The regular kaiju are dangerous enough but that Honju looks terrifying, weird combo of mushroom/animal/alien.
The new recruits actually impressing the veterans is a nice touch and it's not just Shinomiya who's shining.
Kafka deciding to help his team mates by finding the core of the kaiju, based on his years of clean up, was really satisfying to see.
Seeing the captain obliterate that Honju with the rifle - and finding out she's at 96% unleashed combat power - chills!
