Number 12 has always been one of, if not the most fascinating place in all of the universe for me. I just couldn’t get enough of every sentence written about it in the books. I LOVED the fact they used it as home base for so long during the deathly hallows. I’d happily read an entire book just about its history.
I like imagining that Harry moves in there with Ginny and Kreacher when he works in London for the ministry and everyone visits them there
I watched cherry’s video of the same box, yours was so much more fun and less frustrating to watch when you know and appreciate all the references! Such a cool box, it’s refreshing to have the darker side of HP appreciated for what it is

As far as I remember the Black family saying or motto is ' Toujours Pur' which means always pure, so pur definitely means pure. Also I remember reading a fanfiction (please dont come at me, I do enjoy reading fanfictions from time to time) where Sirius Black did not die and took up the Black Family seat at the Wizengamot and changed the motto to "Toujours pur de Coeur" which means ' Always pure of heart'

😱oh no, I just thought of something, what happens whenever Kreacher dies. I mean, Harry would agree with Hermione (and any sane person) that putting the head of your house elf on a plaque on the wall is “barbaric”. But Kreacher would definitely want the “honor” of having his head among the previous Black family elves. So, would Harry give him a normal funeral or would he follow Kreacher wishes and put his head there?… 😰🙈

I kind of like this locket design than the one from the movies, definitely closer to how i imagined it when I was reading the books.
Also it's indeed very neat box all around, but maybe I'm biast because that was always my favorite locations from the books, with how creepy it is.

The black key, I agree with what you said. I took gold paint and highlighted the details, What a difference that made. LOVE IT.
They outdid themselves with this box. That is why they are my favorite. The potion was chef's kiss. I loved the tapestry. The key was the best part. I usually don't like keys but it was beautiful. My name is Zeke and I’m 13 years old! I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, I read all the books in elementary school and watched all the movies with my family and rewatch them often. In August of 2021, I was diagnosed with leukemia and in the hospital I spent most of my time watching UA-cam. I came across your channel and ever since I’ve watched every video the day it came out. I especially love to watch your mystery box unboxing videos. Anyways, now I’ve began to start a collection of my own! I have the full series in paperback and a few special editions but I was wondering if you had any tips on expanding my collection. I also plan on making a UA-cam channel inspired by yours once my collection gets big enough. I was also wondering if you had any tips on how to start a high quality UA-cam channel. Peter, I actually subscribed to The Wizarding Trunk because of you and this was the first box I ever got. It was such a thrilling experience and a complete joy! I was slightly bummed that there wasn’t anything Sirius-related (I’m a huge Sirius stan) while we got two elves but the more time passed, the more I appreciated it!
I am thrilled that you loved the box! I agree. A Sirius item would have been cool. But, I have to admit, I didn't feel like it was missing when I opened it.
So, I guess TWT came up with the “Pura Sanguine” to get around the official “Toujours Pur” which might get trademarked. And I just noticed that the ring has stars which might reference all the members of the family named after stars/constellations!
That would be my guess too. Thanks for that info about the stars! That is pretty cool if that is the case!

@@N0N4M30 trademarks work in the context of what theyre being used for - so rowling would be able to trademark the motto in relation to harry potter merch or the fictional house of black
I already know whats inside the box from other videos but its always fun to watch your reaction, its just fun to see you get excited over the merch cause I can feel the excitement over the screen too lol.

I wish I had gotten this box too. 😭 Sirius is my all-time favorite character (also what Regulus did for Kreacher with the locket was admirable) so I feel a kind of connection with the Black family (or perhaps more with family “traitors,” as they would’ve been called.) I would’ve loved this box.

Try dry brushing some gold or bronze paint over the raised parts of the key to give it some definition. Really strong box! All the best from Missouri.

This was a really neat box, the locket and the deed were my favorites - all the items feel like they could be useful for a display on the darker side - the elf head is too much for me though lol.

For the key, if you use a bit of silver rub and buff on the key and highlight some of the edges, I think it would look a whole lot better. It'd make the key pop out more.

While the paint job on the troll foot was pretty good, I re-did it myself (wish I could post pics) and now it's just amazing.

Oddly enough I want the troll foot lol. And I've been anticipating the portrait of Sirius's mom, glad it made it into the box! Now if only the next interpretation has an option to push a button and have her shrieking!

i'll never forget when my uncle Lucius and aunt Narcissa gave me my 1st blood purifying crystals. I could never forget those crystals because they were inside a French designer a purple dragon skin pouch hanging from the horn of my pet unicorn they got me for my acceptance letter/11th birthday party add the Romanian Dragon sanctuary( sorry mud bloods and Weasley's. Galyans really do make the world go around. When you're pure blood and rich you have the best parties at the most fantastic places.) The summer before I went off to Hogwarts. Love your new box PC! I had a great time sipping on some of my small batch 500 year old Japanese fire whiskey and watching you examine your stolen black family artifacts (I had such a great time I've already saved that memory in my pensive.). I am truly amazed how you were able to get your hands on so many legendary magical artifacts (obviously you're not scared of curses or hexes.), I am assuming you had them smuggled back into the country from France because every time I'm at Bergen andBerks i'll leave in discussed after being insulted with fraudulent trinkets and counterfeit non-magical dark artifacts. It really is a damn shame how that muggle loving ministry cleaned up nocturne and Diag and alley and turn them into a place where a witch cannot find anything she needs anymore. I'm sure you've heard about how hard it is to find a good hand of glory or a draft of living death these days. LMAO, LMAO, great video today, for a muggle. Lots of fantastic items in your box today! I'm just listening to the audio for the 5th book atm and the blood crystals is a nod to the Blood vase in the glass cabinet they clean out in the house of black in the order of the phoenix and they threw away a gold ring which had the family crest on it was Sirius' dads ring . Which I think Kreacher tried to save it but couldn't.
It would of been cool to see the little music box that made them all feel drowsy with creepy music or something like dishware with the family crest on.

I agree this is the best and my top favorite box from the Wizarding Trunk. I use the troll foot as a pen holder including for my Gryffindor sword pen from the Keep Collecting box and the Bellatrix knife mail opener from another box. The key is one of my favorite itmes, but I agree with you Peter on the key. I would like to have seen the details a bit easier with some distressing/paint fading or silver and green color relief to make areas stand out. And thank you Peter for the fantastic content variety.
I use it for my sword pen too and never ever thought to keep the dagger in there too! 🤩 Variety is the best. I’d be too bored focusing on just boxes or merchandise. Harry Potter is so much more than a few categories. 😍

My favorite items are the Pin I am usually not a fan of pins but a really like this one, The locket is really well made and something I would definitely wear, and of course the Magical Creatures page I love magical creatures if I worked in the magical world I would be like Newt studying, protecting and writing about magical creatures.

This is what I found on the ring. A few years ago Crazy Pig Designs was commissioned to make some exclusive jewellery for the Harry Potter Films; most famously worn by Helen Bonham Carter’s character Bellatrix Lestrange. The ring in particular that she wore in the films was extremely popular. However, with us unable to sell it we decided to make this Dvlcis Vita Skull ring that was modelled off the original. It features a matted scroll inscribed with “Dvlcis Vita” which in Latin loosely means "the good life". The scroll and detailed laurel leaves twist around the full faced skull and decorate the sizes of the ring. PUR is for Pure Blood.
Tonjour pur is the family motto, Latin for always pure
