Car is nipping along nicely - well impressed. Got relatives that used to live in Erdington - recognise some of those roads so really interesting. Wish I could get my son's Minor up and running - maybe next month! Wonder if that rattle is the brace that goes across the bonnet - ours does a similar sound, needs packing between brace and bonnet I think.
Me too..... Down new street / UP corporation street /Stephenson street etc. Went in recently and was surprised at how difficult it was to park anywhere near the centre. Very inaccessible today.
Interesting info about the kilns... I recently learned that two canal basins nearly touched the town hall (broad street side ) long since removed. Brickworks were common in the black country so not surprised. Liking the history/ mechanics and tours of places I liveD in and around as a kid...
Will have to look into that then! As depressing as it can get learning about what we’ve lost in the area, it’s so exciting finding new info and just appreciating the graft and planning that went into all of these huge changes with relatively basic machinery and logistics options. Cheers for the feedback! I hope I continue to bring some interesting bits to your screen!
Hi, great video, I'm in Birmingham , we must do a joint video run in the old cars when the weather picks up ,? I did the Birmingham 1987 video, maybe when l as your age ? Lol, Subscribed !
Hi mate! Absolutely up for a run around when the weather picks up - I’m onto rear brakes this weekend so the car will be ‘safe and ready’ as far as I’m concerned very soon! And I’ll have a look out for this video! The studios app won’t let me go to your channel right now but I’ll have a look through shortly! Thanks again and I really appreciate the sub!!
@@ABrummieWunders Yeah cool, I recently did a 300 mile run and found the rear brakes were non existent, all sorted now, please stay in touch and for sure on the joint video ! please subscribe too , cheers
@@fourwheelswobble subbed now mate, nice one! Oh lord I’m guessing mine are in a similar state right now, the fronts were ripped to pieces when I dropped the shoes off last week… Quite enough improvement just doing those to be fair but I don’t fancy the back locking up too like the front did…was fun though!
I’ve had her at id say around 63 so far - there’s definitely more power there but the play in the steering get very shaky any faster than that, so few more repairs needed before I give it any more stick haha!
It’s definitely on the cards! Will drag it out worcester/stourport/bewdley way as it’s first major ‘trip’ out - few more jobs to do on her before I go too far out…
Great video, more of this kind of thing please!!

I remember when you could drive around the council house, I saw a guy driving a Sinclair C5 around there once upon a time...

Get out onto the countryside in your moggy..

@@ABrummieWunders nice places.. Shropshire nice too.
A wicker picnic hamper would be a nice addition for a country run....
The wire steering wheel looked the best
Big fan too! I’m still surprised at how light and reactive the steering is - rack and pinion was certainly a great choice!
