We have technologies unimaginable in the late 70s (me watching this video on my phone over the internet) but we still dream of creating lightsabers. It really goes to show the impact Star Wars had and still has on multiple generations.
Really cool! This is as close as anyone has ever gotten, or probably will get for a while, to making a real lightsaber.

It's not the best it can get, but it's still the closest to date (as I'm aware) some have tried building super thin and long reading flamethrowers using various coloured flames, while others have just tried giant lasers. This is by far the closest we have to an actual light sabre.

He put some rubbing alcohol on his thermal glove, which would ignite instantly, but burn at a low enough temperature as to not burn his hand through the thermal glove. The fire probably isn't put out by his blowing on it, but by the fact that the rubbing alcohol ran out.

K 1500 it is very expensive yes. We have tons of overhead unlike a lot of channels, and we've expanded our team to grow the business, not line our pockets :)

Do realize that a 'lightsaber' could certainly have use when cutting through debris, or wreckage of accidents, and could save lives.
After all, melting takes a fuckton less time than cutting.
Only then do you run the risk of injuring further who may be stuck under the debris. But as for accidents yes because you can see better through what you are cutting.

They would have to find a way to make it a lot hotter than 2500 degrees. A lightsaber as depicted in Star Wars that can cut limbs off and cut through steel with one quick swipe would need to be extremely extremely hot.

Razan Ar it's such a stupid meme. In an open field without any wind, jet fuel won't reach high temperatures. But like charcoal in a forge, given enough oxygen and pressure it will most definitely reach temperatures to easily melt steel beams. Not to mention it wouldn't have to melt steel beams in the 9/11 situation, raising the temperature alone is enough to weaken it to collapse under the weight of the building.

Actually the blade looks more yellow than red in the Obi Wan scene, so the blade colour would match the one used by the Jedi Guardians who had the job to protect planets or even systems in any kind of way and one of they'r specialities was to infiltrate literally unseen.
The Obi Wan here is also infiltrating, but probably not that unseen as expected 😅
