Winda Woppa is more than just a local reserve. It is a junction of land and water between Jimmy's Beach and the Myall River and includes both Winda Woppa Beach and the waterfront along The Anchorage of The Myall River. It continues down to the mouth of the Lower Myall River where it meets the Karuah River and Corrie Island.
Winda Woppa Reserve is split into two separate areas, one allowing access to the lake and the other to the ocean. With the towns of Tea Gardens to the north and Hawks Nest to the east.
