History repeats itself. When the first mold came out with this color nobody wanted them, hated them. Now they’re so expensive, people can’t get enough of them. This is no different. People will complain and talk the smack about this light green 4 pack, but just wait 2-3 years & see what happens. Literally watching this happen all over again
I've talked myself out of previous releases, since I don't collect the cartoon line, but I could at least use the turtles, and love the style guide colors, so I may have to finally break down and grab these guys. Certainly will be debating with myself at least. 😛
I find it funny how people ask if its worth getting. If one has tge disguise set then no its nit worth getting for a few reasons. Price is less for disguise set and More accessories and better paint app. This new 4 pack way less accessories and costs $160 with tax license and registration. Colours off on many sets. Unless youre one of those freaks that has to have every focking thing in a particular line . Or you didnt get the disguise set then get this. Unless you can find a disguise set for $200 and pay a few extra pennies, if lucky might get it for $180 Just added just thought of this: i think in part why this set costs more is that (aside from the things goung on in the world prices going up shipping etc bullshyte etc) is that neca realised they focked up on the price on the disguise set as it was lower in price and more stuff than this new 4 pack. So they said... ill get you my kiddies, and all your dough tooo 😈😏 so they charged more on this new set to make up the difference on what they should've charged on the disguise set.
Hey, thanks for this info! I was wondering which of these sets I should get, and you helped me decide. So I ordered the disguise pack from Amazon. :D A little pricier now, but worth it to get the turtles in a non-neon green. Could you tell me how their articulation is, out of curiosity? :)
@@xoxardnekoxo it depends on the individual realy. Some got this new 4 pack because of price being less than thw diaguise set. But yiu can find the disguise set for $180 $20 bucks more then the 4pck. When the disguise set came out it was $140 including tax. The 4pck ive seen variations in tge green tone whereas the disguise set i havent seen any or heard of slight off colouring im sure maybe there has been but more in the 4pck from more yellowish to a more florecent green. The disguise set has more accessories but as for the figuer themselves same exact thing onky colour scheme. Even the channel 6 cat set was $140 i believe either way less than the 4pck.but like i said some people want everything from a line.
Hey, I just discovered these - thanks so much for this video! I remember when I first saw the two-pack sets at Target a couple of years ago, but they were like $50-$80 each, and of course the store didn't have the full set of four turtles (you never find all four when they don't come that way). So I got to looking at them on eBay and found this, but wanted to check out a video to see if it was worth it. Thanks for this information, it's very helpful! My birthday is coming up, and the series and I both turn 35 this year, so I'm having a TMNT themed party. Now I know what to get! Thank you! NOTE: I have a set of these turtles in the same size, but they're not Neca - I got them at Books A Million and the boxes said they're collectible figures, but I can't remember what brand they are. Anyway, they're cool and they have manhole cover stands with their names on them and they have their weapons (and all four have weapon holders), but their arms don't go down against their sides, so they're constantly doing a "flying" effect without their weapons, and of course you can't change their faces so if you want them to look happy or cool and not angry or in a fight pose, you're out of luck. So I love that these can have their faces changed. I have to say though, that Leonardo's swords are better than Neca's - the Neca ones don't even look like katanas, honestly. They look more like machetes. Katanas are meant to be long and slim with a curved edge. So that part is disappointing. As for Michelangelo's chucks, LOL yes they do look pretty long! But I work on 1/6 scale crafts, and I have little bitty tweezers and pliers meant for jewelry making... I could most likely use those to shorten the chains of the chucks. If anyone else is reading this, you can try it as well! For him and Raphael's lack of weapon storage, I'll have to see if I can rig something up similar to the aforementioned figures I got at BAM.
Went to my local Target today to check out what they had left. Mostly everything was gone except these, a few Foot Clan, and the new Muckman. Had about 4-5 of these sets left on the shelf. Took a box down and gave the figs a once over. For $150, I really, really expected the quality to be better. Especially from Neca. I've seen people say they think the molds are bad, which I would say is the least of the sets problems. On the sets my Target had, the paint quality was almost akin to what I've seen on something like the My Hero Aca McFarlane line. Glad to see a set like that exists, but was thoroughly disappointed in the quality to price-point. The new Muckman looked amazing, though!
I don't know if NECA can even make them, but my dream turtles would be with the Playmates colors. I don't have any turtles yet so I will get these if I can find them, but that price hike mixed with not being my ideal look is a tough pill, for sure. Even still, having turtles is better than not having turtles.
Same green as the first style guide turtles. I like these but I prefer the first round with the darker green for the cartoon. This brighter green does work well for an Archie look as well.
Oh BREKA... I got this box set and Mikey's KNOT was broken, fortunately he comes with 2 but NECA was like "Return it to the store we don't handle that." Target be like "LOL WE DONT TAKE BROKEN FIGURES, POLICY.. and its out of stock"
Turtles in disguise so much better hopefully I can find that set at retail like channel 6 pack but if not I might have to dig in scalper pit again 🤷🏿♂️
I had the TID ones and my Leo’s sheath was super closed off and couldn’t fit one of his swords and now I got this new 4 pack and it’s the same thing! Are all of them like that?
Great video man! I was noticing that the 2 pack with Raf and Mikey they have more serious expressions vs the 4pac. I have the 4 pac but wish they had the heads of the 2pack. That being said, which version of the lighter tone turtles do you prefer? The 4 pack with all of them or the ones that come in sets of two ( Raf and Mikey ) and ( Leo with Don ) again, I notice the heads have a more serious and angry expression that I wish the 4 pack had. Please let me know, would love your input on this
Pretty much the same overall, but the expressions pack takes the cake. While I like the green on these new ones. The original first wave 2 packs had a great dark green to em. Thanks for watching
ah i missed the set oh well. At least I got the playmates ones for a good price. Edit: yeah this set is going for $200+ on the aftermarket nuts to that. Damn scalpers
They really didn't include the original heads or the cardboard accessories? I bought it, but I'm irritated it's not complete. I guess I have to track those heads down.
@@ToyShiz Never saw the older ones but damn lol I actually spin chucks as a hobby and the "standard" is like 6 or 7 links in the chain but that those things are crazy long.

I randomly found these this week at my target lol.

I have this set. I didn't have a chance to get the previous waves. Really happy with them.
I was lucky to find the last one at my target. I bit the $150 bullet but it’s worth it since I don’t have the older ones.

So this is my question do these have the new articulation found in the TID packs?
The belts do have some give if you warm them up
Hey, will you be able to post the link when the 4 turtles go up?
Do these figures hold up or do they break like other Neca figures interested in buying but not if they're going to bust on me
WOW, thank you for the review. Love to have them, but can't find them here in UK..😒
I was able to nab this turtles 4-pack today but I didn't know the evil dead 1 ash was releasing too.
the Turtles In Disguise is much much better. But awesome review

@Fortress Mattimus
If you want the classic figures with articulation you might want to look at the Super7 TMNT stuff
@@TheGreatDayne1983 I'm considering it, but I think the Super7 are too big to scale with the rest of the neca figs
Try mix matching the sets the light and dark green sets. It won't be exactly like old playmates line but it will be a close enough.
@@fortressmattimus3984 the turtles are, the bigger characters can fit
Seeing these on eBay but not on the Target website, are they still to be added or have they just been and gone fast?
Hey was this released again? I couldn’t find it
What do you think of the green? Looks better in person? Something seems off on the shade of green on the video.
Same green as the first style guide turtles. I like these but I prefer the first round with the darker green for the cartoon. This brighter green does work well for an Archie look as well.

Toy shiz is there any difference color wise in these new tmnt 4 pack with the previous 2 pack light green color ?
Dude, did you watch the video? He literally compares them at the end.
dude I want this so bad.
ah i missed the set oh well. At least I got the playmates ones for a good price.

Got mine today without looking for it
I want them but the CND price is scary!!!... and they will be hard to find where i live.
They really didn't include the original heads or the cardboard accessories? I bought it, but I'm irritated it's not complete. I guess I have to track those heads down.
I mean I was hoping for them to release the mirage turtles. Years begging for those turtles. Neca come on!!!
Is it worth a buy?
Did you watch the vid? Now it’s up to you to decide
If you can afford them you’re not gonna lose money in the long run
Mikeys chucks are so long
First they were too short, now they’re too long. The man’s just trying to chuck in peace😂

Inaccurate lime green TMNTs. Easy pass.
They're more like the arcade game. With so many versions who gives a shit if they're "inaccurate".
Why is NECA’s quality control so dog 💩?
