I adopted a previously abused chocolate lab. He was petrified to climb stairs (had been kicked down them maybe?). He'd howl at bottom of stairs (wanting to come up and sleep/be with us). It took putting food on each stair (very food motivated) and helping him climb while he hugged the wall side of the stairs, cowering and shaking, tail between legs and MANY repetitions of this until he finally felt safe and climbed stairs on his own. Poor dog had many other fears we had to work on as well. We got him at 2 yrs old, by his 3rd b-day most of his fears were cured and he lived a beautiful life as a member of our family for 15 more years - RIP Shadow. A very rewarding experience and I'd do it all again in a NY minute!
What a wonderful story about Shadow ❤. So many people don't understand the joy an animal can bring to your family. I had a Great Pyrenees dog, he was almost 200 lb. We never lived in a house with stairs so Bear had no clue. One day we had to move and we stayed at a hotel for a few days. The hotel put us on the 3rd floor, there were no elevators. There was no way Bear was going to walk up the stairs. I've had Bear since he was a very small puppy, I got him off a farm, so he's never seen stairs before. I'm thankful he was never abused like your dog might have been. It was one of the hardest things trying to carry such a large dog up 3 flights of stairs. He laid down and dead weighted us 😂. Then fast forward years down the road we moved into a two-story house bear was not having the stairs 😂. He refused to go up them but eventually, he went up to the first landing and he would lay down. He did exactly what Shadow did, he would hug the wall, face the wall, and shake while walking up the stairs slowly. At the top of my stairs we had a giant two-room office and in the center of it was a balcony. So not only did Bear feel like he could fall down the stairs, but he also felt like he could fall through the office area too. Eventually, his fears went away. He was the love of my life, the best dog I could ever ask for. He passed at 11 years old. My family and I miss him very much. Seeing his eyes widen and running away was so funny. Here he is one of the biggest dogs in the world being scared of stairs. It was kind of funny at the time. Because he's this giant livestock Guardian dog, he could literally eat a person whole but stairs was the one thing he got scared of 😂. All of our bedrooms were upstairs eventually I think that's what got him to go up the stairs because he is a livestock Guardian dog and it's their job to watch their family. I am glad you were patient with Shadow and you showed him not to be scared of the stairs. R.I.P Bear and Shadow ❤🥹.

I had a rescue like Ivy who could get out of anything. When we would get home from work, we would have messages from neighbors, he could open windows, and doors, climb like a monkey, and he finally did get hit by a car. He healed from the car but never stopped trying to escape. We would take him on very long off-leash runs every day, swimming, everything trying to make him so tired he would not want to escape, but until he was 13, he never stopped. We loved him dearly, but he was a chore for the family.
We have 3 out of five res 24:32 cued dogs that escape to hunt for rabbits and rats, one lived on the streets for three years feeding herself until we heard of her, no stopping menina.
I’ve been watching you since the day one when you lived in the alley in California you bringing those people together with a reptiles and making them realize the fears are the same with animals was an awesome idea. I live in Ohio and my friends called me the dog whisperer, but I don’t know anything, but that is an awesome idea to get the owners to figurethem out. There are no bad dogs just bad owners. A case caused by the trauma of abuse like this is such an important one. Not just for Ivy herself but to show the world how to confront and overcome residual fear and get a happy new life. At the beginning the dad seemed so certain Ivy couldn't be helped. At the end I think I sense a slightly hurt ego at being proved wrong, but far outweighed by happiness for his family and Ivy and respect for Cesar.
This is so sad my dog is now 16 and nearly deaf but in her prime she ran at any loud noses. Thunder and fireworks were the worst. I have a large closet in the middle of the house id set up camp in there until things calmed down. This is Hell to live with. Go Cesar Go.
My dogs are also terrified of thunder, lightning and esp fireworks. I turn on the radio at a loud volume and try to distract them. I wish i was able to afford the Thunder shirts for all 9 of my dogs. Ive heard they work great.

I had volunteered to help clear out a yard and crumbling shed for a old gentlemen in my neighborhood when I was in my early 20's. When we got the door open, there were several wasp nests. Black ones, yellow jackets, and things. We needed a couple of the yard tools in that shed, and didn't have a choice. Everyone else was terrified of them, or allergic, so I volunteered to go in and get them. The others couldn't believe it, and wanted to put tons of layers on me. I declined. Stopped and did meditation breathing and calming for several minutes, kept breathing that way as I went in and out of the shed getting the tools. I explained same concept Cesar does in this video. Relaxed, calm energy keeps the wasps calm. If i move slowly and easily they move slowly and easily. If they fly at my face at hover I pause, let them look at me, and once they moved I moved. I had a couple land on me to check me out, but they weren't buzzing with aggression at all. They were curious.

I have seen a few of your videos, and all are quite interesting, but this one was simply amazing! Six years of fear is like forever. Bringing Ivy back from there was superb!
Dear Cesar, it just so happened less than 5 minutes ago I told my husband to let me know when he was going to start using a hand staple gun. I told my dog Kiwi to go inside because I know she does not like the sound and will jump our fence. She went potty, I thought she was going to come back to come inside, but instead she hopped no sooner than I said it. I’m so glad that I came across this video so I can start working on her behavior. Aside from this she is a wonderful dog. My son rescued her from a very large ditch that is one block away from our home. She was trying to cling onto a board because it had a lot of water in it. He was able to get in and pull her out. I have a feeling that this is the root of the cause. I can leave the gate door wide open and Kiwi nor Juno will walk out if I am there to redirect them. Without fail, after watching your videos I have been very successful training my dogs. ❤. With all that said, I also have a Blue Heeler mix who loves to take walks, but for some reason she always gets very nervous when we put her harness on. Juno has never been traumatized because we have had her from the day she turned 6 weeks old. I’ve tried everything possible to get her to trust the harness. Once we do get it on her, she starts shivering and she freezes up for a minute and will begin walking. I have always put her on the harness because she has pulled out of her collar before. My fear is that she will not find her way home and get hurt or lost. Kiwi on the other hand does come back after she’s been out. We will also bring her back in as soon as she gets out. I would love and appreciate it if you have any videos that can teach me how to get Juno how not to be afraid of her harness. ❤
Blindfold was a genius move! ❤ As was the reptiles! My son had pythons & cornsnakes, guess who had to handle, clean & feed them when he was at University? 😂
you're a nice person and a cool mom for stepping up to take care of those reptiles! I can totally understand how they might freak someone out, but as a reptile lover, that's really sweet of you!
Cesar 911 is one of my top 3 best programs Ever. Cesar is a Genius, he understands the language of energy so so well. Wendy has a beautiful heart. Her love for Ivy is transparent. I would love to meet this young lady.
love and hugs sent to you Ivy a beautiful dog and Cesar, you know I am in England on LBC Radio station I love Cesar to go on there and talk about dogs and owners we had a presenter saying that there are bad dogs would not accept that the owners are the problem and the way they have been treated I say no pet is bad its the owner. Cesar, you are the best angel that been put on this earth to save these dogs and to educate humans
With every video I become more and more convinced that the issue isn't just the dog's behaviour itself. It's owners too. I did not notice that any of the dog's owners expressed their reflection about their behaviour and asked Ceasar what they are doing wrong that their pet is out of control.
There was a tiny part of me that couldn't help but root for her to escape. I know its wrong but damn she was so good at it, I just can't help myself from rooting for an underdog.... No pun intended.
It must be hard for Craig to live in this household - I feel his pain. No wonder the dog wants out. I loved the way Ivy gave Cesar a good hill session (must have taken him back to his days doing athletics). Such a great dog - I still find it hard to understand how a human can hurt such an animal (shoot it with a gun), very sad. You can see that Cesar did not want to let Ivy go home because he got attached to her.
I like how you explained everything to Wendy (the young woman?) and encouraged her. You usually explain things better to the younger ones than us older ones. It's more helpful for me to hear the explanations that you give the younger ones. It makes more sense, in my opinion. We moved many years ago for just a few years and had to adapt to everything that entails: new environment, new people, new situations, etc. My mantra for to my kids about our dog was what I learned from you forever ago: a tired dog is a happy dog, a happy dog is a good dog. That conquered more than half of his adjustment issues to that new place and was very helpful in the next place we lived as well. Thank you. You do more for us humans than you think.
Cesar you're a genius and your focus and determination with Ivy really helped her control her fear & anxiety. I love watching you and how you really love what you do. Thank you Cesar!!!
correcting humans more than dogs...the actual reason behind most cases. watching ur videos helped me a lot to have better relation with my dog and increased my confidence . Thanks a lot Cesar...and I love ur cool style 😎😇🔥
Thank you, Cesar🌟♥. I LOVE your videos! You are a Divine Gift to Earth for the beloved dogs of this world. The Humans here really need your help. You are so very wise, and your energy is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Blessings to you dear one.
Hello Marina, I'm really much impressed by your profile. I don't normally write in here but I think you deserve this compliment. Where are you from? I can send you a text if you don’t mind.
I think that's the first time I've seen Cesar allow a dog to walk in front of him, I learned that by allowing a timid dog to walk in front it helps give them confidence, which is why I allow my little dog to do that and it has worked, but if she becomes worried over something then I calmly bring her back to my side and become pack leader to assure her I'm watching out
Awesome, Cesar... Another family with their case, pet & text pass!! You are a 💯 % Master On Behavior!! ❤🐕❤ God bless you and your team. ❤️❤️❤❤❤❤🙏❤️❤️❤️❤❤
Like 90% of the others in my area walk their dogs on the harness. Its so bizarre. Maybe thats why people seem to walk their dogs like twice a season. Me and my old boy walk and run so much even at his age.
I see almost everyone with a harness now. It’s sad, and usually (nearly always) they are terrible leash pullers! Retractable leashes don’t help either. We used just a basic choke chain with our Doberman and it was more than adequate.
Exactly. I have a harness for my dog, but only use it while travelling in a car. For walks I use a simple leather collar on her and the foster dog has her martingale collar
Many years ago my younger self wanted to adopt a dog, but the rescue required all adopters to sign a commitment saying they would not use collars, only harnesses or head halters. I was so mad. I ended up not using that resuce, but the sad truth is so many people who don't know better are going to adopt from places like that and think they are compassionate and everyone else is cruel.
I have a small pup prone to traceal collapse so I use a harness to avoid her neck. But yes you are right. They can get out if they want to. When I first brought her home she got out of so many of them. Now that she is pass her 333 she allows it stay on for walks 😂😂
We had a beloved Chocolate Lab who was 3 when we got him. He was scared to walk on our floor thru the kitchen to get to the doggie door. We bought a series of rugs which he used to go thru the kitchen. We removed 1 rug per week and he was fine as long as he had another to go to. Finally, we were able to get rid of the last rug and he had no problem after that. We lost him to doggie heaven last summer at 13 years. He is so very missed.

Cesar ,improving dogs lives one human at a time. ❤
Cesar is fantastic I wish I had him in Germany against my own panic attacks ❣️
Good on the family. They did what Cesar told them to do and stepped up.
Cesar is a TRUE HERO❤❤❤
Wielki szacunek za cudowną pracę i pomoc psom oraz ludziom 🥰😍
Cesar, Thanks for all you have done for all these dogs and their families 🙏❤️🙏👍👍👍
Cesar, thank you for been who you are, following for many years and learned a lot
This was a fantastic episode of overcoming fear. This was a special case and Caesar succeeded again. Well done
You are an amazing human Ceaser! Thanks for sharing this story & all the other challenges you help animals and their owners overcome❤
I'm so happy for Cesar finding a beautiful woman,
Yes I SO AGREE WITH YOU. I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING. HE DESERVES A BEAUTIFUL LADY LIKE THAT TO LOVE AND SUPPORT HIM.❤😊
😂 hot
Cesar 911 is one of my top 3 best programs Ever. Cesar is a Genius, he understands the language of energy so so well. Wendy has a beautiful heart. Her love for Ivy is transparent. I would love to meet this young lady.
Cesar, you never cease to amaze me.
He is a great dogs teacher.❤👌
This was a fascinating case, and Cesar is making the world a better place for both animals and humans.
its so amazing how we love our fur babies
Wasn't expecting that ending 😂 I wasn't hungry anyway lol! Cesar you are awesome. Love how you show figuring out the process ❤ Happy New Year 🎉
Gracias por tu contenido César!
Ivy you're a good girl! Huge hugs! Wish I could give you treats! Hope the family continue the leadership, care & love she needs?
I love the dedication to helping Ivy. Simply beautiful ❤
It was captivating watching Cesar train Ivy. That took a lot of work. Big SUCCESS!
love and hugs sent to you Ivy a beautiful dog and Cesar, you know I am in England on LBC Radio station I love Cesar to go on there and talk about dogs and owners we had a presenter saying that there are bad dogs would not accept that the owners are the problem and the way they have been treated I say no pet is bad its the owner.
If there was a competition for fence-climbing, Ivy would be a top competitor. She climbs those fences like a squirrel.
There was a tiny part of me that couldn't help but root for her to escape. I know its wrong but damn she was so good at it, I just can't help myself from rooting for an underdog.... No pun intended.
Brawo Cesar, jesteś świetny w tym co robisz. 👍
One of the BEST cesar's "trick" that i've seen! Wow! Fears...you can control it!!! Thank you so much!!!
cesar i wish you did 911 updates after a few months of an episode
What a good idea 💡 😮
This is a great episode, working a difficult situation with a charming dog.
Cesar you're a genius and your focus and determination with Ivy really helped her control her fear & anxiety. I love watching you and how you really love what you do. Thank you Cesar!!!
¡It’s mind boggling! César is the best
correcting humans more than dogs...the actual reason behind most cases. watching ur videos helped me a lot to have better relation with my dog and increased my confidence . Thanks a lot Cesar...and I love ur cool style 😎😇🔥
This is a good video for teens tonwatch to learn the difference about giving on to all emotions vs setting them aside when needed.
Mom has a great personality for teaching.
Fantastic a very big challenge well done Cesar👏👏👏👏
This is the best video of Cesar’s I’ve seen!
29:57 I’m not crying you’re 😭
This dog broke my heart
Amazing lessons learned here. Thank u Cesar!
Thank you, Cesar🌟♥. I LOVE your videos! You are a Divine Gift to Earth for the beloved dogs of this world. The Humans here really need your help. You are so very wise, and your energy is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Blessings to you dear one.
Fantastic! Such hard work and miracle result......!!!!
Hello Marina, I'm really much impressed by your profile. I don't normally write in here but I think you deserve this compliment. Where are you from? I can send you a text if you don’t mind.
That was incredible, Cesar! You rock!❤
My heart broke for Ivy. It was joyful to see her reconditioned to calmness under stress.
Fearless environment 👍 Yay Love it ❣️ Great Family and always great respect for Ceaser who is the Miracle Worker 💕
Oh, I can feel the emotional release this family must have felt. What a change for all of them.
Another awesome vid, filled with lots of very useful information 👍
I have to say, I really, REALLY enjoyed this longer vid. Thank you ❤❤
Thanks!
I think that's the first time I've seen Cesar allow a dog to walk in front of him, I learned that by allowing a timid dog to walk in front it helps give them confidence, which is why I allow my little dog to do that and it has worked, but if she becomes worried over something then I calmly bring her back to my side and become pack leader to assure her I'm watching out
LOVE the entire 'gang' of Cesars dog all hanging out together
Awesome, Cesar... Another family with their case, pet & text pass!!
You are a 💯 % Master On Behavior!! ❤🐕❤
God bless you and your team.
❤️❤️❤❤❤❤🙏❤️❤️❤️❤❤
Tip from a dog walker, all dogs can get out of a harness if they want to! Also, harnesses encourage pulling
He is so very missed.
increible transformacion. Gracias por tu trabajo
