Incredible insights; very useful! I loved the Greek translation of the description of manna. I am truly grateful that you are both willing to share your scholarship (yes, please "geek out!") I appreciate your recommendations of outside reading.
Sure curiouse how the Lord will abundantly to the point of being absurd bless us like the ancient Israelites in our coming days of tribulation. Thought came from hearing about the quail. Thanks for all you guys do!
"Who can count the dust of Jacob?" The first thing that came to mind was that Jacobs posterity (he is now looking upon them) is that as he sees this tremendous group, the covenant blessing of posterity, that the dust particles are "without number" even as promised by God.
This is probably just my crazy insight (disclaimer) but I can see a strong parallel with the story of the fiery serpents to our day. Many in this day have been bitten by a fiery serpent. It says in the scriptures "the Lord sent them" which seems a strange thing for a loving Father to do, unless he knew it was ultimately for our spiritual good to be bitten. Because then, if we would look to Him for healing, we would be humbled as a people on a wide-spread, grand scale by the injuries and side effects of the bite. As I've read disquieting articles on some of the havoc we're still yet to see on the immune systems of "bitten" individuals, I think we will see the modern day parallel of this story play out. I pray we will respond with faith in our prophet and in the Savior, to look to Him and live.
I have heard that Joseph Smith translated Numbers 22:20 to read: "And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, if the men come to call thee, rise up if thou wilt, and go with them..." Is this so? And if it is so, is there a source?
but remember Israel as in the Jews didn't like the Samaritans probably first. We also see that in scripture. It was interesting they didn't even cover half of this is our Sunday school class. Thanks
This is an amazing podcast, thank you you have literally changed my life and maybe Kingdom
I so enjoy starting my week with your teachings. The co- teaching is wonderfully inspired. Thank you.
Thanks for listening and all the kind words!
I love the symbolism portrayed in the mana, coming into the presence of God. This was treated in such a delicate manner. I love it.
Thank you for sharing this week lesson great job 👍.

In a way, so many members of the Church could say that they have been blessed abundantly. I am sure answers vary, but collectively, we are so blessed.
I'm terrified about the coming tribulation.
I wonder if, by sending so much quail, the Lord was using a teaching strategy known in today’s learning sciences as “saturation.”
Well done,, I really enjoy your perspectives and effort to teach us!
