Hey, it's ok to feel tired and low energy, every day is like the fingers in our hands each one unique and different, remember you got this!! You have done so many miles, be proud of yourself and your accomplishment s.✨🎉❤🌟❤✨
Hey Maddie love your videos! But there is something I have heard other hikers and thru hikers talk about and sometimes you just have to “hike your own hike” and take as many zeros as you need !!!
You can do it. Just keep on grinding the miles. When you're close to giving up but push through anyway and don't quit that's what's going to make you feel most proud. Ganbatte!
Just try to do 10-miles a day,sat & Sunday 5-miles to relax, don't rush, enjoy the trail, even if it takes more time to finish the whole hike to maine,be safe,God speed.
Thank you for sharing your ups and downs. That is what reality UA-cam is about! We’re with you in heart and soul! We’re happy when you’re happy we’re happy!
Maddie, think about WHY you started this journey and allow that to remind you about your purpose right here-right now. It's not about your speed, if you need time to recoup, take the time. Of course be mindful, but remember to never give up and to just keep going! You freaking GOT THIS!! ❤️🌠 Blessings, love and light.
Thanks for sharing the real deal. This is what makes your documentation extra special. ❤ We are rooting for you. It was hard work catching your friends.
Thank you for sharing. Sometimes the biggest challenge is the mental challenge. Although it sounds physically pushing your limits. You can do this!!!! 🎉❤
VA is very tough and is taken for granted. From Damascus to dalevillie you did 54000 feet of elevation gain and about the Same time n loss….You are burning 6-8 thousand calories a day. It’s your body telling you something… stay away from carbs and sugar and get protein and fats. Take two maybe three days off eat and sleep… you have plenty of time… it’s getting warm now stay hydrated. Shed the weight out of your bag put it in a box and bounce it up . Just my two cents. Your doing great and have plenty of time
I feel like maybe you need to eat more? I follow a bodybuilder in prep and she also talks about being tired all the time and having brainfog from the dieting. Hope you feel better soon, I love watching your videos!
Good job young lady. Don’t quit in 76 and just wish I could be able to do that again. Head for the mountains and just walk around all day. I’m jealous and proud of your progress. God Bless ❤
Sending reinvigorating energy out to ya!! You definitely got this!! Awesome to see you keeping it real. No thru hike is all butterflies and rainbows.. Ha.
may be all the allergy medicine that is making you feel tired/ exhausted....they are notorious for that... may want to do some research online and see which ones have the least sleepiness./ tiredness side efffects
Just thinking Maddie, which allergy medication you are taking? I know there are non drowsy ones but meds affect individuals differently. Sending strength - you got this
Can you track your sleep on your watch? It sounds like you aren't getting the quality of sleep that you need. Is everything working with your sleep system? Would it help if you either slept in or stopped earlier in the day? At least for a couple of weeks? I backpack a lot, and sometimes a sleep deficit happens, even though I think that I am sleeping well. Whatever it is, you've got this.
I think it’s great to document the ups and downs. Love seeing your journey! I’ve been following for a while and was so excited to see you doing this trail. Makes me want to go do a long distance trail one day!
Hope you feel better soon. I can only imagine how fatigued and worn down you must be getting but I wonder if you push on if you’ll get a second wind? All the best!
Stop for 2 days eating alot of protein and a half of a multi vitamin each day. Your muscles will heal which is what theyre craving-healing. And you heal the most in your sleep so make sure to get good sleep during this process. After 2 days so much more protein will have gone to your muscles creating new muscle and youll feel great. And after that if you start doing workouts targeting each muscle group, especially squats, calf raises, and lunges it wont be long before you have a totally different level of strength and itll be a night and day difference. There is nothing like exclusively targeting muscle groups.
You hardly look it. Stay positive. Just remember everybody is into butts nowadays so you have that to look forward to! Keep pushing. And inspiring us!!!
You have probably learnt it by now but to get rested you need to rest BEFORE you are tired. Think about the old "march 3 days, rest one". There is just too much healng to be done in one day if you run yourself to the ground first.
Relish in the beauty of nature. Trust me, going to work everyday Is no walk in the park either Dealing with bosses and co workers And customers. I’ll take trees and rivers And exhaustion any day. LoL
My suggestion to you is to listen to your body. You aren't in a race. Sit back and enjoy yourself and your surroundings and if you need 5 days to kick it to reset it's not going to hurt anything but your ego. It is ok to camp relax and just simply be.
Maybe a 0 day or 2 of filming. We enjoy it sure, but we care more about your health. You have 4 more months to go so maybe just a long video once a week and continue with the daily. Just want you to be in good spirits!🤠
Take it easier on yourself. I think you got a bit too stressed trying to catch up to your friends. Try sleeping later a few mornings, eat more protein and get some electrolytes in your system. Ratchet down on the mileage and enjoy the hike.
You've developed dark circles under your eyes. You might have to take more than one day to let yourself rest so that you won't end up getting injured up the trail.
You look very tired and thin. I’m a little worried. Can you up your nutrition and good calories? Your face and skin say your body is under stress,,so if you are demanding more from it, you need to be giving it the fuel it needs. Your muscles say you need more electrolytes, vitamins and minerals and calories. It doesn’t hurt to take a weekend off. Just don’t do it on a weekend because motel Prices are higher than in the middle of the week. Tues/Wed./Thursday.
Hard for me to believe you have been hiking for 63 days in a row and you look like you slept in your bed in a clean house last night I've done 37 days in a row and I looked like a survivor from a national disaster being found after a week and from my experience the soreness and being weak is absolutely a thing of the past after 21 days and your complaining is not something a liberated person does meaning if you have been exposed to nature for 60 plus days grounding ,sun /cold water therapy being energized from mother nature it's not possible to be negative so I am not buying your story 😅
I mean I stop for showers and a night in a bed when I pass by towns. As for "complaining" my goal is to show the good and bad of my experience. Up to you whether to watch it or not! :)
Only you know what your body needs if its a few more meals and rest for your thigh and butt muscles to heal or just being a clean woman who poops indoors and socializes with people😁 whatever clears your mind so you can focus on your personal goals for hiking the AT, maybe a beautiful place worth lounging at up the trail if taking a break has a reverse effect and you want more you will have to fight that battle mentally on your own we're all cheering you on either way your doing awesome soon you'll be able to kick a tire off a hyundai with those legs, hope our commentary helps heal your spirit as well there is still some honey moon phase left in this journey 🤔 at the end 🤣 gonna need a 40oz beer and a two week foot rub after but it will be a great accomplishment of mental and physical ability most importantly stay safe
I don't know how you guys thru-hike almost everyday for months. I couldn't do it. Much respect and take another zero day or two. You deserve it!
Wow that’s a long haul!!! Stay strong 💪🏻
hang in there.. rooting for ya
Following Since Day 1... Wishing You All The Best!! Stay Strong, Live Long!! You're On A Magical Quest!!!
There are good days and bad days - you’re just ticking off one of the bad ones, ready for things to get better again
Sometimes the weather can do that, high humidity etc. A clear sunny day can bring back the energy...something with the ions....
You’re the greatest! I love that you are not always positive. I love that you are honest! Keep doing YOU❤️⭐️
Adorable. I love your plucky spirit. Dig deep Maddie. You are doing so well.
I hope by the time you read this, you are feeling much better! I'm sure it has to be physically and mentally taxing to hike so many miles. Hugs!
I hope we'll for you
Hang in there Maddie!
You can do it. Just keep on grinding the miles. When you're close to giving up but push through anyway and don't quit that's what's going to make you feel most proud. Ganbatte!
Wholesome comment from Mr Questionable screen name, lol
Go Mattie goooooo 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 you’re building your endurance and it’s showing yeahhhhh🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just try to do 10-miles a day,sat & Sunday 5-miles to relax, don't rush, enjoy the trail, even if it takes more time to finish the whole hike to maine,be safe,God speed.
Maddie, sending positive vibes your way.
You are a warrior and an inspiration.
Thank you for sharing your ups and downs. That is what reality UA-cam is about! We’re with you in heart and soul! We’re happy when you’re happy we’re happy!
you got this!!!
Maddie, you need to put your health first as always, if you need to take a week take a week...or just keep going. Either way, we are all proud of you.
It's OK to keep it real. Kept on keeping on. You are doing great!
VA blues but you’ve got this! I can’t wait to hear what flavor ice you pick for your Half Gallon Challenge. I’m praying for you!!!!
Maddie, think about WHY you started this journey and allow that to remind you about your purpose right here-right now. It's not about your speed, if you need time to recoup, take the time. Of course be mindful, but remember to never give up and to just keep going! You freaking GOT THIS!! ❤️🌠
Blessings, love and light.
When can gobble food that's at least processed as possible and try to get in multiple forms of protein. Big helper!
Thanks for sharing the real deal. This is what makes your documentation extra special. ❤ We are rooting for you. It was hard work catching your friends.
Thanks!
Thanks!! ☺️

DOUBLE ZERO!! 😄 I completed the AT last year. Just never give up!
You are doing amazing, vent away! Are you getting enough magnesium, potassium and other electrolytes? They can really effect your muscles and energy.
Good job young lady. Don’t quit in 76 and just wish I could be able to do that again. Head for the mountains and just walk around all day. I’m jealous and proud of your progress. God Bless ❤
Be safe and stay hydrated! I've always wanted to do that. I can't because I have MS but you got this!!!
Dig deep... You got this... Been watching sinch day one... Looking foward to you crossing the finish line
Sending reinvigorating energy out to ya!! You definitely got this!! Awesome to see you keeping it real. No thru hike is all butterflies and rainbows.. Ha.

As a man who is in great physical shape I wouldn't ever dream of hiking the AT alone. Best of luck. Hope you make it!
Catching up on all your videos ❤❤❤
You're the best!
I think it’s great to document the ups and downs. Love seeing your journey! I’ve been following for a while and was so excited to see you doing this trail. Makes me want to go do a long distance trail one day!
Continued prayers and love for you! You got this girl!❤😊
Hope you feel better soon. I can only imagine how fatigued and worn down you must be getting but I wonder if you push on if you’ll get a second wind? All the best!
You can do this!!!
Do you get enough electrolytes? Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium.
I’ve heard that other AT hikers are feeling exhausted and attributing it to the Canadian wild fire smoke, poor air quality.
❤Hang in there and drink lots of water. It helps😊❤

65 days?? Are you out of your mind?? God bless you! 😅
Are you getting enough calories/protein? I'm hoping your travels get better. Don't give up.
I notice your not wearing a hat. How do you keep ticks off of your head?
Don't burn yourself out enjoy the Appalachian trail if you have to do it in sections
Calories? You're doing great. One step at a time.
You have probably learnt it by now but to get rested you need to rest BEFORE you are tired. Think about the old "march 3 days, rest one". There is just too much healng to be done in one day if you run yourself to the ground first.
Thought is was a bad news day :) my legs and hips are a bit dead at present so time for the massage ball
Relish in the beauty of nature.
Trust me, going to work everyday
Is no walk in the park either
Dealing with bosses and co workers
And customers. I’ll take trees and rivers
And exhaustion any day. LoL

It’s probably nutrition. Just a guess though hope you’re doing better. Keep hammering.
Dude. You do what you need to do. Take time off or don’t. Both are okay.
You’ve got this Maddie! Be like dori from finding Nemo and just keep hiking just keep hiking just keep hiking hiking hiking. 😃
Hope she's Packing
How many miles a day do you try to cover?
Hopefully you brought enough stuff with
Still a cutie 🥰
Is the AT goes all the way to Canadian border?
So real life
Up your protein if you can. Hang in there!
You should be with someone in the wilderness. Buddy system like scouts
Walls keep appearing!
Gummy vitamins?
Where did you start
Maybe a 0 day or 2 of filming. We enjoy it sure, but we care more about your health. You have 4 more months to go so maybe just a long video once a week and continue with the daily. Just want you to be in good spirits!🤠
Sabbath
The lighting in the last two shorts look off, like your phone is dying
we need the bad we know it's not all good.
Virginia Blues???
Take it easier on yourself. I think you got a bit too stressed trying to catch up to your friends. Try sleeping later a few mornings, eat more protein and get some electrolytes in your system. Ratchet down on the mileage and enjoy the hike.
Nutrition!
Don't give up until you see Jesus or a checkered flag. 🏁
You've developed dark circles under your eyes. You might have to take more than one day to let yourself rest so that you won't end up getting injured up the trail.
Have you seen Bigfoot
How new are zero days? It seems like a kind of cheat
How new? Been going on for a long time as far as I know. Your body needs to rest in order to keep going
Your ATP is depleted. Methinks some MitoQ might help.
You are definitely looking thinner. That’s not a good or bad thing but your face is starting to look different.
Shit I’ll help u get what u need😂😂
You look very tired and thin. I’m a little worried. Can you up your nutrition and good calories? Your face and skin say your body is under stress,,so if you are demanding more from it, you need to be giving it the fuel it needs. Sorry to hear about your sore butt muscles. Keep up the hard work. The results will be a firm tight rump which is what most women want.
You might be anemic. Or low on vitamins. Hopefully our negatives and positives balance out.
Maybe you need more calories.
I hope you are armed. A lot of sicko's out there.
You need electrolytes
Hard for me to believe you have been hiking for 63 days in a row and you look like you slept in your bed in a clean house last night I've done 37 days in a row and I looked like a survivor from a national disaster being found after a week and from my experience the soreness and being weak is absolutely a thing of the past after 21 days and your complaining is not something a liberated person does meaning if you have been exposed to nature for 60 plus days grounding ,sun /cold water therapy being energized from mother nature it's not possible to be negative so I am not buying your story 😅

Nobody is making you do this
Sometimes you can not want to do something, but do it anyway because it'll be worth it in the end. Also, nobody is making you watch this ;)
Only you know what your body needs if its a few more meals and rest for your thigh and butt muscles to heal or just being a clean woman who poops indoors and socializes with people😁 whatever clears your mind so you can focus on your personal goals for hiking the AT, maybe a beautiful place worth lounging at up the trail if taking a break has a reverse effect and you want more you will have to fight that battle mentally on your own we're all cheering you on either way your doing awesome soon you'll be able to kick a tire off a hyundai with those legs, hope our commentary helps heal your spirit as well there is still some honey moon phase left in this journey 🤔 at the end 🤣 gonna need a 40oz beer and a two week foot rub after but it will be a great accomplishment of mental and physical ability most importantly stay safe
but, ure hiking as a hobby, go get rest, wtf? whats up with racing ure self ?
I wanted to be your 100 comment,stay strong,😂
I like the Appalachian Trail in 2017 and there's no way I could have did it without weed
