- This is an (almost) full concert of the Legendary, King of Surf Guitar - Dick Dale! There was a few camera glitches, so I didn't catch all of every song, but this video truly captures the greatest of the legendary Dick Dale. There are some truly remarkable and funny moments during this incredible show. This concert also features his 20 year old, powerhouse son - Jimmy Dale on drums and the sensational Sam Bolle on bass.

I used to dance at Harmony Park aged 13, 14, 15 with Dick playing. And then worked in Back to the Beach w/ him..I LOVED HIM

I bought his 45 "Lets Go tripping" in the early 60s, I was just a kid, and bought many of his Surf albums after that, always loved DD Surf music, glad to see he is still at it. Has he written an auto-biography yet? If he hasnt he sure should, what a life, DD is the real deal! :)

Dick Dale is the greatest guitar player of all time. Leo Fender (Inventor of Fender Guitars) was amazed by his talent and so was greats like Stevie Ray Vaughn. God Bless Dick Dale!

Just saw this amazing human being and his amazing band at the Iron Horse here in Northampton MA on Monday (8/5/14). Guy is the mack daddy! The sound of this band in person is HUGE!! My ears still hurt, which never happens to me after a show even when I'm a foot from a double-stack at a noise show...
We're gonna see him Aug. 1st. in Asbury Park. Can't wait.

DICK DALE "King of the Surf Guitar" alongside legendary bluesman Stevie Ray Vaughan! Epic duo. In my Rock 50's Shows, I play this version of the song "Pipeline" while playing a cabassa. A cabassa's a wooden hand-held instrument with a metal base attached to it, upon which several strands of metal beads are placed for cool sound effects. It's just one of many percussion instruments I play during my Hawaiian Luaus & Rock 50's shows., but not for my Belly Dance shows. I only play the Egyptian tambourine, finger cymbals aka zills, and a Doumbek drum for that.
