The only pan cover you will never have a problem with is steel screen. won't work on the mb650 or the trap the mb cloned (MJ 600), but every other coyote trap it is great.

Personally, i wouldn't be surprised whatsoever at losing a coyote in a cable after checking it in the afternoon. Usually there half chewed by early morning..great video though!!!

the polyfill is an excellent tip.i used dry grass once and it swelled up under the pan and caused a miss.
Keep your bag of Poly in a sealed container. If it gets even the slightest odor you'll have trouble. Coyotes pick up on it and so will the mice.

Also would a coyote chew through bailer twine? I thought about using it to attach a anchor or trap?
I personally would not use that. I’ve had them chew through many snares. That’s stainless cable.
