Great question. You will only be able to force one card with this deck. The difference compared to a Svengali deck is you are able to freely show all the cards different and also the spectator can shuffle the cards. I also think this deck is a higher quality card stock and technology than most Svengali decks. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching.
Hoping you still get this? Is this not basically identical to the Mirage deck? I can't seem to see a difference as with the mirage you can always cut to the "card" and show the faces. Does the short and long aspect with this deck make it better for some reason? Just confused. Could you shed some light on the differences that make this a better deck due to the retail price of it versus the mirage. Thanks
Hi Victor, Your question is spot on and the right question. In my honest opinion it is essentially the same deck but a much higher quality. With the Omega deck I have so much more confidence handing the deck to the spectator and not worrying about them noticing how it is gimmicked. I don't have the cards split when in the spectators hands vs with the Mirage deck I find it to be less reliable. Not that the Mirage deck is a bad deck but I find what ever they are using on these cards for the R/S combined with the L/S that it is just a much better quality. I am using the same deck two years later and working great for me. The price point on this deck is high but I personally am willing to pay it because of the quality. I hope that helps and a great question from you. Thanks
Hello Millionaire Master, A great question and is headed in the right direction. The quick answer is yes but that is only part of it. It employs the LS and RS. The combination of those two methods along with the quality of the RS used makes this a really high quality deck in my opinion. I hope that helps some.
Thanks for the review. Can the spectator do an overhand or Hindu shuffle? I know a riffle shuffle will work. But if they do overhand or Hindu shuffle will it still work?
Mike this is a really good question. I have been playing around with the shuffles and I find the Hindu shuffle to be no problem at all but an overhand shuffle not so much. So first of all I don't know that I have a lot to add about the Hindu shuffle other than I found it to work consistently with no mix up of the cards. Of course that is in my hands and not the spectators so it would depend on how well the spectator does their shuffle. On the other hand the overhand shuffle just becomes messy and if the spectator does the overhand shuffle I feel pretty confident the force card will be noticed, especially if they are doing it with the cards face up. At the end of the day while the spectator can hold and shuffle this deck you will always risk to some degree things going wrong and that is something to take into account. I think the more you manage your spectators, give them really good instruction then you will minimize risk. I think if they hand back the deck to you following them mixing the cards up you have better control of the deck and feel for the cards that you will have greater success. This is a deck I really like because of the combination of Sh*** and L*** cards combined with R/S and good quality cards that this deck ticks off a lot of positives for me. With all of that said cards will get bent, R/S will diminish over time and so those are things that you will need to account for. I personally like to keep them in my hands with the exception of the spectator doing the cut. I hope that helps and if any of it needs more clarification just let me know. Thanks and have a great day.
Have you used it live in front of an audience. I think a lot of people would overhand shuffle. Some do riffle shuffle but I bet a lot of people would overhand. Do you think that happens when you perform it?
@@mikeianneo3432 I have not used it in front of a real audience, however next week I have an opportunity to do so and will give it a whirl and run it through its paces and see how folks are managing the cards. I model what I want them to do and then 99% of the time they do a riffle shuffle. It becomes very frustrating for me, the trick still works but I struggle to get them to do an overhand shuffle. I would be curious what your experience is in this type of scenario. Thanks for the questions. I will post here to your comment if I discover anything that helps inform this discussion.
Oh this is an easy one. The Omega Deck. The main reason is the quality and Bicycle Back deck and if brave enough you can have the spectator hold the Omega deck. I'm not sure I would but can be done. Yes that is correct. There is only one force card so you would not want to repeat it with the same group. Hope that helps. I do like this product. It is one that I actually use with frequency. Thanks for asking the question and hope you have a great day.
Great question. In short it is a forcing deck. Meaning there is only one card that can always be chosen by the spectator and you know what that card is. Since this is what the deck can do it is up to you what effect you want to create with that. (I prefer the term effect rather than trick) The most simple effect you can create is obviously knowing which card they picked without seeing the card but based upon your creativity you can do predictions, knowing the exact location of their card in the deck (CAAN), giving the impression that you can control the card to any position in the deck etc. Add copy typically will say your only limited by your imagination. And to some extent that is true with this type of deck. I hope that helps. You can find some of examples of how Max Major (the creator of this specific deck) uses this deck on UA-cam. So, if you have more than two people gathered, you can only do this trick one time with one person. I say this, because the same card is picked every time, yes? Also, what if the person you are asking to pick the card fans out the cards and chooses one that way? In the Max Major video, it shows a spectator fanning out the cards and choosing one in that manner. Thank you in advance for your response.
@@glennschaich8306 this is a really good question. To the first question, you are correct in that I would not repeat the same effect twice because it will always be the same card. With that said I however will often continue to use the deck and create scripting that demonstrates my ability to do card control. I will then cut the deck multiple times, appearing to lose the card in the deck but explain I spend a lot of time tracking cards for gambling purposes and to demonstrate that I cut right to the card. I might then put the card back into the deck, cut multiple times and have the spectator name a number 1 to 52 and deal down the cards to that number to reveal that card. So you can do multiple routines with the same deck before you switch it out for a different deck. For your second question I would not fan the cards face up and have them pick a card showing the face. Always with this deck have them pick the card face down. I hope that helps and if you have any others just let me know. I am happy to help. Have a great day.

I've just gotten into magic now for 2 months and loving learning new things. Also just came across Omega today at my online store and was wondering whether I should buy it. About 2 minutes into your thorough review I was asking myself-- Is this just a $40 Mirage deck?? I already own 2 different $10 Mirage decks. Maybe this is a higher quality type gaffed deck with very similar effect?? Interesting-- and I am so glad I found your channel for future reviews!! Subbed.
Hi David, I am so glad that you found the channel and I hope it is helpful for you. I love the mirage deck and what can be done with it. The Omega Deck does employ the rough and smooth technology of the Mirage deck but also has the addition of Short and Long. I don't know if that makes sense to you yet in your journey of learning magic but if not now it will in time. In ways you could say the Omega deck is a combination Mirage Deck and Svengali Deck. I do think the Omega deck is a really high quality gimmicked deck and will last longer than most mirage and invisible decks. Anyway I hope that is helpful, and thanks so much for watching and subbing. Please ask questions anytime, I want the comments section of my channel to be a great place for magicians of all levels.

Just to be 100% clear. You're saying the spectator can handle and shuffle this deck without discovering anything unusual about the deck....I'm having a hard time believing that part.
There is some risk. If you have a spectator who drops the cards or just does not follow directions very well there is a chance they might notice. I think a lot has to do with how you manage your spectator and provide direction. If you watch in one of Max's demo/trailer you will see a spectator handle the cards and actually drop them but still manage the spectator well enough to get away with it. Here is a link to it ua-cam.com/video/f8gLECgpt4M/v-deo.html With all of that said there is risk and I think that will be up to each performer and how much risk they are willing to take. If you give the spectator the cards you will need to instruct them to spread the cards face up and all the cards will be different. As long as you have a spectator who is a good spectator who can follow directions you will be fine. Okay now I feel like I am rambling a lot and if I had to boil it down I would say: Yes There Is Risk Requires good spectator management. I hope that helps, and I appreciate you asking the question because it is a good and fair question that the buyer needs to know. Thanks for watching and asking.

There is absolutley no way they can shuffle the deck...Ive had to direct the spectators in a completely different way they cant overhand shuffle or riffle shuffle..
Hey Graeson thanks so much for sharing this. I think it is pretty daring to have the spectator shuffle these cards and you do risk it not working out. I must admit that I am in the club of living on the edge of having spectators touch these cards and shuffle them. I find most spectators are terrible with just how to hold cards let alone shuffle them but as time goes on I feel like I am building subtleties on how I instruct my spectator to hold or shuffle cards. With that said there are spectators who just can not follow instructions. Thanks so much for leaving the comment this is really helpful to others checking out this product and that despite add copy and trailers showing us the optimal outcome we should be skeptical and get more info. fiddlinjonny Thank you and have a happy new year as well!
love ur vids and ur good at the violin
Thanks OG I really appreciate that, I am glad you are watching.
Are the decks random?
The cards are currently sold only in Red Bicycle Back and each deck has a forced card. If you order two decks each should have a different force card. I hope that answers your question and if not just holler for clarification, I am happy to help. Thanks for watching and asking a question. I appreciate it.
so its a Svengali deck. Right?
Hi Tim, It is a mix of two different methods. It is Sven and R and S. I hope that helps. For me this deck is a little expensive but I personally will continue to purchase them as the quality is really good and reliable and to make myself would just be too much work and probably not as good quality. I hope that helps some. Let me know if you have any other questions, I am happy to help.
@@fiddlinjonny Thanks!! I really appreciate your feedback and look forward to your future presentations!!
@@fiddlinjonny I have a mirage deck and that’s also cut short/long with rough and smooth. I bought this deck and i literally see no difference unless im missing something ? Except maybe that it’s a lot stickier than mirage and the card that’s shorter is opposite
@@4purs Nope you have nailed it. But my experience is this is the highest quality version of the mirage that I have had but essentially the same.
Stop Fiddling Around and get to the Trick!
Oh CC you know I can't help myself, I like fiddlin around with the magic.😁😄😆🎻
its just a mirage Deck sold in a different box this is madness
Hi Michael, I would maintain that the quality here is significantly better than any Mirage Deck I have ever had and this is my go to compared to a Mirage Deck. With that said I completely understand the sticker shock and if I didn't own the product would probably be leaving the same comment. Thanks so much for being here and watching the review and leaving the comment. I appreciate your perspective and is something for folks considering purchasing to take into consideration.
Here is a link to it ua-cam.com/video/f8gLECgpt4M/v-deo.html
With all of that said there is risk and I think that will be up to each performer and how much risk they are willing to take. If you give the spectator the cards you will need to instruct them to spread the cards face up and all the cards will be different. As long as you have a spectator who is a good spectator who can follow directions you will be fine. Okay now I feel like I am rambling a lot and if I had to boil it down I would say:
Yes There Is Risk
Requires good spectator management.
I hope that helps, and I appreciate you asking the question because it is a good and fair question that the buyer needs to know.
Thanks for watching and asking.
@@fiddlinjonny Watch the Ekaterina review. She gives the deck to her husband who immediately shuffles the cards. He still didn't figure it out and he had the cards in his hands. And he's been with her for over 10 years and saw all her tricks...
Sounds good but too expensive for what it is
Thanks Brad for the comment. The cost here really is the issue with this product. The quality is really good, maybe the best I have tried for the method but for many they will find the cost too prohibitive. I think for the customer that is the issue they will need to weigh when considering this product. I will add that I love these cards and can do multiple effects with absolute confidence. Thanks for watching, I really do appreciate it and hope you will keep watching.
Appreciate this contribution and your viewership.
@@fiddlinjonny You can certainly have the SOME spectators look at the cards, but I look at things as worst case scenaro and risk vs reward. As I said. The way I routine this, They can look at, and mix the cards, I just make sure they understand to do exactly what I say. I def wouldent let them handle the deck 100% freely and say "shuffle these cards"
@@jaytpmc I think that is a really sound approach with this deck and I like the frame you use with the risk vs the reward.
