I was trying to build a deck around Svalblod, but couldn't do it. Now I realize my mistake. You don't build a deck around Svalblod. You build a deck around Melusine, Knut and Sigvald with two ressurects for those three cards. And then you can put Svalblod in, or you don't have to. Svalblod doesn't really sinergize with the main three cards. He isn't really needed at all. The real threat however is Sigvald who will not die from damage, or if he dies, he gets ressurected. And Knut can remove one card per turn, no matter how powerful. And then at the end, Sigvald just boosts himself for an absurd amount. Svalblod is there just to scare the enemy. He can actually harm you more than the enemy, because using Knut and Sigvald, you already remove most cards opponents have, so Svalblod would deal more damage to you. My mistake was trying to include cards that benefit from being damaged Otter than the fanatics. But that's not really the way to go. Because 1, you don't have any good removal or control, and 2, you only deal some small linear damage, instead of exponential damage that comes from Knut and Sigvald, or exponential points from Malusine. Too bad that modern Gwent needs you to build decks with exponential synergy, otherwise you have no chance. Gone are the day where every turn would be like +10 you, -5 points the enemy throughout the game. Now the carry over stacks so crazily that you can do +150 points to you and - 100 to the enemy in the last turn alone. And everyone builds their decks and performs strategy to do just that.
Hey qcento, been watching your vids for a while and your mainly the reason why i've come to love gwent so much. I just want to ask if you play or plan to pick up legends of runterra and possibly make content with it??
I don't know about this one tbh. The older version with drakkar, priest, vildkaarl, ermion, bride feels better imo. Anyways, great video. What do you think about puting Lugos into this deck?
I was running Melitele temple with Foltest commando with erland. I'm still trying to figure it out. Temple might just be better to use in a knight deck

It feels like a "win more" card for this deck but it's a fun card. Dagur slaps in Rage of the Sea and Reckless Flurry. If I were to go all in on Dagur I'd start there.
Great video as always. Just to let you know, at 48:44 it was enough to play a decree into berserker and use one leader charge on it. If I did the maths correctly, you would stand at 2 points advantage after svalbod activation. Anyway, hats off for that discard strategy later in the 3rd round. Cheers!

Really consider Olgierd Immortal in this deck. He can clutch if you accidentally board wipe with Svalblod
Olgierd is a staple in my Golden Nekker versions but in this case there were many cards I wanted to include that provisions wouldn't allow.
You already have Sigvald. He kinda is like Olgierd, but better.
