OB/GYN and mom here. My advice: 1. Don’t pack stool softener. They’ll give you some and a lot of times they won’t let you take outside medicines. 2. Don’t pack the perfume. It will be overwhelming to the baby when you do skin to skin. Also it is important to the baby to be able to smell what you actually smell like because that’s part of how they recognize you and it makes them feel safe. 3. Tip: Pack an extra washcloth. One will be to wash with if you decide to shower, and the other will be for during labor. A cold wet washcloth on the back of the neck is so refreshing during contractions. 4. Buy some Depends. You won’t need them at the hospital but once you’re home they’re much easier than pads. 5. Tip: Bring some little bags of candy or goodies for the nurses. That’s how you get the good ones lol. 6. Buy some Preparation-H for at home. Trust me. 7. Make sure to bring your most comfortable face mask because, depending on your hospital, you’ll either have to wear one the whole time or most of it. 8. You probably don’t need your water bottle. Hospitals usually give you a giant water cup with a straw. Best of luck!
I feel so lucky.. I had my little boy feburary 26th and the only time I had to wear my mask was going into the hospital. In labor and delivery and post partum we didn't have to wear them at all.
Helpful tip I wrote a list of last minute things to grab like water bottle and taped the list to the door so my husband could see on our way out and grab it. Also bring snacks for Carlos because of covid my husband couldn't leave the room even to the cafeteria so snacks really helped . Wishing you the best of luck and praying for a healthy and safe delivery ❤
Hi Cassie, so excited about baby. May I give you a little friendly advice. I get the fact that you want to smell nice but baby will be smelling your strong perfume and he is just a newborn. Plus you will want to be doing skin to skin and it is best that baby smell your own body smell and not the perfume. I think it will be to strong for him and he just starting to smell the outside world. Best of luck😀
@@pattihawks93 She said the hospital will provide alot that includes a blanket and wipes as well they do that in the United States for most hospitals. I know because i have 2 kids.

Hi Cassie, I would pack a boppy as well... you could totally use pillows at the hospital, but the boppy is so much more comfortable. You will do great!
Postpartum RN here! The only thing I wouldn't bother taking with you is the colace - your nurse will want to keep track of all the medications you're taking during your stay, and your hospital will provide you with that while you're there. Definitely keep it in your medicine cabinet at home, though! Other than that I think you packed really well!
Also if you ask for Miralex your hospital will give you that instead of the colace. After i had back surgery i found out it works better and quicker. .
When I had my son I over packed a bag for him. In your personal bag I would pack a couple of outfits for jaxton, a receiving blanket, burp cloth, socks, onesis if you don't want to use the hospital ones, swaddle. As far as the nursing pads, it all depends on how long you stay. My milk didn't fully come in until after I left the hospital
You should take a letter board to put behind the baby in the bassinet at the hospital with his name, date of birth time and weight !! For pictures ! I always see people do it and I think it’s a neat idea for newborn pictures !! Like this so Cassie can see it!!!!
Omg. I can’t believe the baby is almost here I cannot wait to meet the baby I love you guys so much you guys are going to be such amazing parents I loved your diaper/ Hospital bag super cute
Your milk comes in about 3 days after birth so you really don’t need the nursing pads ... your bag is really cute I wish you all the best for the birth of jaxton 😊greetings from the uk 🇬🇧

Hey Cassie, I would leave your perfume as Mr Jaxton will need to smell your natural smell. Also, a couple going home options for Jaxton as well, or sleepers during your hospital stay. I would also throw in a burp cloth or two(they don’t take up much space). I think you’ve packed your bag really well and I can’t believe he’s almost here!
Also look on Amazon for something called popsicle pads they're really good they have like the witch hazel on them that you need for after birth they are really good I used them with my daughter and it just keeps you cool down there
First of all congratulations! It won't be long now before he is here! I'm a mom to three boys. Everything looks good that you packed! I would also add maybe flip flops for the hospital shower, also some night time snacks after baby is born. I was always hungry in the night while I was nursing. Also, something I discovered with my last delivery post partum, was heat packs! They have them at the hospital and they are amazing on your belly as your uterus contracts down after baby is born. And a boppy makes nursing so much easier in the hospital too! Good luck to you, can't wait to see baby Jaxton!
I had my baby boy in November..for sure bring Carlos some money and change for vending machines..Not sure about your hospital but mine would not let my husband leave to get food but they would bring him a tray from the cafeteria if he paid for it. Sometimes they will have a little snacking area in the labor and delivery for husbands to go get snacks. I would bring your own pillow as well cause hospitals pillows ain't really comfy and if you end up with an epidural your back may hurt and you will want a comfy pillow behind you. and a long phone charger is a must have! Can't wait until you have him
I reccomend packing two going home outfits.one in preemie and one in nb since you wont know how big baby will be. My 7lb baby did not end up fitting his nb coming home outfit
Here’s something that might be able to help you guys! I know that only Carlos will be able to be there and how you guys were talking about having trouble filming while your in labor since he’s gonna be helping you at the same time. You guys should watch the LaBrant Fams labor and delivery for there baby boy! They also had him during the pandemic. They filmed most of it and it was also only the 2 of them there. The videos called “THE OFFICIAL LABRANT FAMILY LABOR AND DELIVERY!!!” I hope this helped! So excited for you guys and can’t wait to see Jaxton❤️
I used to be a midwifery assistant. You did a really good job of packing. The only thing I would add (unless I missed you saying it) is hair ties. You won't want your hair in your face while you're labouring & most women don't want their hair touching their neck either, which is why a lot of women will sport a messy bun or a top knot during labour.
One thing that I found useful was cheap flipflops to go to and from the toilets and showers plus you don't need to take them off in the shower. You won't want to be bending down too much so these are a must xx
I always made sure I had a little purse full of dollar bills and change for the pop/snack machines. Its awesome for Carlos if he wants to just sneak down to one for a little snack or for some coffee or pop.
I would highly recommend depends adult diapers for going home. I used the for the first two weeks postpartum with two of my babies and I wish I knew about them with my first. They are way more comfortable than the big pads the hospital gives you 😍
Thank you!!! I was writing the same thing! They were easily the most used thing I packed. I could make do without anything else but those were just so much more comfortable and in my opinion less messy than the pads the hospital gives you
Hi guys! From the UK here...i cannot recommend enough a flannel (wash cloth). A cold wash cloth on your forehead - particularly while having contractions - is beyond a Euphoric feeling!! (It was for me personally anyway) Good luck to you all & starting this next adventure x
Just alittle advice - baby will want to smell his mamas natural scent! Not perfume 🙂 my nurses had me up and showered a couple hours after I gave birth. You will want to shower... lol trust me. 😅
I agree deodorants are one thing but definitely not perfume. Baby needs to smell mommas milk. While I was with my daughter through her 3 month stay in nicu I had certain rules and one was not to wear perfume and baby needs to smell momma. Xx
I am so happy for you guys you are going to be the best mom and just saying the baby is going to want to smell you not the perfume. So excited to see baby boy!! You are going to raise such a little sweet hart, he is going to be so wonder full.
I’m so excited for you and Carlos! Everybody has great advice in the comments but the two main things I want to tell you are you won’t need your perfume because it’ll be too much for the baby and you don’t need your breast pads at the hospital. Most likely your milk won’t come in for a few days and you don’t really leak tremendously until the milk comes in and by then y’all should be home. Good luck you can do this!
you did a great job Cassie.. leave the stool softener and perfume, may give the baby a reaction and i would use what the hospital gives u if u get constipated. make sure they will supply u with pads and tucks cooling pads, and that squeeze bottle will be your best friend. i would also bring a few pacifiers and the babies going home outfit and outfits for the hospital. make sure u go to your local firehouse or police department and have them install the base of the car seat correctly. if Carlos leaves the hospital after the baby is born and can bring the dogs a blanket the baby was in , that will help the dogs recognize his scent when you bring baby home. One more thing lol i would bring a formula of your choice preferably a gentle brand to start, just in case the baby doesnt latch, you dont want to use the hospital formula, its usually cheap and too thick for the baby, bring the already mixed in the glass bottles where u can just screw on the newborn nipple, you have to ask for the smallest nipple they have so the baby doesnt gag. Good luck Cassie and Carlos.. many blessings.
Such good ideas but I wanna suggest bring something to distract you like a game to play with Carlos something to entertain you. And maybe a boppy and or pillow for comfort and maybe a small blanket or throw.
Congratulations on your upcoming birth! Remind Carlos to take some kind of sandals or slippers to wear during labor and after. My husband did not have his, and was only in his socks, and ended up with very sore feet after standing on them for 18 hours. Also, stock up on preparation h cream and preparation h soothing pads for when you get home. I did not, and ended up having to have family go get them for me. 🤦 even if you end up with a C-section like I did with my second, you will definitely still need them! It's so odd, but you will. Best of luck to you! ❤️
I would pack extra of everything because after my c section I had to stay 4 days. Make sure Carlos takes snacks. I remember I just wore a robe for 2 days because of the pain and frequent checks they do. I just wore their gowns both times I never ordered my own though it is totally cute. I took a boppy pillow too! For Carlos make sure he have extra clothing and snacks because who knows how long labor is!! I over pack for everything though
Definitely pack some water proof sandals for the shower. Hospital floors get pretty dirty buy also you don't want to slip in the shower, especially if you have a c-section. I got a pair off of Amazon and just wore those to the hospital so I didn't have multi shoes.
You are going to be great parents The only thing I would consider is a going home outfit but truly your child will have the best parents ever I love your videos.💗
girl you should buy the different flavored honey sticks! i love honey but after a while it gets strong and boring so a variety of different flavored honey sticks is so so much better! you can get them at amish markets or even some gas stations have them. they are so so yummy💕
Can Carlos do a video on what he is taking! Like snacks and stuff to keep him entertained for the time your resting! Also perfume might be too much for the baby and he could have a reaction to it!
Girl pleasees bring you some adult depends!!!!!!! My hospital provides everything as well but it’s not great and I promise you, you’ll be so happy with the adult diapers. If not at least have them for when you get home! They were the greatest thing I got for recovery and in hospital as well as extra pads to put inside until the bleeding slows down!
You are not gonna wanna do your makeup, if you go into labor naturally and are not induced. Because you will be in too much pain. Also you will want to bring your own pillow. Hospital pilows are flat and it will help to have support on your neck and head.
@@danabeardmore2356 Yes. Im going on my third I know Here in the United States they provide Diapers,Wipes and Blankets as well as postpartum things. 😊 And I never felt like doing makeup while in labor either. I be feeling ppl waste time trying to put on foundation like Your newborn baby is not gonna remember how you looked lol.
Cassie and Carlos your going to be perfect parents! Jaxton is going to love you both so much! Did you get his diaper bag ready yet? I can't wait for April to be here so we can all finally meet Jaxton! I also love the nursery the theme is beautiful! #AprilComeSoon #Jaxton #C&C&J Life #CeCe&Koda🐾
U should bring a fire stick to hook up to the tv in there so u can watch more channels then what they provide! It’s super nice and even can turn calming things on as well definitely pack one if u have it!!
A couple of things a lot of people don't usually recommend is to pack ur own pillow or blanket u have no clue how long u will be there. I'm a mom of two girls. Also bring a laptop or tablet so you and Carlos won't be super bored during labor it's also a good distraction. And the both of u will wonderful parents.
I recommend bringing snacks for Carlos, or change for the vending machines. Idk if you’re bringing him a hospital bag but I packed my husband just a few essentials to have while I was in labor and even after
Yes, you will want to shower. It might be like a day after delivery or before you go home. But you will want to shower. And it will feel sooo good! Lol
I think the breastmilk pads are a great idea! In case you have a csection I’d bring one more undie just in case BUT the hospital does have undies which I thought were really comfortable!
Definitely a boppy a coming home outfit for jaxtton pajamas for him that buttons or something so it’s easy when they need to look at him definitely a blanket a nice warm one that way he’s not cold going home most hospitals provide things like diapers but you could still bring a couple if you wanted they probably will have pacifiers but you can always bring one bring baby wipes don’t forget things like scratch mittens or socks and a hat for coming home and make sure the car seat is put together and you know how to use it they will want to make sure it’s safe and you know how to use it I forgot about a burp cloth
I think it's a great hospital bag! Don't forget to bring lots of snacks because after L&D, you will be super hungry (and during those late night nursing sessions).

You are going to be great parents
The only thing I would consider is a going home outfit but truly your child will have the best parents ever I love your videos.💗
Im so happy for you cassie 😊 your so beautiful ! 😊😍
And your going to be the best parents
girl you should buy the different flavored honey sticks! i love honey but after a while it gets strong and boring so a variety of different flavored honey sticks is so so much better! you can get them at amish markets or even some gas stations have them. they are so so yummy💕
Don't forget the baby swaddling blanket. Outfit for discharging. Depends what hospital you go some you'll get getting formula cloth diapers
Best call the hospital and ask they will tell you what they have and what is necessary to bring.
Best parents every
I packed two swaddle blankets, socks and hats. Going home outfit also but something that won't rub on the cord much
Can Carlos do a video on what he is taking! Like snacks and stuff to keep him entertained for the time your resting! Also perfume might be too much for the baby and he could have a reaction to it!
I would also bring some thank you cards and small gifts for the nurses. I always do that and they appreciate it a lot.
It’s ab that time hope you all have a blessed day and a blessed birth bless you all
Girl pleasees bring you some adult depends!!!!!!! My hospital provides everything as well but it’s not great and I promise you, you’ll be so happy with the adult diapers. If not at least have them for when you get home! They were the greatest thing I got for recovery and in hospital as well as extra pads to put inside until the bleeding slows down!
When you start having contractions, throw whatever else you want IN THE BAG ( not at Carlos, bad joke). SO EXCITED to see Jaxton!
She is already having contractions
@@brittneyscott4644 lol i was having a brain fart trying to write that and ended up forgetting to say constant 🤦🏻♀️. Thank you 😊
Oh okay and sorry I wasn't trying to sound rude if I did.
@@brittneyscott4644 nope, not at all😊 I have a disability that affects my brain and words are harder, you are helping and we need more of that.
You are not gonna wanna do your makeup, if you go into labor naturally and are not induced. Because you will be in too much pain. Also you will want to bring your own pillow. Hospital pilows are flat and it will help to have support on your neck and head.
Thats True. and those who do their makeup end up messing it up while in labor.
@@aleesharenea8565 yea. Ive had 4 babies, and never had the time or energy while in labor to stop and do my makeup.
Also, all i packed was a going home outfit for me and baby, and a pair of grippy socks. Nothing else.
@@aleesharenea8565 lol yep
Cassie and Carlos your going to be perfect parents! Jaxton is going to love you both so much! Did you get his diaper bag ready yet? I can't wait for April to be here so we can all finally meet Jaxton! I also love the nursery the theme is beautiful!

U should bring a fire stick to hook up to the tv in there so u can watch more channels then what they provide! It’s super nice and even can turn calming things on as well definitely pack one if u have it!!
Bring nail clippers you can open the honey sticks with them or if you just need them to
you should do What I Packed In My baby's bag for the hospital
A couple of things a lot of people don't usually recommend is to pack ur own pillow or blanket u have no clue how long u will be there. I'm a mom of two girls. Also bring a laptop or tablet so you and Carlos won't be super bored during labor it's also a good distraction. And the both of u will wonderful parents.
Don’t forget baby Jaxton’s coming home outfit
Yes!!!
@@pattihawks93 lol
@Isabel Cunningham lol
Omg I would forgot my hospital bag
Yes a small going home bag for the baby. A few outfits, swaddler, diapers.
I recommend bringing snacks for Carlos, or change for the vending machines. Idk if you’re bringing him a hospital bag but I packed my husband just a few essentials to have while I was in labor and even after
Love you and cant wait to see Jayden come into the world
Jaxton *
It’s Jaxston
You should do a what’s in the baby’s hospital bag!!🥺💘
Yes, you will want to shower. It might be like a day after delivery or before you go home. But you will want to shower. And it will feel sooo good! Lol
I think the breastmilk pads are a great idea! In case you have a csection I’d bring one more undie just in case BUT the hospital does have undies which I thought were really comfortable!
Cassie use the black one during labour because it’s darker colour so it will take up most of the blood
Your hospital bag is super cute
Can’t wait to see this precious baby boy 💙 you both will be awesome parents
I can't wait for the baby yayyyyyy!😁😀
Y’all are gonna be such a adorable family 🙌☺️
You guys are going to be amazing parents
Where did you get your bag from I love it? Also cant wait to see your baby boy. Are yall gonna do a delivery video?
Amazon
I’m so excited for you both!!
Get a spritz bottle to spray cold water down there after as irs super sore and will being relief for ya
Yay a yay I’m so excited
As a Mom of 3 i think you did a great job Cassie :)
I always packed the baby’s baby book bc the nurse did their foot prints and handprints in it for me! The nurses did it for our 3 babies.
I don’t know what anybody else but every single time like randomly in this video like a green glitch thing pops up
