Since I'm from the North (Sweden to be more precise) I'm gonna tell you the story of nordic gold for those that care. The alloy was invented when we was looking for a new coin, the 10 kr coin. It was the late 80th. It has less/no corrosion and that thx to the aluminum in nordic gold. The alloy is now days allso used in the euro 10, 20 and 50 cents coin. Hope you enjoy some background story for the alloy. ☺

Pretty much everything is used. He doesn’t even do it for monetary gain. He just builds up his massive collection of metal and adds even more every single week. Absolutely awesome.

Wake up. Check UA-cam. Watch bigstackD. ;-) That's a good morning! I'm surprised how much you got out of that slag. I've been throwing it away. Maybe I'll have to change that. I also didn't realize that nordic gold had zinc and tin. What's the difference from aluminum bronze? I guess what I mean is, does the added zinc & tin change the characteristics at all? Change the color, or make it harder or softer?
If I remember correctly, it helps with corrosion resistance. I think that naval brass is fairly similar so you can look into that if you're interested in a wikipedia binge
FarmCraft101 theoretically buddy the zinc probably burns off in the tin is such a small amount it probably doesn’t make much of a difference in Nordic gold would be pretty similar to aluminium bronze. There is a slight different colour that’s for sure. I’ll need to put them side-by-side in the future video to show people, I honestly reckon they would be pretty much similar in their strength and hardness although I don’t have a machine to test that this is just a theory because they Can be extremely difficult to stamp . Quite a few people have said that rapid cooling on ice could be changing it’s molecular structure when it freezes but I honestly don’t know 🤷🏻♂️, I certainly don’t have the smarts that you have matey, all I do is melt shit ,drink beer, edit ,upload ,sleep ,repeat👊🏻😁🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻.
