The Trubble Bubble and Water Moccasin were my favorite Joe vehicles. The Trubble Bubble was hard to find. I got one from Kroger, always kept $20 on me in case I found a toy I wanted when I had to go shopping with my mom. That was one of those I finally found one moments in my life. Even all these years later, I still remember it 😂
The old bomb was larger and sat inside where the figure would sit and even had a hole for the backpack plug to hold it in. Old blueprints have it as an aerial mine and the hatch is called the arming access panel. I guess it was supposed to just float around and explode into planes or something? EDIT: Back of the vintage box mentions the flight pod being set up as a preprogrammed drone. Pretty cool for something released in 1985.
I didn't have the Trouble Bubble either until the 25th anniversary too. I'd like to see the vehicles come with the blue-prints like they used to. I loved putting the vehicles together and the stickers on them, it was like a snap-together model kit. I'm still praying for file card too.
I discovered the bomb has a circle on the back that is the exact diameter as lego pieces. So with a small modification the bomb now sits in between the thrusters on my trouble bubble. If you have a gray lego piece you can't even tell you made a modification👍
Looks like a good set, mines coming soon, but I think I’m gonna put one of my extra cobra soldiers in the bubble and leave the televiper standing on his own
I wish the bomb could plug into it somewhere……other then that thing is perfect! I’m unboxing mine now while watching this …….think I’m going to display mine with no driver unless it’s on a flight stand or something looks kinda silly with a fig sitting in it ….and if someone wants to pick it up and check it all out you don’t want a fig in it so mine is going in the case with tele viper and the bom next to it
The "bubble" portion of the vehicle doesn't properly fit in the side slots for mine. The "wedges" that hold the missiles do not stay inside the inserts on both sides of the vehicle as well. Did you also notice the "targeting" decal on the bubble window is also off-center. Great review as usual.
I agree with Kyle. I found there is just one way to put those missile holders in on the sides and once you figure it out they work great. Double check because it can seem like you have it correct but you still might not. When closing the bubble I also had TROUBLE with my BUBBLE (ha) tabs fitting in the slots too - looking closely it was just one of the tabs causing the problem. I slightly filed down the sides of that tab where it was hitting and now the bubble sits into the vehicle nice and flush. I picked up three. Love this thing.
Never had a Trouble Bubble …until today that is. It’s spectacular. Loved how it came with a Tele Viper too cause i never had one of those from RAH days. Hasbro’s Classified line is just hit after hit. Loving it
Tele Viper was my least favorite Cobra troop back in the day. I like the masked face quite a bit though. Never had a Flight Pod when I was a kid. After picking this one up, I wish that I had gotten one!
They took my money on Wednesday and mine will be here tomorrow……I heard some people have got there pre ordereds canceled so keep tabs on your order…….yo joe 👍🏻
This will be my first Trouble Bubble as well, I ordered 4 of these bad boys even though I really don’t care about the Tele-Viper, probably my least favorite of the Cobra troopers, makes you wonder how many Tele-Vipers would have sold had they not included the Trouble Bubble with it. The purple colors are a nice touch though. A Punk With Toys has the perfect way to display the pods using the Hasbro flight stands with some sticky tack. Can’t wait to get these displayed next to Serpentor.
Kyle, from a business point of view. Is there a reason for what appears to be larger packaging than what is needed? You have spoken about shelf space in Walmart/Target but does Hasbro/Mattel make boxes slightly larger to make items visually more impressive? Is there a balance between the two?
Great review. I was really hoping I could get one on the first run, but my preorder got cancelled after these started shipping. Hopefully they do another run of these and I can pick on up. Never had one as a kid, I would love to have one from this line.
I’m sure your local toy shop or comic shop will have one if they carry classified at just like a $10-$20 mark up…….if you can find one for $60-$70 it’s probably a deal …….big bad toy store might have them or entertainment earth
@@George-de6hd unfortunately no, this line isn’t as popular as Marvel Legends so they don’t carry it. Looks like I missed out. This is why I hate preorders sometimes.
Not a step - classic! need that on a T-shirt. I had a brick and mortar store. Punks were standing on top of the bathroom vanity to peer into the ceiling. I actually made that sign and put it in the vanity
We have the problem that it doesn't close and that is an issue in my opinion because it should close! The same problem with the python trubble bubble!!! Same side. It just closes on one side!!! Did you see this? I guess you did not realize it but one peg doesn't match. This is is my opinion the biggest Mistake. If it opens you also wanna close it right? That's the fun. How to solve it? Any Ideas? Besides that you can put the mine behind the big gut.
I got a problem, it's an air vehicle and he comes with no stand or blast effect!!! I was excited for this figure and his ride, but very let down by any variation of stand, or stand effects!!😐😐😐
I had the 3.75” scale trouble bubble as a kid, but it was not lucky, being poor. It was one of few vehicles I could afford. I think this was under $10 or $15 as a kid? It was this and the motorcycle that were the poor man’s vehicles….😂😂😂 But I will skip this one. Had enough of this as a kid.
thanks to Kyle I Just listened to night demon for the first time… they are frickin sweet 🤟🤟 choose your own metal adventure🤣😂thank you so much Kyle! Always awesome watching your channel! Rock on brother!

Can't wait for my 3 to arrive. Had an Original flight pod growing up and have an original one today.
Tele-Vipers are the communications and electronics specialists for Cobra.
G.I. Joe equivalents would be Breaker and Dial-Tone.
Yes that is correct however they do not have individual names etc like the joe counterparts
Fortnight Snake Eyes may have a home.

Gi joe , always ahead of it’s time
Telephone...... telephone

Televiper..........Telly viper!
Great review. Still waiting for mine to ship from Pulse. It was a miss that they didn’t give a flight stand for it.

Love your videos Kyle. I always watch your reviews before I buy my Joes. Greetings from Hungary! I live near Budapest home of Tele-vipers. 😅
Shout out Budapest!

Bomb plugs into the back of the gun. Found that out later
Love that cobra vehicle. Simple and effective. Powerhouse Hobbs is a televiper
LOL. Well done sir
Do u think hasbro should have made provisions for bigger figures with backpacks to hold up fine into the trouble bubble?
One year for Xmas my cousin got a ton of GI Joe stuff, I’m a bit older so I got to put all the vehicles together and put on the stickers.

If you try to move the wedges to the opposite side flip them and they stay better
@@KylePeterson1980 I did just that, but they don't stay in the slot firmly enough. 🙄😒
@@EyeSurpri interesting that’s what I did and they are fine now

Silver mirage next maybe? It would also be small, goes great with the ram
We really need the Ferret.
I didn’t think the price was bad …basically $25 for the figure $30 for the bubble
Fun review! Love the dog bone connections! They said the Dragon fly also uses them. Classic indeed!
Got my
Today. Put the helmet no skin.
The pegs. Once on correctly. It locks. I switch the pegs and boom. It locked on.
I never had the Tele Viper or Trouble Bubble as a kid. The pre order sold out, but it's available again so I'll probably get it.
guess they didn't have those seatbelts back in the 80s when Cobra got their trouble bubble's commandeered so easily
Never had a trouble bubble. Mine is on the way!
Never had a old school bubble never saw one but can’t wait for the classified bubble to arrive
As a kid my Joes were constantly in danger of slipping or being sucked into intakes because eventually i gave up on "Not a step" stickers.
Ha ha
🤘🏻yesss mine will be delivered tomorrow 🤘🏻 I’ll be putting a cobra officer in my pod
Never had one as a kid. Gotta play the unintentional long game. Had some stuff come up so can't grab it now.
I got my 2 from Hasbro yesterday. Loving it. A really good piece and figure. Hail Cobra
Very excited about this one. Had a couple of the originals bc they were in the cartoons so much.

I have 2 and one of the canopy pegs will not clip on the vehicle. Same issue on both
The little plastic piece is a retro style atomic bomb without the casing, just tylie stylized with its own engine
Vintage bubble. The bomb / droid sat in pilot seat. And the Bubble became a flying bomb lol. Not sure where this one goes either.
They still haven’t charged me for my pre-order. I’m so excited for this
Me too! But my available ship date is October 1st.

Omg! I hope my order doesn't get cancelled. I checked my order and it just says pending...
Cool review & the figure is awesome but I don’t remember black face tele -viper 🤷🏻♂️
Had the OG trouble Bubble, can’t wait for this one to arrive. Thanks for the great review Kyle!
This thing is great. Got 4. Waiting for them to go back up so I can get me some more
Got two on pre order with Hasbro Pulse. But it says available to ship October 1st....
The third head is from the cyber-tronics department of Cobra team.
Looking forward to getting this bad boy. Not sure if my flight stand will hold it, but we'll see.

I can't wait until they make the star brigade series vehicles. they're so expensive buying complete ones .

This won’t be at Walmart target I don’t believe. But it was a bit extreme in box size I thought.
