I became a planner for the 1st time in 2019 and about March I realized 1 wasn't working. I had so much stuff written down that it stressed me to look at each day. Once I broke things up into multi planners I felt so much better. And I felt accomplished when I moved from 1 section to next. I still remember the relief on taking everything scrambled in my brain and writing down the 1st week I planned.

I combine three months of multiples into one “Frankenstein Planner”. My daily schedule, my devotional, my daughters school/cheerleading, notes section, blog section, and budget section.

Lol I don’t “need” multiple planners but I do because I can use more stickers, and because I can never decide on which one I love the most 😂🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😆 they all have a purpose and each one has a separate subject which I like to keep separate.

What I realized for me is yes I need multiple planners, but the trick is they have to be in one place. For 2020 I'm going transformer with four Happy Planners and I think it's going to work out really well.

i am a journal and pretty planner collector. Starring at a pretty book or calling it beautiful and mine makes me happy. I know that wasn’t in you list, but this is a truth for me. A beautiful new planner will lay in my appartement for weeks just to look at it and than it wents to a display cabinet to my collection. Some people collect jewlery or pretty stones, i collect planners/journals. Why not. Am i crazy? yes maybe....

Its weird because I love to divide things into sections in my life to stay more organized (True Virgo at heart) but when it comes to planning I just can’t use more than one planner. I take my planner everywhere because I work 3 jobs and am a sickly person by nature so I always need to see if I have room to fit in different doctors appointments so the idea of not being able to access everything that I need when I need it whether I’m home or on the go gives me just as much anxiety as not having a planner at all lol. I envy those who can use more than one planner though, maybe one day I will get there but not anytime soon. Great video 😊🖤

Courtcorny I’m a Virgo too and I love to keep a mini with me as a catch all and other planners at home in sections so I’m not doubling up on effort. Well I guess I kinda do because my catch all have some repeats in each section... but it helps me to remember all the things!

Joy T my Virgo sister ♍️ 💕 I like the idea of a mini. I got a micro notes this year and I was thinking about buying the skinny mini as a purse planner but I just end up buying more sticker books every time I go to look at them. That’s a great idea though! I think I could see myself with a catch all and a mini quicker then I could would multiple big planners. You use the skinny mini? Or another brand? 🤔

    • @jtfirewalker
      @jtfirewalker 4 роки тому

Courtcorny I use a happy planner mini. Regular. I just saw a half size mini on “at home with Quita”. I was thinking it looked so cute but no. I need the room of a regular horizontal mini. I’m trying a Stargazer for 2020 and I’m a little nervous because it’s a dashboard (I think). If jt doesn’t work, I will either try a skinny classic and make a “fauxbonichi” or use a mini notes and “bullet journal” it. I refuse to buy any more planners this year!!

    • @court874
      @court874 4 роки тому

Joy T I love quitas videos, that’s where I first saw the skinny one. Pls let me know what method ends up working best for you if you get the chance in a few months. (cdmoten@msn.com) I’m new to planning sort of. I’ve been planning since 2016 but stickers and all that this is my first time this year so I have no idea what I’m doing still lol. Don’t be scared! This is one of those things where it takes a lot of trial and error to find your perfect system. Once you find it, it will be rewarding 💕

I like to compartmentalize, but I also basically want everything to be all together and with me all the time. Which is how I ended up with a TN style cover, stuffed with inserts. :-)

Multiple planners? No - I have REAL commitment issues - LOL. One is enough!! However, a Frankenplanner (catchall, meals/grocery list, and budget) seems like a better option for me since I don't like carrying a lot of stuff with me. 2020 I am going to try to manage an HP and a journal. Wish me luck!

During black Friday i was thinking of using one planner as my normal planner, one for budgeting, and a mini for fitness.
Then.i realized that i don't do much because I'd rather be at home instead of going out, so my weeklys are very bare with work times or hang out times, or cleaning lol
So i just extra paper to put in the beginning of every month for budgeting and the fitness extension packet.

I've become a multiple planner person because I'm a Homeschool mom, an entrepreneur, and a caregiver. My boys each get a planner for all their lessons and they help me decorate them (HP needs a boy sticker book). I've Frankenstein'd the Miss Maker planner into an inventory/orders planner, and one planner for the elder gentleman I care for with all appts and notes from the visits etc.

I am having an easy time keeping up in one planner, but it doesn’t hold everything. I do think in a compartmentalized way. My Amy Tangerine is my catch-all...or Command Central. Birthdays, taxes, book releases, changing batteries/furnace filters, etc. Amy sits open on my desk. I check her every morning to see what needs to be done. Because she is open, she needs pretty stickers. 😉 My Budget Extension pack is being Frankenplanned into Command Central, but being kept separate because it is a specialized task that needs it’s own planner pages so that I concentrate only on budget/finances when looking/working on these pages. I’m calling her Frankie. Alas, poor Frankie will be stuck with mostly functional stickers. But there will be a special celebration and pretty stickers when I make my last car payment in June!! My Rongrong Skinny Classic is my go-with-me everywhere. Her name is Baby and I keep her close. She holds my lists of chores, errands, etc. She also holds emergencies that happen when I’m out. SHe gets a few pretty stickers at the end of the week, if room allows. TFS and confirming that I’m on-the-right-track!

I'm new to planning and this video was very helpful. I think I love the idea of "frankenplanning" (which I know wasn't discussed in this video but I've watched videos about it) because I need lots of information handy in one place so I'm thinking I can have a planner "active" for 3 months or so (with a year-at-a-glace section to be able to project information out). I'm going to give it a shot! All these videos are SO helpful - and fun!!

This was very helpful and reassuring! I have a catch all and a separate faith planner which is working very well. I wanted to add a mini fitness (because they’re so cute!) but decided to get fitness sticker pack and use the focus section of my dashboard layout to track fitness for now. After a few months if I need more space I’ll get the mini. Want to make sure I know what I’m doing fitness-wise first.

This video is gold! I have needed to ask myself these questions for a long time, but I couldn't think of them on my own. Lol. Question #1= I'm mindblown. Duh. It would seem to be obvious, but when I look at it, I just can't stick to one planner but I need to try! I am a planner addict and love looking at the different kinds and trying to find the one or ones that make my life work like clockwork. It sure is fun (and expensive) but isn't really helping me productive and practical . Thank you for making this video!!

I have 2 yearly planners; a HP Big Dashboard Layout for my weekly to-do & appts, and a HP Classic 18-month Horizontal that started this past July 2019 and goes to December 2020 that I’m using for Bible Study/journaling on Sunday’s, exercise, and regular notes. But, I also have 2 Happy Notes that I just bought in September for wellness and gratitude. I might do gratitude for a month and then switch it up with my wellness. Also, my goal is to work on my eating disorder and log everything I eat. So, I might buy Squaird Plans’ fitness printable on Etsy and use that to track food and motivational quotes.

I am going to have a catch-all planner. It will be my weekly, fitness, and budget. Having it all in one planner and then transferring them back at the end of the month seems ideal to me and I can’t wait. I will be having a mini and then a memory keeping one as well.

I've been using the Paint Splash 18 month since I got it and trying to cram EVERYTHING in my life in it. I recently got the 2020 wellness planner, and have been using inserts in that until January, and it's such a relief to get what I consider wellness into some place different.
I have one of the new faith planners on the way.
I am going to be getting a seperate dashboard planner in the spring to have a place to seperate homeschooling stuff.
I still fill up my catch all but it is awesome to be able to switch gears depending on what planner I'm using!

This was a great video, and really made me think about my current planning system. I've been using planners since I was in elementary school, so not a newbie by any means, but this was still helpful for me to watch.
I like keeping two planners - I use an hourly A4 Personal Planner for work to track meetings, tasks, appointments, etc. and that is working well so far. I need that size for work. I'm also using an A5 Personal Planner for my personal life, but there isn't enough room for my WHOLE life - budget, chores, tasks, fitness, etc. and I keep having to get cahiers to hold extra info, and I dislike keeping track of where those are. I realized that I like everything for my personal life in one book with my months and weeks, with clearly labeled sections for specific things - budget, grocery lists, cleaning lists, general notes, sermon notes, brain dumps, and fitness. Hourly weekly layouts have been great for my easily distracted brain because I can track what I'm doing or cover up the times with stickers when I don't need them for a day.
I don't like discs, but if I'm able to get all I need into one book, I may just have to eat my words and give them a go 🤷🏿‍♀️😂 I was also thinking of trying a six ring planner with a cover since that might be more my style and last longer. I have time to think about it; my A5 PP finishes in June. I'm eyeing inserts from Jane's Agenda and will be down another UA-cam rabbit hole until then!

I use two planners; one for my daily task at work (I am an elementary school secretary/bookkeeper) and one for the rest of my life. Carrying around two books was not working for me, so I put 3 months each in a hard cover (Happy Planner). I also have tabs for general notes or ideas, sermon/Bible Study, my address book, budget and my Thirty-One business. Having multiple sections in one planner helps me compartmentalize my life in one place.

How about being afraid to plan? I started to plan last summer, but then I had to be evacuated due to a wild fire. When i finally came home, I had a health issue that caused me to spend 40 days in the hospital. The year 2020 was no better because of a COVID lock down, my daughter's back surgery (which I didn't mind being there for her), my surgery + recovery (God bless my daughter and son-in-law), but then I had no way to be at home to accomplish anything. Now I'm facing a new year and wondering what else can happen to me, knowing I have so much I want to do?

I switched from Classic to Mini for 2020. I have a Classic Dashboard and Classic Horizontal that I bought before how I was planning/journaling shifted and changed. I realized that I was trying to do too much extra stuff with my planners and it was exacerbating my chronic illness issues.
Then I got a Mini Monthly (Stargazer) and made it into a chunky mini for the end of the year combined with my mini happy planner ideas/bujo collections notebook (which I literally use every single day). I did buy the Paint Splash Classic Skinny and Skinny Mini because they are pretty. Not sure how I'm going to use them, but I'll figure it out. But for my typical day to day needs, a monthly calendar and place to jot down my "got done list" at the end of the day are all that I really need. The rest is just extra.

I have found I am needing a much bigger planner to see and wright in for the things I want to put in my planner. Myself and one of my sibling both have chronic illness and disablbed and we are both on medication and are on formella. Along with doctors apptimente we go to regularly. Then I also do UA-cam as a hobby, along with wrighting down the books I am reading and what happens in the chapters of the books and lastly I am a couponer and kidda of a budgeter Couponig helps me and my family a lot I live with my parents and my siblings
so I am trying to see if 2 planners will help me if I do revive a new planner and how to use it

I probably would not do well using multiple planners, but I’m not sure the best way to go about only using one planner. I can’t find a planner that seems to fit all my needs, and I haven’t been able to figure out a way to ‘frankenplan’ my happy planner to be able to have it fit all my needs. Are there any videos on this?

I am in such a planner slump. I want to buy my 2020 planner but have no motivation to do so.

I tried the Frankenplanning and it doesn't work for me!! For 2021 I am going to try the multiple planners system. I know that what I plan on using each one. My idea would be Master planner (go to) and a 2nd Master planner for my business since appointments are part of the business. Budget planner, Health & Fitness and Home Planner. A total of 5!!!

Heather Love your channel.... What do you do with all the extra planners that you don't use? Have you ever thought of blessing a new Planner Babe with one or two?

Dusty Baney trust me, I bless people with planners all the time. Just yesterday I gave two planners to two different people. I may not do it publically all the time but it gets done.

I am 100% a one planner girl. I need everything in one place as every aspect of my life has an influence on the others and so I need to see it all at a glance.

Couldn’t you just buy like the expansion packs and the monthly expansion packs and kind of Franken plan instead of buying multiple whole planners that’s what I thought about doing like one for home one for wellness and one for budgeting?
