After a cozy night in Campbeltown, we eagerly set sail to conquer the notorious Mull of Kintyre. Read on for more information and useful links...
Blessed with excellent weather, the Mull treated us kindly, making the journey a breeze 😁 Throughout the day, we navigated under engine power, ultimately arriving at Port Ellen, Islay, bathed in the warm glow of beautiful sunshine.
As we docked in the marina, a unique sense of exclusivity enveloped us-we were the sole boat in the harbour, proudly claiming the title of the first official visitor of the year! 👍 ⛵🌞

The website says it is not open until the 15th of April. However, Iain, the extremely nice harbourmaster, says it is actually open from the 1st of April.
The facilities are fantastic and the island is beautiful. It is well worth a visit.
There are plenty of distilleries to visit for the whisky drinkers among you 😁

Another super video from you both. It looks lovely . What about the lumpy bit ! Good to actually see the facilities the marina offers ,the prices too. It will be a quiet night in the marina for you if you are the only boat in the marina. The only sound will be the kettle whistling ready for another cup tea . Enjoy !!

Hi John and Yvonne. Thanks for your comment. We use Samsung Galaxy A12 phone to record video and pictures. Sound is via the headset mic stuffed into a mini foam roller to reduce wind noise 🤣🤣Super high tech!

Hi Olive. We were in Oban on a mooring ball. Winds were over 40 knots at times. It was pretty wild. Not much sleep that night 😂
