- This project is to restore an area of forest into its natural state. Filling in trenches that was dug to lead water away to make it wetter and more beneficial for leaf trees.

Hello! I agree - the first day out was quite successful. If I were the landowner I would be pleased.
If you are able, it will be very interesting to watch this forest evolve over time. Each of the plugs you create will result in a vernal pool during the wet season. There are many forest dwelling creatures that rely on vernal pools for breeding and habitat.
Your use of the available material to restore the natural look of the plugs is quite successful. I also like how you are making an effort to fill the hand dug ditch as you pass through the forest.
100 + plugs will completely change this forest. 😊👍
Hello old friend! :D I hope everything is good, have not heard from you in a while. I have missed your comments and our conversation about my projects! :D
I am still not sure how to document this project, filming the same process over and over does not seem to appeal a lot of viewers, but at the same time I´d like to document everything so the costumer can see how everything is done. And I myself find it super relaxing to watch these type of videos :)
I will be back here to document the progress, I want to check back before winter hits and during spring time. It is not even an hours car ride to this nature reserve so I will be back! :)

The follow-ups through the seasons will be great. Toward the end of the first rainy season will be the big reveal!

Min vän råkade ut för en hemsk olycka i denna maskinen i somras under våtmarksarbete, se till att någon vet vart du är och saknar dig ifall du drabbas av olycka och ej kan larma själv! 🫣
Men fy! Vad är största risken? Fallande träd?
För mig här skulle jag tro att det är fallande träd/spända träd, något man spänner upp som en pilbåge bakom någon stubbe typ som man ej lagt märke till och smackar till hytten.
Han som förolyckades var ute på stockmattor, vid ett lyft av stockmatta och lägga på andra sidan maskin (högt lyft pga sly) så gled stockmattan ur skopan och in i hytten. Ska nog berätta om det i kommande video. Kan vara bra att vara medveten om vad som kan hända! Jag har inför detta jobb sett till att ha en smartwatch för att kunna larma själv även om jag ej kommer åt mobilen.
Annars brukar folk försöka ha kontakt vid förutbestämda tider vid ensamarbete. Alltid svårt liksom =( Man är samtidigt glad bara det finns täckning för mobilen ute i vissa skogar
. Har hört att det ska finnas appar som är som något larm man ska verifiera med jämna mellanrum att allt är ok annars larmas kollegor/räddningstjänst.
Väldigt tänkvärt. Många risker är svåra att föreställa sig innan olyckan är framme!
