This is my favorite mod ive ever seen! Of all the versions of Sonic out there, the comic version was always my favorite, and this is a childhood dream! I hope one day we get a game completely in this art style
It’s quite amazing that a mod like this is possible. This is just the tip of the iceberg of how insane Frontiers mods can be, and it’s by far my favorite mod for Frontiers! Also, love that it’s compatible with the Soap Shoes so you can have both Adventure Sonics in the game!
@@SpinKreator Would seem hard to translate a full 3D, animated mouth into the iconic artstyle, so I don't blame the lack of them and instead just using 2D mouth textures.

😢This is honestly the best I've ever seen Sonic look. Real talk. If we ever do get SA1 & 2 remakes and SA3, this is what he needs to look like. That includes the other characters, as well. No ifs, ands, or buts. 😤

Wow!! This and the Junio mod have gotta be to two coolest Sonic model changes! I espesially love the cell shaded style, something I wish Sega themselves would persue.
This Uekawa cel-shaded style Sonic fan mod similar to the Sonic Shuffle intro CGI cutscene character models and want Uekawa cel-shaded style fan mod of the other Sonic characters too. This Uekawa Sonic cel-shaded style fan mod is now my best favorite Sonic mode, I wish some of the other 3D Modern Sonic games were cel-shaded or want the upcoming new 3D Modern Sonic games to be cel-shaded which would both suited well and look more like anime-esque style for both the 3D Modern Sonic games and Sonic characters. Why are only Sonic Shuffle, Sonic Runners and when Tails, Amy and Knuckles were digitized in Sonic Frontiers cel-shaded, is it because the SEGA and Sonic Team company doesn't have high budget enough or does it take longer to make cel-shaded graphic for some of the other 3D Modern Sonic games as well?

Failure or success, they would not be successful just by changing their tone, it's artificial, stupid and unfitting Sonic) - Sonic being between life and death because of a flame an evil genie shot on him (while Shahra was the original victim), Shahra sacrificed herself for him, Sonic turning into a monstrous version of himself because of his sadness and hatred for Erazor having killed Shahra. (Sonic and the Secret Rings) - literally the entire opening cutscene of Unleashed where Sonic suffers as hell and is turned into a werehog by force, at the point where Sonic is reserveed during the entire game, he almost loses confidence in himself when he sees the creature which turned him into a werehog with its energy and it's Chip who saves him. (Sonic Unleashed) - Gawain and Perceval try to kill themselves, Sonic is literally beaten to death by Merlina and learns her she needs to live her life until the end (Sonic and the Black Knight) - an ancient alien civilization whose planet was destroyed by a faceless entity whose shape changes depending on everyone's point of view, forcing them to flee to Earth bringing them with them, creating a digital dimension to keep their memories and 4 giant robots to battle the faceless entity that followed them and this led to the death of 1 of the 4 pilots of the robots to seal the entity into cyberspace. This same entity pushed Sonic to agonize with a artificial energy to save his friends and finally kills him until his friends decide to return to their original places to save Sonic. And finally, Sage who tried to kill Sonic, finally sacrificed herself to save the entire universe. (Sonic Frontiers) Sorry, but a series with those kind of events is nothing but cartoony. it fulfills more criteria of shōnen/seinen than cartoony. In fact, it doesn't fill any of cartoony ones. Don't make me laugh. The only real cartoony version of Sonic is Sonic Boom which is an independent series, and the Meta Era which waw written by 2 guys unaware of Sonic's lore (only the Japanese versions of those games removed that). Sonic, cartoony? Not even close.
No need to change it, the original is good, the Hedgehog Engine 2 model has been improved in Frontiers and Sonic's expressions are way better worked. Also this mod looks like Telltale games which are ugly for the most. Incorporate drawn 2D in 3D is weird.
I'd love to see an unofficial (Or possibly official) Sonic game where all the characters have an outline similar to SA and SA2, Just like this!
