I quite like this format. His shop is clean, organized and I can tell he’s methodical about his work. Plenty of bros out there making terrible videos with derp-dialog and misleading info.
yo. thanks for this. On the compression valve, above the check plate I wasn't sure whether to reuse the old spring, sleeve and cup washer or use the included sleeve-washer (black top-hat looking spacer) included in the kit. Its very clear in your video you used what's in the kit. I'd like twice if I could. Cheers mate.
How come you put the valves and free piston and tightened it all up without bleeding the air out the cartridge? Thats surly going to cause issues and wont fully return the damping rod on the rebound stroke in my experience
thanks for the video - I kinda like the lack of verbal - lets me concentrate on the actions. There is a time for lots of explanation, and a time for a little explanation, but this was very cool too - thank you for sharing
Do you find much performance gain in the valves themselves vs just a shim tune? I’ve heard you’re mostly paying for the customized shim stack. Just curious, because I’m considering getting a set for my Beta 200-race KYBs for hard enduro and single track.
Thats a good question. It’s suppose to increase oil flow which allows more tune ability in the stack. I will say anytime I’ve used them it made a massive improvement over stock. But a good shim stack with stock piston is also a good improvement. The gold looks pretty trick though. And Race Tech has probably done more R&D than your local tuner. I do think they are worth the money but they’re not the only option.
How many shim stack options do they give you?....I know you just punch in your weight, ability, etc....was just curious if thry give you a few different or just one I stuck in an ohlins cartridge set that was pretty sweet along with their shock....revolving is lil more involved but not too bad.... Also how did it feel?, yamahas are pretty good from factory
@@kirkdunn1379 they just give you the one shim stack layout, but they’ve been pretty good in my experience! Giving a few options would be cool. The job isn’t too bad as long as you follow the instructions and have good attention to detail. In my bike they feel great! KYB suspension is awesome from the factory but it can always be better. Having a bike properly setup for your size/riding style is 🔥🔥
Another "Hey look at me!" video with no useful information. Please stop clogging up UA-cam with this garbage.
Do you need some help fixing your bike? 😅

@@seawardmoto Love the video man. Clean and simple without any garbage audio where you can't hear the useful information anyway !!
Nice video. I like everything about it. Sometimes nothing needs to be said.
Appreciate it! Thanks bro 🙏

These forks now have 20+ hours on them and still feel fantastic. Glad I could help! lol.
That fork cap tool is slick. 🇺🇸👍
It is! Motion Pro makes some of the coolest tools in the game.

Figured the video was long enough so I edited some parts out. I bled the cartridge before putting it back together lol. Good eye though!
Its like ASMR for dirt bikers!!
The vibe I was going for 🙏
Cool video man, nice view of your shop 👌
Thanks bro 🙏

Was this gold valves added to KYB?
That is exactly what this is.
