What's worse was that Jason, as a character, wasn't that bad. People didn't like him just because he was the second Robin and the first to replace Dick as Robin. Jason was disliked because people did not like change. It was also thought that someone cheated the vote by rigging a phone to call multiple times as there was it was possible, and there was no way to stop that at the time.
