Nice coverage and it's going to be a great finish for Charlie! Enjoyed watching Conrad peel to the J3, wrestling with the giant sail snake while skimming the ocean one gets a sense of the hard work all these sailors are doing to keep their boats moving at warp speed.
One more again a big Thank you for the latent report, great! 👍👏👑 I really will miss it. Take care! Sunnycold greetings from Eckernförde / Schleswig-Holstein , Germany ❄️❄️🌞🌞😊👩🦳
Thanks for the great updates! Just one comment: could you also add a ranking of the daggerboard boats? We just hear that Jean is leading, but what is with the others? Rgds,
As the daggerboard boats come closer to the finish yes, I will be talking about them more. There isn't a separate 'class' as such for them, but they are distinguished in the ranking at www.vendeeglobe.org/en/ranking by not having the little red foil 'tick' beside them.
The French language reports would disagree. Dalin is pronounced DalAN, to rhyme with Alain. I got pulled up by a French friend for mispronouncing the word 'copin' which means buddy or chum. This too is correctly pronounced copAN. The feminine version 'copine' is pronounced as it looks. So by comparison, Charlie would need an e on the end of his name to make your current pronunciation correct. Your reports are valuable and greatly appreciated btw. Sorry to carp!
I miss the Globe Vendee where technology was minimal and the human factor was much more present Now it seems like a walk in the park compared to the others But they are safer, it seems like a walk in the park with interviews to satisfy the sponsors Very disappointed
There is always a strong appreciation for those who came before and completed the round with no AIS or Starlink or any foils. However, it's pointless to resist progress here.. these guys have been averaging 20kn of speed, how can you not need more technology with such high speeds? Or do you mean that you want the boats to stay slow? Haha Sorry I get the thing with being constantly connected, it's not really a psychological test of alone time anymore, but from my side I love that I can see all that stuff without having to do a Vendee Globe myself
excellent explanation of work involved/sail change procedure by Conrad at 4:00 minutes in. Thank you Conrad and congrats Charlie!
I'm gonna miss these. Thanks for doing thel !
What else to say . . 🎉 congratulations Charlie. An outstanding achievement. Something to cherish.
Well done Charlie! Such a competitive race. Really well dome, bravo!
Still a little way to go, so finger crossed it all goes smoothly!
@@Sail-World To be where he is at the end of so many lead changes, and a record in hand. Truely inspiring.

It feels like just a moment ago they started. Charlie is quite the beast!
Thank you for sharing. What a race !!!
What a great race, congrats to all the skippers.
Well done Charlie and Boris you made me laugh. Hope that breeze strengthens for you to try and close on the miles you lost yesterday. Greg 🇬🇧

Thank you! The reports will be continuing for some time yet, and I'll be continuing with much more from other sailing events!
Love it ❤️
I always think of Vibrac paprec's problems in the last stretch, and all the problems with fishing nets, other boats.... May Dalin arrive unimpeded

If Seb had lost the other foil, would his race have been very different?
Now that it seems Charlie Dalin is going to win, perhaps you could try to pronounce his name correctly please!
As far as I'm aware, and having listened to many others pronouncing his name, I believe I am pronouncing it correctly now.
