He is focused on his legacy. I personally think Aspinal is a harder fight, but that doesn't mean Jon Jones is scared of Aspinal. Aspinal just doesn't have the same accomplishments as Stipe, so for resume purposes, Stipe is the bigger notch in the belt

Curtis Blades is similar to Dustin Porier when you think of career longetivity and being in the top of his division but just outside champion caliber, also seems like a genuinely good guy. Looking forward to the card this weekend, awesome match up that we missed out on initially!
Porier is not outside of champion caliber, Porier just had the bad luck of getting a shot at the title against the 3 greatest lightweights of all times. Porier would’ve been a champion if he fought any other champion in history.

But let's not forget: this is the heavyweight division. Everyone loses at some point. Everyone. The exponential increase in the risk of losing due to just one power shot landing is always there.
Curtis is a bad, bad matchup for Tom, stylistically speaking. Again, I hope he wins, but I won't be surprised if Curtis at least gives him a solid challenge, if not defeats him.
Either way, Aspinall is a breath of fresh air at a heavyweight division that has been sluggish with Jone's and Stipe's inactivity, likely retirement, and Francis Ngannou's exit.

I agree with Tom on the p4p thing because for instance if a 135lb fighter was 265lb they would have a completely different body type so they would fight different and move different so you can't compare fighters of completely different weight classes imo the heavyweight champion is the best fighter in the world and if any of the fighters in lower weights think otherwise they can move up and do something about it

P4p is bullshit if that’s what you interpret the definition to be. In reality that can’t possibly be what it means because size and weight wasn’t a factor, then the fighters would be training completely different. If Mighty Mouse was 260, he wouldn’t be nearly as good technically as he is because he simply wouldn’t need to be to compete at heavyweight and he’d spend more time doing other things. It should simply be a listing of who’s the most recently dominant fighters. That means across recent fights and against elite opponents.
