I really do think that all the acting done in this show that reconstructs the case for the viewer is extremely underrated. The actors are hands dwn awesome. Its a huge part of the show that makes it soooo amazing

Who commits a crime to the extent of robbing a bank and throwing a bound man into a river and then hang around in that same town? God, what an awful way to die…
Even more stupid is that after they robbed the bank, they continued to live in a jurisdiction that the FBI would be able to easily find and investigate them.
