I am, till now , really a bit dissapointed with the gg releases this year i have to admit. (with releases since the end of february in general actually after 2023 started so amazingly) I know they are doing well and thats good for them! I love Sweet Juice by Purple Kiss and i still have faith in Ive's title track tho. But mostly my hope is on Le sserafim and Baby Monster (i have no idea what they will do so i am excited). I think the 4th generation girl groups will certainly be able to break many of the records of the 2nd and 3rd generation girl groups, if some of them haven't already. But still, the 3rd generation, rightfully considered the golden generation, set such a high bar that I think only the 5th generation can achieve some records. In my opinion, now records for album sales can be set by Aespa or IVE, by streaming on spotify NewJeans, records on UA-cam by Itzy or G-Idle. A lot still depends on the fans of the big bands of the 3rd generation. While BTS is in the army or Blackpink is on vacation, who will the army or blinks bet on will receive a big boost on all fronts. Of course, we should not forget also about Babymonster.
