I really wonder except mughal era we ourself don't have much record of how India used to be, because most of the libraries were destroyed, we have taken references from foreign travellers and that too describes about how India were and that too we mostly get kings references, so how came today's generation author come to know about life of Indians centuries ago ?

I have read the book Lazza. I bought it in Patna almost 2.5 years ago, then i didn't knew it was banned here.
Taslima Nasrin has written it bravely with evidences and specific data.

I had read several parts of "The Polyester Price" not all becoz it's lengthy.
Yes, it tells about many things of Dhirubhai not only his, but also how political leaders were doing things in his time. Surely it was banned because at one point that book say very bad about political leaders and it shows how thier greed of money and power is above the nation.

Sir I've studied romila thappar's ancient india NCERT, the amount word brahmincle i found their, even gautam buddha never thought of that much in his mind. The Hindus, I don't found anything that wrong with the book everyone has right to express his/her views and banning the book was worst thing one can do. Dear Siddhant! I have read Lajja by Taslima Nasreen. It has nothing offensive about Islam but only a criticism of the Islamic society of Bangladesh. The point of view of Taslima is that how Society should take care of it's minorities but it how it is failed to do so.
I searched google, It was a particular state ban for some books referred here. Some bans were lifted too.
