Simple, not enough competing nations even though it is a very worthy Olympic sport.
They should move the start back. Let them have more speed in the first turn. That would give the outside guy a better chance too.

Glad they excluded that #1 rider guy who very unsportingly shoved that other guy off the track, what a total jerk move he made there. I know it's supposed to be contact racing, but he should get a hefty ban for that.
The guy that fall off hit a rut or something as well. You don't normal fall like that from just being hit
