I'm currently teaching myself how to code and I totally agree that practicing with a tutorial and then implementing the lesson in my own personal project is the best way to go.
Cool video! As someone that has been watching your video, since high school, you inspired me to apply to ucr. Now, as ucr student, you have inspired me to dive deeper into coding.
Yeah, many people prefer the text based courses much more. I agree with you the practice after each section is definitely a key step for both video or text based learning.
It's because its the most popular coding field right now, its also the easiest to learn and the most in demand. But yea to be honest I kind of had enough of wev dev for now the field is too oversaturated so im learning mobile development now.
Hey Will , you're making great videos ! I was wondering if I could help you with Seo Optimisation & Keyword Research which would help your video to reach your wider audience . Pls let me know what you think ?
Appreciate the feedback, for me I just really didn’t enjoy the course. I definitely see why it is recommended by many on UA-cam though, Malan is a great instructor.
ya everybody have different syle of learing but everyone should give it a try clears the basics really well will you give it a retry when you will have time me be for some people in the beggining it can be a littel overwellmign specially who are not that much tech sabby not judging you btw but ya must give it a retry @@WillWang

i know this is you, and everyone has their own way, but I would like to know, how much time did you take to become a decent employable programmer ? thanks. and ty for your video.
Hey! When I was first started, I coded every morning for 3-4 hours and worked on the business at night. I would say it took me around 4 months- 6 months to be decently comfortable.
Questions 1. How do you remember all of this? 2. Do you need inspect element to be able to code? 3. How long did it take you to learn all of this? 4. Can you make a tutorial video for JavaScript?
Of course! 1. Each course takes a while to finish and I wrote down the steps while I was learning to code. 2. I am confused about this question, can you elaborate? 3. This took me about 6 months 4. If the interest is there, I would be happy to make a basic overview video :)

I will always recommend the odin project. It is the perfect combination. Literally from 0 to full stack.
Agree with you, Amazing course, recommend Odin for starters and Full Stack Open for React. Video courses just worked well for me.

Thank you so much! This meant a lot to me. More content coming soon, trying to be as consistent as possible. :)
thank you for the video! it was well produced and really I think you showed us the viewer your method to being self taught... I appreciate it!💻
No problem! Best of luck with your coding journey, happy to answer any other questions you have. :)

So informative! Thanks for drawing out this detailed guideline. This will make my learning process so much easier
Glad it was helpful!
Great video Will 👍🏻
Thank you!
It was super helpful to get an idea of where to start! Thank you :)
Glad the video was helpful! Here to help if you have other questions.
Be naturally smart. In reality most people won’t do it cuz they don’t really want to and aren’t smart enough to have a curiosity to learn it
The discipline part is definitely the hardest. Especially in the beginning.
Personally I found following a book to the most effective as it had tasks at the end of each chapter to practice what you'd learned

Great work!!!
Thank you :)
This is so helpful man ❤
Love to hear that! Glad it was helpful 😊😊
Why every youtuber suggested is a web dev 😢 it's hard to find something else, but props to you for that video, it's very informative 😊
I am glad you enjoyed the video! What part of coding are you into/looking to get into? Currently doing web dev, but going to dabble into some Python

@@WillWang I'm torned between CyberSecurity or DevOps, which require vastly different skills and programming langages haha!

Is udemy free bro?
You have to pay for the course, but usually they offer massive discounts. Costs between $15-35 usually
🔥📈
Thank you!

can build a startup but can’t build with Steve
Absolute nonsense 😂
It’s not important anymore? There is no solid future for coders
Why would you say that?
failure ratio of self taught software engineers is 99%
It definitely is high, but no 99%, know plenty self taught Software Engineers
