Sounds like they had an Electric Bass player play the Bass part down an Octave. Turns out there is optional Electric Bass (the Upright Bass can also play Pizzicato through out to get that sharper attack, but that might have to be in the newer edition someday) so it's even more flexible. The Bass part should also say this "If you're more advanced, feel free to play this part 8vb".

@@gisellevasquez900 Good thing we have 3rd violin parts to double the violas. This arrangement explores the different registers of the string orchestra. There should be a version for choir band and strings. The bass part also be played on the electric bass.
