In regards to your Life Chat stuff: it is good to be able to express these sort of things! And you do have very practical questions that need to be answered; I wonder can your doctor refer an occupational therapist (that’s what they are called here, anyhow) to help you with the everyday life questions. Like, for example, one came here to our house to help Tom find *practical* solutions to things- like how he often has problems gripping/ holding certain things with his hands, so she showed him other ways of doing so & also recommended things like special forks & spoons that are made for folks who have such issues. *And* that kind of therapist also is trained in helping with the emotional & mental things that accompany severe illness/disability. I hope you can get your questions answered soon! Thank goodness for your wonderful family- and also I think you are doing a really good job of coping with it all; that doesn’t mean you don’t have real, and awful, struggles-but you are getting through it, able to talk about it, and are doing what you can to take care of yourself & loving those around you. I bet your kids are such great & caring helpers because you and your husband have been good examples! Hugs to you all! xx
Aww thank you so much for you supportive words🥰. I have been able to see a physiotherapist who has helped me with various aids and techniques and it has helped me a lot🙂. I have to find a therapist myself and the queue there is about 2 years😅. I think talking about it makes it easier but it has taken time to get to this point of opening up. I think a lot is about it becoming so real then. I don't know what I would do without my family I am so proud of them all what a team we are❤. Then all of you who are there as support and cheer for it warms so much❤. Much love to you and Tom and your dogs❤

Stay strong, lean on your loved ones...they sound amazing and supportive. Keep talking and ask all the questions, perhaps keep a journal. Keep crafting...your knits are amazing, so are your spinning & sewing❤ Love your podcast, sending you all the good vibes.
Aww thank you ❤️ a journal is a really good idea😍 thank you for the tips ❤️
Hi Emilia! Thought I’d drop this comment in cuz at 16:02 in you are talking about liking yellows& orange, but not liking to wear them. Here’s an idea, maybe you would enjoy having them in leggings? I’m going to be casting on some- with yellows 😀- in a few weeks, and Nicole of Thyme Weaver is going to have a little KAL for (any pattern) knitted pants- I think it is going to be called the #KnitPantsKAL. Running til Summer Solstice. I’m doing a toddler size of her own pattern now, the Lightning Thigh Goat Pants (lol, there is a fun reason for the name, they don’t look like goat legs 😂) and then I’ll do my size after. Just thought I’d mention it 💛
Oh it sounds so fun😍. I'm in.🤗 Yes, the idea of yellow leggings is great. Here it will be yellow leggings😁😁
Hi Emilia. Thanks for your lovely video today. I think you are so brave to bare your soul and talk about your problems with us. It is good to share, and I think particularly for others who live with chronic pain, to hear that they are not alone. I do so hope your neurostimulation surgery works for you, and that you get respite from the pain and better quality sleep going forward. Keep us up to date with your progress as and when you can. Sending you thought waves for strength. Hugs from Cheshire, England. X
Aww thank you so much for you warming words🥰 I will keep you updated☺ I think you are absolutly right that it's good to share this heavy thing to💖
Awwww I so wish I could give you a giant hug right now Emilia!! ❤️ You are such an amazing person, even when you don't feel strong you truly are! There is absolutely no shame in asking for help when you need it and clearly you have a wonderfully supportive family to back you up and surround you with love 💕 I don't speak of it openly on my podcast out of respect for his privacy, but my partner suffers from debilitating chronic pain and chronic fatigue (it's at the point where most days he's in bed for 18 hours now). Although I will never truly understand what he's going through I am certainly familiar with how difficult it has been for him, once being so independent and self-sufficient, to have to ask for help. But that's what partners are there for--through good and bad, sickness and health--to be there for the ones we love and help in whatever ways we can and it certainly sounds like you have that in your husband ❤️ I truly hope your nerve surgery is successful in alleviating your pain and results in a wonderful trickle-down effect of requiring less meds, getting more sleep, less fatigue and more energy. Thanks for keeping things real and bravely discussing the difficult times along with the good 🤗💞
Oh thank you so much, your words warm my heart I promise❤️. I admire you so much who stand by our side day in and day out, because it can't be easy living with us. You if any are strong❤️. I know so many times my husband has felt totally empty because he feels like he can't help me with the pain and such😔. But just that you are there means everything💞. I hope that your partner can get some good help against both the pain and the fatigue and that you also have someone who can support you through it all💞. All my love to you💞💞💕
Kia Ora from New Zealand. I really enjoyed your podcast, this is the first one of yours that I have seen. You explain things very well and I am going to look for and watch your other episodes and projects on Instagram too. Thank you for your honest chat about how difficult life is at the moment. I understand your pain at not being able to meet your children's needs. It breaks your mother heart. Once you can hold her again your little one will heal from the confusion of why can't mum hug me etc. Maybe you can create a new connection by laying heads on the same pillow and whispering to each other....or something similar. Between you and your wonderful family you will get through this very difficult time. I pray that everything will improve immensely for you all. Much love, Tracey.
Hey Tracey sorry for a very late reply. My phone has decided that notifications are highly overrated😅. Thank you for all your wonderful words and Im so happy you are here❤️. I really love your tips for my little one. I will try that out❤️ I hope you are doing fine?❤️
So sorry to hear about your health struggles! I hope it all somehow falls into place and the surgery helps with your pain! It sounds like your family is such a wonderful support for you! ❤️
In regards to knitting chat, Supersoft is such a tricky yarn and it's annoying to keep remembering that we have to knit the garments bigger. I have a sweater quantity in my stash and I want to use it soon, but I think I'm going to wash it before I start knitting with it. It will also help with the experience of knitting, as I don't like the feel of those spinning oils.
LYS is such a lovely cardigan! I knitted it about two years ago but had to frog because it ended up being way too small. I've always wanted to make it again, but just never got round to casting on.
I'm very curious about your dress, it looks like a very interesting pattern! I knitted a dress before but it was in a DK cotton yarn which was quite heavy, so the dress stretched out a bit. If I knit a dress again, I'd definitely use a very light yarn so the big amount of fabric doesn't pull it down.
Aww thank you so much Magda❤. YES supersoft is very tricky and I have noticed that usually the darker colors shrinks more than the light ones😅. I think it's a very smart idea to wash it before and release all that energy in the yarn and get rid of the oil because it's horrible. It takes weeks to get it off your fingers😅. Yes LYS Is really beautiful but it's funny that you mention that it was to small because when I did my gauge swatch I come to the exact same that if I would have chosen the size that I should have I would have a very tight waisted top🤣🤣. Is it just us or is there something wrong here with the pattern maybe🤔, Because I had to go up two sizes and then I was spot on the gauge strangely enough😅
Your Yell cardigan is amazing and it is a shame that the sleeve is not right (yet!) - I think you are right to undo it and reknit it, as you have put so much work into the cardigan, that you cannot just leave it. I am sorry you are having so many health problems - nerve pain is one of the worst things as it does not respond well to just taking a pain killer. I really hope your surgery comes soon and that it relieves your pain. It sounds as though you have a very strong supportive family around you, and I am sure they will take care of your children while you recover from the operation. Take care, stay strong, and concentrate on all the good, positive things that make you happy.
Aww thank you🥰. Yes nerve pain is really a tricky one. Now I've actually ripped out the sleeve now and washed the yarn before so now I know it won't shrink any more now it's just a matter of starting again which is the problem😅. I hope you have a wonderful day❤
Hello Emilia,
Maybe an Osteopath could help with your issues.
I cross fingers that you get better.
Uschi
PS: Your making is gorgeus
Hey🥰thank you so much 🥰 I have thought about an Osteopath many times, but everyone I have found here in Sweden is so far away from where I live. But it is still in my mind, have never been to an Osteopath myself but know a few who have received very good help from one.😀
@@emilionstyle Hey,
I would really give it a try. A good one sometimes is hard to find but worth trying.
Good luck🍀
