About YEDAM not being a leader I think you really need to consider that it's not about the skills but the LEADERSHIP. We've seen how HYUNSUK lead his team during the 5v5 switch up in T-BOX and also JIHOON leading Treasure B and actually leads them to a good performance later on. HYUNSUK and JIHOON as leaders really brings so much in the group, not just in performances, music, but also their group dynamics, bond, and overall mental health. They always keep them in check. I think also most of the groups chooses their leaders in terms of age, that also played a part.

Yoshi and Asahi are great blessing to this group to be honest. They can produce great music, they have the talent and they have the visuals. YG hits the jackpot by bringing back these two gems.

They balance each other, and since ygbt we can see jihoon power as a leader and hyunsuk is naturally good at it too. Yedam is good at singing and smart yes, but I don't think he would have been able to maintain 10 people, not about only practice but also guide the group, and be there for them
I cannot remember where I saw it but I remember that Jihoon said that life outside of YG is harder compared to when he was training under YG (he went to be a trainee in a different entertainment company). So he is grateful for the second chance to come back under YG and wants to debut under YG Entertainment. I think he was very determined to debut with YG hence why he improved a lot to make it happened.
Introverts aren't anti-socials. They express themselves if they're comfortable with the people around them. But the social battery easily gets drained and needs to recharge by being silent or distant.

The two characters you like, Romi is Jihoon's character and Yochi is Yoshi's character. 08:11 Junghwan and Jaehyuk being there was part of the controversy. Fans, especially silver boys fans (Silver boys is a fan-made trainee group consist of the Team A (as seen in Treasure Box ep 1-2) + Jihoon + Raesung (Quit being a trainee way before Treasure Box and become one of YG producer under the name Millenium) + Noa (Left YG way before Treasure Box and now he's a Japan solo artist) wanted the remaining silver boys members to be there instead of the two. And the second group wasn't announced because of the controversy itself, but more like YG think it's such a waste to throw away some talented members like Yoonbin, Mashiho, Doyoung, and Jihoon. The controversy continued even after MAGNUM was announced. Because again, Sunghoon and Byounggon (two of the remaining silver boys members) weren't there. I believed Asahi was brought back to join MAGNUM because of his talent in producing songs/music, because like every other YG boy group (BB, Winner, iKon) YG want their group to be able to have songs they produced themselves. As you can see, Treasure 7 has Yedam, Junkyu, and Hyunsuk to be Treasure 7's producer line, and Asahi and Yoonbin going to be Magnum's producer line. As for Yoshi, YG needs another rapper to be there in Magnum, and Yoshi has undeniable potential although his screen time in Treasure Box didn't give his skill a justice. His potential as a star can be seen on the side content of UA-cam's Treasure Box, which is in Vlive app. I was one of those silver boys fans who disagree with Treasure 7 and Magnum lineup back then, but now I can see each Treasure members play a significant role in the group and couldn't imagine the otherwise. Treasure Box last aired on January 2019, and right after it ended, The Burning Sun scandal started on January, 28th 2019 which involved Bigbang's Seungri. And then while The Burning Sun scandal is still on going, in June 2019, drug scandal hit B.I. The two scandals affected YG really really bad. Seungri left Bigbang and B.I left iKon. YG's stock value went down the drain, and Yang Hyun Suk stepped down from his position in YG.

Honestly looking how treasure now I don't want to change or switch up any member if I were to go back. Seeing their great improvements I was like " woah imagine how hard they practice to be this good. " It's because of their good attitude that makes them deserving of their spot.They are true artist that always work hard to improve.

Even though they're shy, they change completely when they're on stage. A great example is Taemin. He's been in the industry almost 17 years now and he's still really quiet and shy around strangers. He only feels comfortable with his group members and a few other idols from the same company. Same thing goes for Treasure members. The shy ones are actually the craziest in the group. My honest opinion about treasure: most of the treasure weren't that great of vocalist/singer during their rookie years but seeing them grow so much .They improved a lot especially in vocal area..what i see that usually other idols /idol group dont put efforts in their vocal..but treasure is really that group that really worked hard and became a well accomplished vocalist...even the main dancers singing skill are really crazy. Most crazy is park jihoon who thought he will improve a lot that he can even easily get the main vocalist position..

If you haven't seen Shining Solo, the reality show on Viki with Treasure you've GOT to see it. It was made this year and shows how VERY introverted some of the members are. It's called a dating show, but it isn't really. It's more like them being put in a house all day until midnight with 4-6 women their ages and trying to deal with it. As Hyunsuk put it, "other than my family and staff, I've never met women". At the end of the day, the women gave a jewel to the one they though showed the most charm, then at the end of 5 days they had the final vote. The guys went in 2 groups of 5 and it was a great show. I've probably watched it at least 30 times. Asahi is only 3% extrovert, but when that 3% comes out, WATCH OUT!!!
FINALLY!!!!!😅 MAKNAE - means YOUNGEST HYUNG - means older brother. JUNGHWAN fave word is Hyung since he is the youngest, he calls everyone Hyung. And JUNGHWAN (the Maknae) is the one who compete one on one with Hyunsuk in Dance and he won. Asahi is super introvert but his extrovert side comes out when he is in his comfortable environment. Asahi worked hard with this and as of latest he said he improved and is only 88% introverted from 97%. He becomes very shy and quite when he is around unfamiliar people but he is very talkative with his closest. Asahi was chosen (I believe) since he was actually good at singing and a very good composer/lyricist/producer. He just needs to work on his facial expression which he done so well. YG liked those who can write and produce. FUN FACT: ASAHI is the very first member whose song was released as part of their album. The song title is ORANGE. He compose this alone and co-wrote lyrics with Haruto. It's one of Treasure Best BSide song. Asahi actually is very chaotic and is very funny, effortlessly funny. Haruto is actually a very good dancer. Haruto competed when he was young Popping and won 1st place. Hyunsuk and Jihoon besides being the Leaders are like parents to the other members. Hyunsuk is more like a mother bcoz of his warm and calm approach, while Jihoon is like a Father who is strict and direct to the point approach. When the members wants someone to listen to them and tell their worries they would go to Hyunsuk but when they want solution to their problem they would go to Jihoon. Hyunsuk and Jihoon take this role seriously😂 From this guide up to now the members had grown up and had so many changes like their voices, they so young back then and went through puberty that's why a lot of physical changes happens. But they got better and better. I think they become more comfortable and confident in performing which is shown in tbeir performances. The tallest member is Haruto followed by Junghwan then Jeongwoo. So, it's going to be long comments lol Yedam not being a leader in my opinion is because: 1. Treasure is a 12 members group. 12 heads, 12 personalities, and 12 more chaotic. And Hyunsuk and Jihoon being the oldest in the group, it's easier for the other 10 members to listen and follow what the oldest said when there's any dispute or disagreement occurred within the group. It's just a culture in Korea and it's in their nature to respect someone older than you even if the person is only one year or a couple months older than you. There will be no hard feelings when Hyunsuk or Jihoon scold them when they make mistakes because that's what older brother supposed to do; scold you and remind you when you make mistakes, guide and embrace you when you're having hard times, and take the burden off your shoulder when you have to make hard decisions. 2. Even before Treasure debut, YG already have plan to push Yedam's solo career because that's what Yang Hyun Suk promised him when he joined YG after K-pop Star. And YG did released Yedam's solo song out first before the group debut. So imagine how overwhelming it's going to be for Yedam if he had to be the head of the group and at the same time preparing for his own solo career journey. One can't shoulder too many responsibilities at a time unless you want to see disaster. 😂 3. History wise, it's always the rapper who YG appointed as leader of the group. GD for Bigbang, CL for 2NE1, Chanhyuk for AKMU (ok this one also because Chanhyuk is the older sibling), it was Mino first for Team A (Winner) before Yoon took over the leader position, and then B.I and replaced by Bobby for iKon. So, rapper Hyunsuk as a leader can already be expected. As for Jihoon, that man has no-nonsense attitude and no filter whatsoever, so the kids better listen to what he says or else... 🤣🤣

Hyunsuk (called Suky by Jihoon) comes from a family that has been in choir, he actually started as a singer but later on changed to rap, so he can also sing. Yoshi also can sing and Haruto is also interested in singing. You can see their cover of BigBang “last dance” you will love it. Jihoon (called Hunni or Hun by teumies) is the hard-working type; he gradually became better. I think that YG saw a leader in him (hard working, straight forward and strong personality type) He does a lot of lives in wavers and often show his mature and wise thinking, he is a down to earth and caring person. Yoshinori (officially debuted as Yoshi), love the songs he has compose, “Beautiful” is a Japanese song he helped compose for an anime, “Stupid” is another of his songs. Junkyu (Kyu for teumies) has compose “Move” for sub unit T5 and most of the b sides in “Reboot” album. I need Junkyu to debut solo with his all compose self-compose songs. For Jaehyuk (some teumies call him Jae Jae and Junky calls him Jaemon) feel he is like the glue of Treasure, his kindness and love for the members and his passion to be an artist makes him want this pat with his members even more. He has grown so much; I love his performance in “Move” hi just kill it. Asahi (called Sahi by members), gush, the growth he had, he has improved his facial expressions, but with that stoic, good looking and boemic vibe it makes him appealing. He also has composed several songs, “Orangi” and “Thank you” unit with Haruto, the live for this song is just OMG, it makes you understand why he is part of Treasure. And dancing wise he has improved so much. Bang Yedam (called Yedami by members), gush I miss him so much with Treasure, but I respect his decision for leaving. Recently he said that whenever he heard others talking about Treasure, people called Treasure “Yedams group”, so I’m assuming this was one of the reasons he left. Yedam loves his members, and you can see how he wanted the rest of the vocals members to also stand out; but they were overshadowing by him. Treasure also is/was gatekept by YG and you could see that Yedam wanted to make mor music, he saw the opportunity to go solo, so he took it. Doyoung (called Dobby by members and teumies) dancing is just beautiful, Hyunsuk has the swag, Jihoon has power dancing, Mashi the flow in his dance and Doyoung interprets so well. He is such a lovely person, by the way he is an extrover, along with Hyunsuk, Jihoon and Mashio, the rest of the members are introvert. Love his voice, I want him to have more parts on each song. Oh, and he was the maknae of the group A, so you can see Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Junkyu and Yedam treating him sometimes like the youngest. Also, the youngest members can be really effusive and in awe towards him. Haruto (called Ruto by members) like Jihoon have a straight forward personality, says what he thinks with no filters lol. Oh, and he is called the spoiler king, from all the members he is the one to spoil comebacks with no shame hahaha. He is trying to make his rapping pitch higher, but I love his deep voice. I totally want to see him as an actor. And I want him and Jeongwoo to have an official unit. He recently uploaded a cover in wavers, he doesn't care if YG gives him permission or not to upload (Ruto is wild lol) Jeongwoo (called Woo by members and teumies) when Yedam left, his growth went sky rocking, he grew so much, and started to be more confident in himself. Make sure to watch his covers for “life is worth”, “Betelgeuse” and “Always”. Junghwan our super king cow baby (nickname given by treasure members) the youngest. Has grow so much, he had a glowup in the last couple of years, you wouldn't recognize him now. He is now one of the strongest members along with Jihoon, his dancing has gotten better (he is the expressive powerful type) and he is starting to find a singing style. And this year he became legally and adult, so now all Treasure members are adults and graduated high school. So, this is going to be an essay (lol) reason why I´m dividing this in two comments... it is a long video and I tried to answer most of your questions. For the members that came after, I think they were chosen depending on their abilities. Yoshi and Asahi are composers, they have visual, Yoshi is a good rapper (if it wasn’t for Yoonbin he could have given a stronger impression) and Asahi has a unique voice. Regarding the other two members of "them A", I think the moment they were let go by YG they were scouted by their current company. Yao was a little too much in my opinion, he often went off bit because of his emotions. One of the reasons he created another group was because of Mashiho, people started complaining that he was most of the time a Treasure member in treasure box and he wasn’t in the main group. All their content and music are just so good, even their B sides. Roomi is Jihoon character and Yochi is Yoshi’s character; each member created their own character. Things got so bad at YG ent. That Yang Hyunsuk had to leave as the main directed and producer because of the scandals. He just recently came back as producer. So in Corea "Hyung” (older brother) is how a younger man calls an older acquaintance that he is close to. For girls it is “Uni”. Guys call older female friends “Nona” and girls call older male friends “Oppa”. They do have the respect and “have to listen and do” what his elders say but some artist/friends tend to be “touchier” (in a physical way) and mellow (reason why “shipping” [that they are a “couple” or brotherly love]) exist. But Treasure in particular have stated that they are quite a touchy and flirty group. Shows how close they are with each other.

It's under Axis Entertainment, a company owned by a former YG creative director. Former YG trainees who debuted to another companies end up being leaders or the main vocalist/rapper/dancer. Even though I can't approve some of YGE's decisions sometimes, I still believe they have the best training system.

Fans, especially silver boys fans (Silver boys is a fan-made trainee group consist of the Team A (as seen in Treasure Box ep 1-2) + Jihoon + Raesung (Quit being a trainee way before Treasure Box and become one of YG producer under the name Millenium) + Noa (Left YG way before Treasure Box and now he's a Japan solo artist) wanted the remaining silver boys members to be there instead of the two. And the second group wasn't announced because of the controversy itself, but more like YG think it's such a waste to throw away some talented members like Yoonbin, Mashiho, Doyoung, and Jihoon. The controversy continued even after MAGNUM was announced. Because again, Sunghoon and Byounggon (two of the remaining silver boys members) weren't there.
I believed Asahi was brought back to join MAGNUM because of his talent in producing songs/music, because like every other YG boy group (BB, Winner, iKon) YG want their group to be able to have songs they produced themselves. As you can see, Treasure 7 has Yedam, Junkyu, and Hyunsuk to be Treasure 7's producer line, and Asahi and Yoonbin going to be Magnum's producer line. I'm not saying the rest of the members don't have producing skills, because they do (proved later on), but at that time, the noticeable producing skills came from those I mentioned. As for Yoshi, YG needs another rapper to be there in Magnum, and Yoshi has undeniable potential although his screen time in Treasure Box didn't give his skill a justice. His potential as a star can be seen on the side content of UA-cam's Treasure Box, which is in Vlive app.
I was one of those silver boys fans who disagree with Treasure 7 and Magnum lineup back then, but now I can see each Treasure members play a significant role in the group and couldn't imagine the otherwise. Once again I have to admit "Damn YG, you're right." lol

Treasure Box last aired on January 2019, and right after it ended, The Burning Sun scandal started on January, 28th 2019 which involved Bigbang's Seungri. And then while The Burning Sun scandal is still on going, in June 2019, drug scandal hit B.I. The two scandals affected YG really really bad. Seungri left Bigbang and B.I left iKon. YG's stock value went down the drain, and Yang Hyun Suk stepped down from his position in YG.
He's been through a lot... and for me Hyunsuk was the most deserving to debut. And today, all of us can see why

Honestly looking how treasure now I don't want to change or switch up any member if I were to go back. Seeing their great improvements I was like " woah imagine how hard they practice to be this good. " It's because of their good attitude that makes them deserving of their spot.They are true artist that always work hard to improve.

1:06:28 There are lots of idols who are introverted. 7 out of the 10 members in Treasure, are introverts. I think being introverted is pretty normal for artists. Even though they're shy, they change completely when they're on stage. A great example is Taemin. He's been in the industry almost 17 years now and he's still really quiet and shy around strangers. He only feels comfortable with his group members and a few other idols from the same company.
Same thing goes for Treasure members. The shy ones are actually the craziest in the group. You'll see that on Treasure Map. I hope you watch it soon.

My honest opinion about treasure: most of the treasure weren't that great of vocalist/singer during their rookie years but seeing them grow so much .They improved a lot especially in vocal area..what i see that usually other idols /idol group dont put efforts in their vocal..but treasure is really that group that really worked hard and became a well accomplished vocalist...even the main dancers singing skill are really crazy. Most crazy is park jihoon who thought he will improve a lot that he can even easily get the main vocalist position..

If you haven't seen Shining Solo, the reality show on Viki with Treasure you've GOT to see it. It was made this year and shows how VERY introverted some of the members are. It's called a dating show, but it isn't really. It's more like them being put in a house all day until midnight with 4-6 women their ages and trying to deal with it. As Hyunsuk put it, "other than my family and staff, I've never met women". At the end of the day, the women gave a jewel to the one they though showed the most charm, then at the end of 5 days they had the final vote. The guys went in 2 groups of 5 and it was a great show. I've probably watched it at least 30 times. Asahi is only 3% extrovert, but when that 3% comes out, WATCH OUT!!!

HYUNG - means older brother. JUNGHWAN fave word is Hyung since he is the youngest, he calls everyone Hyung. And JUNGHWAN (the Maknae) is the one who compete one on one with Hyunsuk in Dance and he won.
Asahi is super introvert but his extrovert side comes out when he is in his comfortable environment. Asahi worked hard with this and as of latest he said he improved and is only 88% introverted from 97%. He becomes very shy and quite when he is around unfamiliar people but he is very talkative with his closest. Asahi was chosen (I believe) since he was actually good at singing and a very good composer/lyricist/producer. He just needs to work on his facial expression which he done so well. YG liked those who can write and produce. FUN FACT: ASAHI is the very first member whose song was released as part of their album. The song title is ORANGE. He compose this alone and co-wrote lyrics with Haruto. It's one of Treasure Best BSide song. Asahi actually is very chaotic and is very funny, effortlessly funny.
Haruto is actually a very good dancer. Haruto competed when he was young Popping and won 1st place.
Hyunsuk and Jihoon besides being the Leaders are like parents to the other members. Hyunsuk is more like a mother bcoz of his warm and calm approach, while Jihoon is like a Father who is strict and direct to the point approach. When the members wants someone to listen to them and tell their worries they would go to Hyunsuk but when they want solution to their problem they would go to Jihoon. Hyunsuk and Jihoon take this role seriously😂
From this guide up to now the members had grown up and had so many changes like their voices, they so young back then and went through puberty that's why a lot of physical changes happens. But they got better and better. I think they become more comfortable and confident in performing which is shown in tbeir performances.
The tallest member is Haruto followed by Junghwan then Jeongwoo. These three are Treasures GIANT BABIES.

Yedam not being a leader in my opinion is because:
1. Treasure is a 12 members group. 12 heads, 12 personalities, and 12 more chaotic. And Hyunsuk and Jihoon being the oldest in the group, it's easier for the other 10 members to listen and follow what the oldest said when there's any dispute or disagreement occurred within the group. It's just a culture in Korea and it's in their nature to respect someone older than you even if the person is only one year or a couple months older than you. There will be no hard feelings when Hyunsuk or Jihoon scold them when they make mistakes because that's what older brother supposed to do; scold you and remind you when you make mistakes, guide and embrace you when you're having hard times, and take the burden off your shoulder when you have to make hard decisions.
2. Even before Treasure debut, YG already have plan to push Yedam's solo career because that's what Yang Hyun Suk promised him when he joined YG after K-pop Star. And YG did released Yedam's solo song out first before the group debut. So imagine how overwhelming it's going to be for Yedam if he had to be the head of the group and at the same time preparing for his own solo career journey. One can't shoulder too many responsibilities at a time unless you want to see disaster. 😂
3. History wise, it's always the rapper who YG appointed as leader of the group. GD for Bigbang, CL for 2NE1, Chanhyuk for AKMU (ok this one also because Chanhyuk is the older sibling), it was Mino first for Team A (Winner) before Yoon took over the leader position, and then B.I and replaced by Bobby for iKon. So, rapper Hyunsuk as a leader can already be expected. As for Jihoon, that man has no-nonsense attitude and no filter whatsoever, so the kids better listen to what he says or else... 🤣🤣

Hyunsuk (called Suky by Jihoon) comes from a family that has been in choir, he actually started as a singer but later on changed to rap, so he can also sing. Yoshi also can sing and Haruto is also interested in singing. You can see their cover of BigBang “last dance” you will love it.
Jihoon (called Hunni or Hun by teumies) is the hard-working type; he gradually became better. I think that YG saw a leader in him (hard working, straight forward and strong personality type) He does a lot of lives in wavers and often show his mature and wise thinking, he is a down to earth and caring person.
Yoshinori (officially debuted as Yoshi), love the songs he has compose, “Beautiful” is a Japanese song he helped compose for an anime, “Stupid” is another of his songs.
Junkyu (Kyu for teumies) has compose “Move” for sub unit T5 and most of the b sides in “Reboot” album. I need Junkyu to debut solo with his all compose self-compose songs.
For Jaehyuk (some teumies call him Jae Jae and Junky calls him Jaemon) feel he is like the glue of Treasure, his kindness and love for the members and his passion to be an artist makes him want this pat with his members even more. He has grown so much; I love his performance in “Move” hi just kill it.
Asahi (called Sahi by members), gush, the growth he had, he has improved his facial expressions, but with that stoic, good looking and boemic vibe it makes him appealing. He also has composed several songs, “Orangi” and “Thank you” unit with Haruto, the live for this song is just OMG, it makes you understand why he is part of Treasure. And dancing wise he has improved so much.
Bang Yedam (called Yedami by members), gush I miss him so much with Treasure, but I respect his decision for leaving. Recently he said that whenever he heard others talking about Treasure, people called Treasure “Yedams group”, so I’m assuming this was one of the reasons he left. Yedam loves his members, and you can see how he wanted the rest of the vocals members to also stand out; but they were overshadowing by him. Treasure also is/was gatekept by YG and you could see that Yedam wanted to make mor music, he saw the opportunity to go solo, so he took it.
Doyoung (called Dobby by members and teumies) dancing is just beautiful, Hyunsuk has the swag, Jihoon has power dancing, Mashi the flow in his dance and Doyoung interprets so well. He is such a lovely person, by the way he is an extrover, along with Hyunsuk, Jihoon and Mashio, the rest of the members are introvert. Love his voice, I want him to have more parts on each song. Oh, and he was the maknae of the group A, so you can see Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Junkyu and Yedam treating him sometimes like the youngest. Also, the youngest members can be really effusive and in awe towards him.
Haruto (called Ruto by members) like Jihoon have a straight forward personality, says what he thinks with no filters lol. Oh, and he is called the spoiler king, from all the members he is the one to spoil comebacks with no shame hahaha. He is trying to make his rapping pitch higher, but I love his deep voice. I totally want to see him as an actor. And I want him and Jeongwoo to have an official unit. He recently uploaded a cover in wavers, he doesn't care if YG gives him permission or not to upload (Ruto is wild lol)
Jeongwoo (called Woo by members and teumies) when Yedam left, his growth went sky rocking, he grew so much, and started to be more confident in himself. Make sure to watch his covers for “life is worth”, “Betelgeuse” and “Always”.
Junghwan our super king cow baby (nickname given by treasure members) the youngest. Has grow so much, he had a glowup in the last couple of years, you wouldn't recognize him now. He is now one of the strongest members along with Jihoon, his dancing has gotten better (he is the expressive powerful type) and he is starting to find a singing style. Make sure to check out his cover “Growing up is____” such a good cover. And he nails it in “Move”. And this year he became legally and adult, so now all Treasure members are adults and graduated high school. Sadly, recently his father passed away, for a moment it felt like he wasn’t coming back, but he is a strong-minded kid and returned stronger.

So, this is going to be an essay (lol) reason why I´m dividing this in two comments... it is a long video and I tried to answer most of your questions.
For the members that came after, I think they were chosen depending on their abilities. Yoshi and Asahi are composers, they have visual, Yoshi is a good rapper (if it wasn’t for Yoonbin he could have given a stronger impression) and Asahi has a unique voice. Regarding the other two members of "them A", I think the moment they were let go by YG they were scouted by their current company. Yao was a little too much in my opinion, he often went off bit because of his emotions.
One of the reasons he created another group was because of Mashiho, people started complaining that he was most of the time a Treasure member in treasure box and he wasn’t in the main group.
All their content and music are just so good, even their B sides.
Roomi is Jihoon character and Yochi is Yoshi’s character; each member created their own character.
Things got so bad at YG ent. That Yang Hyunsuk had to leave as the main directed and producer because of the scandals. He just recently came back as producer.
So in Corea "Hyung” (older brother) is how a younger man calls an older acquaintance that he is close to. For girls it is “Uni”. Guys call older female friends “Nona” and girls call older male friends “Oppa”. They do have the respect and “have to listen and do” what his elders say but some artist/friends tend to be “touchier” (in a physical way) and mellow (reason why “shipping” [that they are a “couple” or brotherly love]) exist. But Treasure in particular have stated that they are quite a touchy and flirty group. Shows how close they are with each other.

Former YG trainees who debuted to another companies end up being leaders or the main vocalist/rapper/dancer. Even though I can't approve some of YGE's decisions sometimes, I still believe they have the best training system.
