    I just bought 35x12.5 tires for my stock height 2 door sport JL yesterday. No rubbing and driving feels fine, but they’re too big. It looks so overly-stuffed in the wheel well and it’s driving me nuts. The 33” option looks a lot better. I’m exchanging them today for this size. Thanks for the video 👍🏻

      Good Day Mate No rubbing issues so far and it’s been about 2 weeks since I’ve had them installed. I can make full U-turns and haven’t experienced any rubbing after hitting the bumps at railroad track crossings at around 60 mph. However, I haven’t tried them out off-road at this time.

    Just installed 285/70r17 Falkens on 2024 Sport S. Plenty of room as you have said. No rubbing at all. Plenty of fender flare clearance. Speedometer reads dead on to at most 1 mpg slower than actual (by GPS app). The ride is as smooth as with stock tires.

    I have a ‘21 Sahara JLU completely stock on 18" wheels. Planning to swap the tyres only to 33". We do soft sand dune driving mostly, no trails or rock crawling. Setup is badass! I have a ‘21 Sahara JLU completely stock. Looking for more aggressive tires. Would 17 or 18 inch wheel be better with 33s and no lift, or is the difference only cosmetic? Planning for light to no off-roading, lots of snow driving. Considering a 1.5-2” lift in the future, depending on how “stuffed” the 33s look on stock suspension. Thanks!

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  2 роки тому +1

      The difference between 18s and 17s is mostly cosmetic, honestly! 17" wheels will give you more sidewall on your tires which give you a little more traction off-road, but if you don't plan on doing moderate/challenging trails 18s will be good too! For what you're planning on for your Jeep, I'm thinking a 1.5" lift will be perfect. -Zach

      I would start around 36 psi and adjust from there based off of driving feel. You can always look up the "chalk test method" on finding the proper psi needed for your tires as well, but generally thats best for larger mud-terrain tires instead of an all-terrain 33". -Zach

    Stock Alloy size is 17 x 7.5”
    I’m looking forward to upgrade to 315/70 R17.
    1) Would this tyre fit on 17 x 7.5” alloy.
    2) Would this affect my mileage

    Can you please guide me on this ?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  Рік тому +1

      You may need to add a wheel spacer to avoid rubbing with the wider tire, but we would recommend an aftermarket set of wheels (4.75" of backspacing or less) for the best fitment. It may slightly affect your mileage because the tire will be a bit larger than stock. You will also be ok with no lift and a 305/70. Hope this was helpful.

      @@extremeterrain I'm confused by the offset vs backspacing dimensions. Negative offset moves the mounting surface closer towards the engine (moves the wheel out). A zero offset means the mounting surface is centered in the wheel width, so, on a 9 inch rim, zero offset would produce a backspace of 4.5 inches. How then does a -6 offset (approx 1/4") give a 4.7" backspace? Wouldn't it be 4.3 inches? Thanks.

      It isn't! You'll still be able to fit a 285/70R17 on a Sport model Wrangler no problem. -Zach

    You will destroy the Jeep’s performance if you don’t lift the Jeep. The standard setup against it will do far better in the end. With a Jeep always stick with Mopar approved upgrades or you are destroying your warranty. I went to 33’s from my factory tires and had to get gear adjustment and the lift kit to secure my warranty. I have a 2014 Sport Unlimited with 20,000 miles on it. All Mopar.
