  • TYM T264 Tractor Demo has ended. We ran it hard for 30 hours and could not be more impressed. The price, size, weight, lift capacities, warranty and characteristics are the best on the market. It compares to the Kubota's LX open station tractor very well at a better price point.
    However, it is gone. We bought a new tractor for the channel! Watch to see!

    I can confirm the axle and steering linkage girth, in comparison to the LS and the Solis sitting beside it in the sales yard here. They remind me of kioti, which makes sense since they're both South Korean..

      The Backhoe has a frame that attaches behind the front wheels puts a lot of weight down low. With out backhoe on it feels like a over powered lawn tractor ,loader needs a counterweight of some kind . Loader and Backhoe together is long hard to maneuver in tight spots but very well balanced and very powerful.

    On the T264, do you wish you had a 3 speed instead of the 2 speed for the HST? Meaning do you go back and forth with the 2 speed when a 3 speed would keep you more in the middle speed. If that makes sense.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому +1

      Not really. TYM got the gear ratio right on this tractor. Low is fast enough and High is strong enough. I hardly ever take it out of low because of its wide range. I only use high when I am going long distance. There are a couple other brands that missed the gear ratio mark with the two range.

    I really appreciate your detailed videos on the T264. I own one, i love it, after 14 hours, the Hydro fluid went slightly low (Grumbles at me when cold, when running, fluid is just below the low line, when cold and sitting, level is just at the upper line). Is that normal? Did you happen to know what fluid is in it? VG46? VG68? what hydro fluid would you recommend for it? Thanks! Again Great videos!
    I didnt know about the front end loader bucket rating not at the pin, very cool! So i picked up the manual for a read... TX2000 loader manual says 2059lbs breakout force ground level pivot pin, 1380 lbs lift capacity to max height at pivot pin.

      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому

      I use a good premium universal tractor hydraulic fluid. The one at NAPA or Tractor Supply has worked well for me.
      I check my fluid engine off, everything down. All T264 make valve noise at start up. I have not heard of one failing yet. I think ten years from now, we will still be hearing that. It is just purging air I think.

      This has dual hydraulic pumps and there is no comparison to the MT125. The T264 I just a bigger heavier Tractor setting in a smaller footprint. Both have good build quality. I was torn between the mid mount mower and the rear mower. This is just a better fit for me. I can always added later if I want.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure

      Tym is one of the largest tractor manufacturers in the world. They make tractors for many other brands such as Mahindra, Rural King RK traxtors, Bad Boy, McCormick, Zetor, and other brands. They own Kukje Manufacturing which works with Cummings engine. They own the controlling shares of Branson Tractor.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому +1

      They have a massive parts warehouse in the US now. My dealer said, he gets parts in a day or two. I find TYM builds a simple well thought out tractor. TYM also builds tractors for other companies and supplies parts for other companies. I heard about 5 years ago, they had to ship parts from Korea, but now they are one of the best.

    Another question for you Tony.
    A Branson/McCormick dealer told me the T264 has an aluminum transmission.
    Do you know if there is any truth to that. I know I’ve heard tractors dealers will say that about a competitors tractor to get the sale. Mine finally gets delivered TOMORROW! 😁

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 роки тому

      Cast iron. The irony of that is TYM owns Branson and makes tractors for McCormick. Kubota and Massey Ferguson use aluminum transmission in someof their tractos. Nothing wrong with it if it works.

    • @cha-ka8671
      @cha-ka8671 3 роки тому +2

      @@TonysTractorAdventure
      Thank you for that. I did read somewhere that TYM owns Branson and makes tractors for McCormick. I wasn’t sure if what I was reading was still the case. But, you just reassured what I read.
      I don’t know why he would have said that to me considering everything else about the salesman was very honest. I guess he either was misinformed by someone else or thought that would be a last ditch effort to sell me a tractor.
      I didn’t know that about Kubota or Massey.
      I agree if it works it shouldn’t be an issue but, I’d go for cast iron or steel before aluminum any day. Heat treated would even be better IMO.
      I can’t wait for my tractor to show today! You know how exciting a new toy is. Especially such a good looking tractor.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 роки тому

      I bet you didn't sleep last night. 😁 Stories get passed around as selling points. My favorite one is the hood thing. Metal or composite. One camp is for metal. One camp is for composite. It is a hood! There are benefits and drawbacks to each, but nothing that would sway my decision on a tractor buy.

    Hi Tony. I'd been looking really hard at one of the MT 240 HE units with a backhoe mostly because of watching how capable it was for you. Did you wind up with issues with the LS? I'm sure the TYM is a great tractor, but I'm curious as to why you dumped the blue units?
