Tuning in to TJ’s channel and listening to her describe her travel always makes a hectic day at work seem like a perfect time to go on vacation with TJ. LOL 😝😜🤪😜👌🏾👍🏽🤙👍🏻👏🤙🏽👍🏿
That sony camera is perfect for you. I've seen people vlogging with full frame cameras like the Sony A7iii, but once you add in an assortment of lenses it gets so heavy ! I'm so lazy when I travel I can't even be bothered carrying around a selection of lenses - I just use the kit lens (I'm not making youtube videos though, just taking a few snapshots) Good audio is so important. I've seen youtubers go to great efforts to travel to far off locations - eat all sorts of crazy food etc, but they try to record audio in noisy streets or restaurants using the camera's built in mic. I can hardly hear what they are saying. Seriously youtubers, you are putting in so much work, please get your audio sorted.
Skillshare is great! You know whats also great? Cup of Tj course!! Bam 💥😋 - always sharing the best compact gear for travels - i think my right arm is so trained for 3kg weight now w the rode mic, sony camera, joby tripod, 16-35mm 🥵🥵
I wouldn't get it for vlogging myself. It has no inbody image stabilization. I think that is important for vloggers. I've been looking for a new camera myself for travel (not vlogging). I think the A6400 is a good camera overall though.
@@juandenz2008 you can always get the lenses with inbuild stabilization, essentially this is great for vlogging because its compact and less heavier than the A7iii i guess :D - but i would still reserve other camera for brolls
Love the video TJ! It sort of an update on what’s best for vlogging nowadays and some alternative cheaper priced extras too! I’m still using my old canon G7X camera until now and still don’t have any complaints on that apart from ... like you said ... audio... thanks for the update 😘😘😘
ABSOLUTELY agree on the audio. I'm relatively new to international travel so I watch a TON of travel videos and poor audio really sets the pros and amateurs apart... No idea why some of these people are even trying to make a vlog in 100mph winds with their setups. I've seen some otherwise great videos totally ruined by the horrible audio. Headphones/earbuds make it even worse. I've about been deafened a few times...haha I have super small hands so it makes the equipment seem really big... Great, now my wife with very small hands knows my little secret...😂 I can't wait to see you back in Asia. Take care and safe travels! 👍✌
With all that equipment on the Joey telepod. Is that stable enough? Do you think it’s stable enough for an iPhone 11 pro max? Also, is it compact enough it’ll fit in a medium size purse?
Sweet setup! Thanks for the video. I'm getting myself the A7III which is bigger, but coming from full frame photography (which I want to carry on) it's too difficult to go back to smaller sensors. I'm just gonna have to muscle up 💪 and probably see how good my guesswork is without a monitor!
Hello TJ! I love your video so much. I have a question. When you are travelimg which laptop and editing program do you use? And Do you think 4K is required cause 4K requires high quality of laptop.
Thanks so much for your equipment videos. I'm a teacher and need to do online lessons for the rest of the school year because of COVID-19. I thought, might as well try to get into Vlogs as well to post an online lesson series. Sub'd!
Awesome insight and we love how compact everything is. Thanks for sharing, TJ! One more question is what kind of bag are you using to keep all this? Just a normal backpack or do you have a special bag where everything fits seamlessly? Any recs?
Hii!! I use the lowepro freelance bag! It lets me attach a tripod on the side too! Before I used the incase dslr bag but it's a bit too big on me and the compartments are too floppy inside hahahah
What I do to sync audio is snap my fingers a few times. This gives a nice spike in the audio that's easy to sync. If it's off its so little it's hard to notice
This was a great video! My problem is; when I'm at a food market by myself and there is no seats or tables and I need 2 hands to eat and I can't vlog.... its a conundrum! D: D: D:
Sony A6400 just dropped for $900. Not really an upgrade over your A6500, it has a flip screen, but you lose the IBIS. 😕 You are in NYC, so maybe you can do a promo deal/sponsorship to do a review with either B&H or Adorama? Rumored A7000 should be real upgrade.
Hi TJ I mentioned you in my instastory I found you cuz I love Taiwanese beef noodle soup and I love sesame noodles also. I have a mutual friend with Raina 😊
Hi, I am looking for someone to set up my small video setup for vlogging . I am looking for to stream live through my you tube channel. I am not sure about the accessories and support for setting that up. Can you suggest whether you can undertake the services and I can pay the cost for your services or can you suggest any one who can do this in qatar?
I also have a Sony alpha, and use the 35mm and 10-18 for my photography. Absolutely LOVE those lenses.

Amazing video, love the style!

Love my A6500. That is my travel camera when I was in Japan. I am wondering if you went with the A6600?
