This game was in development for so long and despite pleas to do so they never did a pass on the gunplay, leaving it feeling cheap and unfinished. Hopefully now that it’s in EA more people will take notice of it and they’ll update the gunplay to feel more solid
Yeah, some of these models look straight out of Roblox and the animation errors make me think of a cheap mod for another tactical FPS.
And those lights, my god…
I doubt it. If they haven’t fixed bugs from months and months before public EA I don’t think they’re really taking the game very far before dipping out

@@DSPsWifesBf Left 4 Dead 2 is still very good. If you want something singleplayer then you could try some of the better Half-Life 2 mods, or the base game itself. For PVP, Jabroni Brawl Episode 3 is free now and forever, but you should probably get some friends together for it as the servers aren’t the most active.

Why are game devs so allergic to using loud and punchy gunfire sounds? Helldivers 2 did a great job all the guns in that game sound loud and mean when you can hear them. I swear ever since the original MW2 game devs thought it the best game design was making all the guns sound like airsoft toys
There’s all the possibility in the world that these devs have no clue what real guns sound like.

He’s already ditched his official Direct Contact UA-cam channel with over 8000 subscribers and started a brand new one called Mountain 81 with 34 subscribers and 3 newer videos. The Discord changed name, the Dev’s personal Discord name changed and so did some of the moderators. The tutorial videos were wiped. SteamDB shows 24 hr average of 4 players. Steam forum is dead due to bans. Discord lost 600 members in the past 10 days. Mostly negative reviews even after recent sale and supposedly 31 updates. I think the writing is on the wall.
the pistol firing animations have a weird wrist wiggle after the fact that is way too noticable on single shots. the mp7 is missing geometry on the front grip and you can see the world through it. the p90 and super v have clipping and incorrect hand positioning on the magazine. bk416 seems to be using the mcx's animations for it's magazine change, but the player hands are doing something completely different, likely a placeholder atm. the eye relief on the svd scope is noticably lower poly than anything else.
What is this game exactly? It shares at least a passing resemblance to Ground Branch or something of the like, just a lot cheaper.

Hell nah, in no way can it compare to ground branch. Not even can it compare to zero hour which costs half as much as this game.

It’s not even close in what it’s supposed to be let alone Ground Branch, even moreso because it’s a buggy unfinished mess that needed at least another year of development before releasing into public EA, there’s still major bugs now that we’re a thing months and months before public release

1) Shooting noises seem too silent and "comfortable".
2) Some reloading noises seem like pure studio recordings (too loud and clean to feel realistic).
3) Few guns (especialy the shotgun) lack real if any recoil.
4) Hand animations seem unnatural, robotic, or clipping through the guns model.
5) WHO IN THE NAME OF *JESUS* RELOADS GRENADE LAUNCHER LIKE THIS?!?!?

You can only load it by going with or against movement of the clock.
Only madmen or shellshocker's load it randomly like that.

@@GRY2048 Neither did I, that’s why I changed my initial comment from saying this looks like “a little cheaper” to “a lot cheaper” version of Ground Branch.
they're just using a single smoothing group for the surface normals in the back of it. It would have been better to split the surface normals between the side of the slide/grip and back of the gun, if not outright hand tweak them instead of just averaging them across the whole surface.
It's probably been said enough at this point, but that Markman Rifle is NO MK18 :P
Is anyone gonna mention the fact that the R700 is just an AWM with what looks like a MSR bolt?

I do like these animations. they are a little robotic, but they keep the tactical styling without immediately going down the MW2019 animation route. I like it when games do that.

@@phulam3458They Made such good animations that got such high praise that now every developer wants to try and copy them. Payday, battlefield, and basically any game that released after MW2019 has 2019 esq. animations even if they never did it or if it doesn’t fit the tone of the game. At this point it’s good if a game DOESNT have 2019-like animations
Looks like game from 2007.
The sound design on the some of the guns is solid, but the animations and that lousy orange glare passing for muzzle flash is extremely lackluster.

Bruh, the way the M72 and RPG fires looks like it has absolutely no recoil and fires like a grenade launcher, what a joke of an asset flipped game
They aren't really supposed to have very much recoil, no? Most of the force produced by the rocket pushes it forward, and the rest just goes straight out the back, though correct me if I'm wrong
@@zer0synd1cate It’s not even just that, it literally looks like a grenade launcher when it fires, it doesn’t seem very powerful to fire. The sound isn’t all that great, there isn’t too much screen shake, it just doesn’t feel like it would cause damage.
Firing Sounds ripped directly from MW2019 and Insurgency: Sandstorm. Some foley sounds ripped from Escape From Tarkov. Great.

@@epj0211 I can't speak for the other examples off the top of my head, but I know for a fact that the reload sound for the RPG-7 is DIRECTLY ripped from Battlefield 3-4, just *ever* so slightly sped up
