Hey Steve, I'm commenting because I want you and the rest of Y2AM to know that I'm grateful for your content, and that it's been helpful for me on my journey to Orthodoxy. I appreciate the time and effort that goes into every video, and I hope you keep up the good work. God bless!
beautiful video, thanks Steve for your work to make this videos. It really helps me on my journey to learn more each day about Orthodoxy. Greetings Mark from Holland.
Hi Mark, I noticed your comment because you mentioned Holland...I was curious if you know whether there are many Orthodox parishes in the Netherlands conducting services in Dutch, or if they are largely only immigrant parishes (with services in Greek, Arabic, Russian, etc.)? I'm an Orthodox inquirer in the U.S. but have spent some time in the NL in the past, so I was curious. Bedankt en wees gezegend!
Brother, With much love from Christ, let God who sent me, greet you in peace. Brother, persevere in your vocation, you and your team are helping a lot of people to be more closer to God our Father, through Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit. With sincere love and prayers. Bro. Paolo (not Paul haha) from Philippines (not Philippians haha) God be with you brother! :) Peace out!
Hi Steve! I absolutely love how profound your videos are and how they make me rethink the stories in the Bible. Thank you! What translation do you use in your videos? God Bless!
Beautiful video. I’d point out that before you approach the chalice to receive the Eucharist, each one of you collectively share the same preparatory prayer “I believe, O lord and I confess that thou art truly the Christ, the son of the living God who came into the world to save sinners of whom I am first”. The very point of this public confession is that we are not comparing ourselves with others, but confessing your own sinfulness before God. If we compare ourselves with others. Although we again may come off as good, decent human being. But that does not mean that we are in less need of the saving grace of the Gospel. Do I need “less grace” than the greater sinners because I am comparatively not as bad? The absurdity of such a question is more than immediate.
Great point! I still can't get over how someone like St Basil, who wrote that prayer (as I recall), would call himself the chief of all sinners. Completely sincerely. When reflecting on his sinfulness, he saw just how far he had fallen. Yet he trusted God to lift him up.

How do you know if you’re talking to the real spiritual father? I often pray and I get guidance but how do I know it comes from God and not myself or not a fallen angel?
Lord have mercy on your servant, Anthony. Guide him, have mercy on him, show him the way. We'll add you to our daily prayer list if that's ok with you, too. God bless you!
Are you feeling bad that you put so much effort on all of your videos and got so low views ? I'm feeling bad and I don't know what can I do to help you . One question , is it good to regularly change spiritual father until find one that get some peace or you stick with one and do whatever he says even if deeply in you you don't agree .
If the videos help you, feel free to share them. There's no sense in feeling bad. It's like the Parable of the Sower. The most we can do is sow seeds; whether or not they take root is out of our hands. And that's a difficult question to answer. Honestly, this is something you should discuss with a priest.

Thank God!
We tend to use the NRSV or, sometimes, the NKJV.

Great question.
You want to find someone real to speak to: it could even be your parish priest.
I can't find a good one.
What do you mean?
Steven Christoforou I haven't been able to find a good spiritual father
What does "good" mean in this context? What exactly are you looking for?
Steven Christoforou yea idk just pray for me.
