6:31 He's right. I told my wife that her family has unresolved issues, because they drink and smoke too much. Most of them are educated and doing well, so she doesn't see anything wrong with it. But something's wrong when people constantly need or even want to be under the influence of something.
Big facts my homie drinks everyday and I think it’s a hidden problem
Yeah. It's definitely something there
Black men are tired of being silent.
I'm raising awareness about Men's Mental Health too. This is inspiration for me.
From Johannesburg with love. ❤
I used to stay in Orlando Soweto
When I was 16 and I told my mother I was depressed and not to tell anyone. She told my brother who then cursed my out for being depressed. I nevet trust anyone with my feelings or true thoughts again. I'm 61 and still keep it inside. Our community needs these conversations but, its hard to trust.
It starts within you Mr. Tommies. I'm 46 and started my current Spiritual and Mental Health Healing process two short years ago. Inner healing, acceptance, Forgiveness, and a Positive self image is a daily ritual.
Thank you for your kind words. Bess to you and the Fam.@@St3phenking13
And that sign behind Joc, for me, was a message from the Most High. "If you can read this, you're in range". THANK YOU LADY & MEN FOR THIS CONVERSATION ❤❤❤
This was great. I just told a group of people that so many of our men in their 60’s are not mentally well due to unresolved childhood trauma 😢God just confirm it with this conversation.
Neely fuller jr has great advice for that, “unless it’s constructive then we need to stay away from each other because we’re still have trauma and anger we try to take out on each other”
I heard that too. A very good observation
@@chumps7974 it’s so dead on point right. We can’t even show up on time for each other lol
If you learn to take life 1 day at a time. You will learn how it’s much easier for you. That’s what I’m working towards right now. Stay strong my People
🙏
I love this panel and the healing that's taken place here. Everyone listened without waiting to respond. More please!! Yung Joc's speaking voice needs to be heard more. He should do voice-over work. ❤
Agree ❤I too have depression and it’s more challenging since my son passed. Love and respect to you all ❤I’m 63 and taking one day at a time
Amen.❤❤
I met David when he was homeless and again when he was rich! He is humble!!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
Finally a podcast I watched and felt proud of with my people elevating the conversations. I enjoyed this. Thank you.🙏🏾
"Depression is a luxury" hits different when I was deep in my depression, unemployable, damn near selectively mute, suicidal every moment of every day, in and out of the psych ward, self harming... but yeah I guess I should have sold drugs or something. Wait, tried that too and it wasn’t as lucrative for me as 50 cent. I think I did it wrong. I'm sorry, I'm still working through a lot of trauma and felt a little triggered
Thank you for sharing. That's real.
One thing I've learned is that healing is a journey not a destination. Be kind to yourself. Positive self talk reprograms poor narratives of self.
Sending you so much healing energy brother 🖤
This is good, men need to come together and heal and process.
This was a dope and very powerful conversation. More guys of their caliber really need to share bc our young men need this, real bad!🙏🏾👑
This is good! It’s a great discussion that’s so necessary.
What David Banner said is deep! When we handshaking our peeps, we represent what they could have been (and vice versa).
I think Pity is the soul divider. And when we get caught up the war begins between the spirit and the flesh.
Giving in to our temptations, we dive into the unconscious and IT is there when IT comes to life, and IT wants all it can get and more, and if we don't obey, IT will clap back by shrinking our self esteem more thus opening the floodgates of depressive emotions and more. That IT must be treated with respect and that IT also represents our Desired potential.
The unconscious alone is an example that what we know is limited compared to what we don't know.
I like what Joc said about us being taught to suppress are feeling. We know wolves prey on the weak and vulnerable. You don't want show weaknesses as a survival mechanism.
This was absolutely phenomenal!
Very good information 💯
Black people please learn
Mental health is everything
Pain is real
Pain is not normal
It’s not ok
There is a better way
Seeking health doesn’t mean your weak
You fix your car or house
Fix your mind, body & spirit
Keep God in your life
But let science & medicine help you
There’s always a better way 💯
Love to see the collective come into the understanding of healing, especially men who people tend to look at as leaders. These conversations hold a lot of power. This was just the surface but a great start
Sadness might not be a choice but suffering is.
So glad there is conversation, vulnerability, and Healing taking place. God bless you all. Continue to express and live authentically. You are healing community when you live fully expressed.
When he said "I don't have the luxury of being depressed"... he was saying that people who are depressed are choosing to sit in self pity and darkness, which looks like..not wanting to "get up and go", and wanting to "fight back" not wanting to be a conqueror, and not "facing the world"
It’s sad that you have to explain this
There's something called 'high-functioning depression.'
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE NEED TO EDUCATE THEMSELVES ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH BECAUSE THAT'S NOT THE ONLY WAY DEPRESSION MANIFESTS.
Sometimes if you fight back it gets worse. Im not depressed I just dont have the same interests i used to. I be focused On Jesus
@@a.m.edwards9674Can you explain it please
Necessary conversation. I appreciate ppl coming 2gether and be open and vulnerable on this Topic. Wish a professional in the psychological field was included to answer/add Insight on certain situations. Mental Health is very sensative to many and is about HEALING... how applying tools to handle things better.. hope it doesn't become a new fad for tv. Respect to David Banner.
Blessings 🙌🏾

Love this conversation
He said god blessed him with a bullies body to protect the weak AMEN 🙏🙏🙏 WELL said
Love this. ❤🙏🏽 thank you for sharing this.
David, I appreciate you speaking up and projecting a more vulnerable you. Whereas you use your anger to cover your vulnerability. I covered mine with sex, lies, and gang activities.
I do have to say your opinion of God is NOT the MOST HIGH GOD of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. This need to be said because the BIBLE is the context of that portion and I ain’t letting lies or confusion populate the airwaves.
This podcast is a different kind of dope the intro fire
Ain’t no one a psychologist or psychiatrist in here. Ehh okay, listen lightly but remember the human mind is one of the most complex mysteries of the earth. No one has the answers all in one and you’re not lazy or self loathing bc you’re depressed. It is during those times that rebirths and awakenings are formed. Life is cyclical. There will be highs and there will be lows
This! I'm subscribed to your channel ❤
@@danielneal3465 I appreciate it mama ❤️✨ peace and blessings!
I disagree.
@@latoyasykes1 that’s ok
💯
Empowering dialogue. ✊🏾
money fixes money issues only and usually depression is from other things like trauma, family, death, etc
So getting more money wont resolve that
Brilliant #thankyouall #enjoythejourney #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #weloveyouall 💯💯💯♥️
I had a conversation with someone and told them they don't have the right to anxiety. That's a yt people issue. When you get pulled over, you CANNOT be anxious. You CANNOT hesitate, freeze up or any of the manifestations anxiety brings about.
Only 3 mins into this, and it's helpful
Great conversation
Great conversation 💯
He said thatbecause he is literally a leader. And there there is actual people and families that he is responsible for . If at any time he takes the time to be depressed, someone will lose.
Love it ❤
The answer to ur problems are within! U must go within to understand y u still have problems, y ur still depressed/anxious, y u dealing with trauma etc…. The answer lies within….
This is deep.
Wow. So this what it sounds like.
I deal with my depression by overworking myself and just focusing on doing things that I love to do
It's NOT THE MONEY you can feel and be safe without THE MONEY ❤
The guy with the braids kept interrupting the guy with hat..
Its each one, teach one.
We allow our lazy friends & family to guilt trip us into supporting them, instead of them getting an education or a high paying trade/skills e.g., Electrician, Cyber Security, HVAC, AI, Database, etc…
So real
Powerful!!💪🏿💪🏿
The Gospel that saves: Whoever believes that Jesus Christ who is the Son of God has died on the cross to wipe away ALL your sins, who was buried, & rose from the dead on the 3rd day is saved Forever.
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Looking at Miles’ jeans makes me salty I got rid of all my Levi 501s like 10 years ago lol 👌🏿
7:00 Facts 😂💯
David well said 6:00
Is there a full length interview?
David Banner
dope vid
I would like to ask this room what are the works of God? (The works which build faith in God). Does this room know? If not, it's why these people are troubled and seeking therapy from their woes.
Yes, I am a Hebrew Israelite. A melanated man who follows God's Commandments.
The truth is Jesus is always talking but we refuse to listen or believe.
There’s power in are words there’s life an death blessing and curses with our tongue that’s why the living word tells us to watch what we say
I’m sure a lot of people don’t wanna hear this and I say this at the risk of being dragged but at the end of the day is clear to see there is a disconnect between their relationship with Jesus Christ. And no, I’m not talking about that long haired blue eyed white guy. I’m talking about the real Yahushua HaMashiach!
I got all the answers because I have had and have many problems.
dude said :God dont cost nothin!".....true, but attending modern Church costs a WHOLE LOT
I'm glad young Joc said I can express myself. You were out of your freaking mind wearing a dress, and now I feel cleansed.
And the conversation was always been had, it took your Maturity to Hear not Listen.

And I’m SUBSCRIBED 🤯🫡🤫
You spelled Joc wrong lol
I don't see why Jessie was there. It should've just the men healing together.
Young Joc was Diddys bop
That host must never went to grade school because we learned how to spell Mississippi with a song
Listen b yaw been listening to the other folks to much we don’t need to sit in a circle as men and talk about depression mental health etc it’s like yaw don’t understand that’s for females do we know it’s exist of course but as men we are not suppose to want the world to see certain sides period but when you fall for anything you become anything
I love Jessie Woo but idk why she be the only female in some of these male dominated spaces/podcasts? 🤔
That man completely misunderstood what young joc was saying. YJ was right being able to speak your mind is a luxury. Not all things luxurious come from machismo. As a matter of fact the luxurious life or the soft life is a feminine concept. Can’t get less masculine than talking about your feelings. Dude actually displayed the machismo by interrupting and incorrectly assessing the conversation. He’s got a BIG EGO.
Depression is on the Bible
where yours lol....
This show sound like women talking bout they feelings.
