    So you may have clicked this video expecting to see some crazy AWP plays from s1mple, but that's just not how he plays T Overpass with an AWP. This video represents what he does 90% of the time on T Overpass with an AWP. If you were expecting something different, apologies! But I hope this video gives some insight on what you should be doing as an AWPer on the T side of Overpass!

      i dont think s1mple is as comfortable as he is on other maps so he just plays a bit more passive ?

    • @mahone_tv
      @mahone_tv  4 роки тому +3

      @@wrathcs I think this is more due to the nature of awping on overpass T side, many awpers usually take passive roles or they opt to rifle instead. As the angles are very close range as you take the sites and longer range as you reach the site, I think it makes sense that awpers are used in this way.

    since you have done quite a few vids already focusing on 1 player/role, maybe try do a vid on comparing 2 players playing same role. Maybe something like Amanek vs Xyp9x in mirage B. Considering Amanek likes to double awp vs Xyp9x pure rifle and how G2 really love to play aggresive for information, I'm sure there'd be quite a few different scenarios that these 2 would play differently. I'd really love to see how 2 very different teams react to certain areas being taken control of, or different queues from the enemy team.

      @mahone_tv  4 роки тому

      This is a great suggestion. However I'm making it a goal of mine to go through all of the spots in the map first before I make comparisons! There is not much content out there regarding certain spots (especially on newer maps), so I'm trying to do this first before I make comparison videos.

      @@mahone_tv Ok. I understand. By the way, have you done a video on pit inferno yet? Because I saw the electronic apps video and I play it slightly differently yet I got alot out of that video. However, I am slightly still confused on when to transition from apps/balcony to pit. And sometimes, I feel like having a smoke is a necessity for playing pit because it's like the most mollied position in A site. So I feel really reluctant on throwing my smoke in apps sometimes. For me, right now I just generally go pit when one of our A players, whether archside or lane dies, or 1 B player died and the archside player rotates off. so I can cover 2 spots. Is this the correct timing on when to transition to pit?

    • @mahone_tv
      @mahone_tv  4 роки тому +2

      @@f0rtyy815 Deciding when to transition to pit vs staying on balcony is very situational. I won't be able to cover all the possible scenarios but I can tell you some of the things to consider when deciding to play between balc or pit. I don't think you should always think of it as transitioning from balc to pit, and here's why.
      The strength of playing pit is being able to anchor easily against any type of A hit for the reasons that you mentioned (being able to watch multiple entrances, using the smoke to one-way, etc), but it's not a good spot to be able to get information because you're far away from any entrances.
      The strength of playing balc is flexibility; you're able to push apps for information if you need to, you have the ability to fall back to pit before getting a kill, and you can take multiple different angles on porch side as Ts come into site. But playing balc is not a good anchor spot because you're generally very open, there isn't much cover around you so you can be traded relatively easily in comparison to pit.
      To decide when you should play balc vs pit, you should take note of how the Ts are playing against you. If you happen to face a lurker a lot of the time in apps, it may be more favourable to play balc more often so that you have the ability to push this lurker if your team needs information to get into a better setup. If you happen to face a lot of fast rushes, it may be more favourable to play pit because you're in a good spot to stall their rush with your positioning and utility, as well as not being traded easily. There really isn't a clear cut answer for this, but do keep in mind that there are many variables when it comes to deciding whether you should play pit or balc. Ultimately it really depends a lot on whether you feel your team needs you to be static so you can be a turret, or whether your team needs you to be more dynamic so you can get good reads. I hope this helped!

    • @mahone_tv
      @mahone_tv  4 роки тому

      @@mousepad505 Yeah unfortunately that's kind of the nature of the dedicated underpass/upper B player. Often the player who's in this spot will go underpass as there are many useful things for him to do there, while at upper B it's usually only to establish presence or maintain upper B control so that his teammates can come back for the B hit later in the round. But I'll keep this in mind for the future, thanks!
