If I had a nickel for every time I saw a cool GMTK 2022 Game Jam game featuring dice that became a full Steam release, I would have 2 nickels. Not a lot but cool to see GMTK Jam projects.
@nocapsbb The other I know of is Slice And Dice. Simple turned based RPG where your party's and enemies' actions are tied to dice rolls. You get to modify them as you go, and there's a surprising amount of content you unlock. Very simple game overall, but a solidly designed core game loop imo. I'm sure there are more games that fit this general category, but I'm not sure if they ever released on Steam specifically. You can probably find a list somewhere on the GMTK Game Jam website alongside highlights of some of the bigger games that released.
Immediately downloaded the Metro Gravity demo - looks sick. I also tried out the "Locator" demo recently - it's a mix of Geoguessr and Obra Dinn detective work. And it was one of the best demo's I've tried in recent memory!
The little witch in metro gravity is shurely a polygon cutey XD. Death howls style is immensely in my alley with the pixelatet creepy woods asteetic. Wishing you a lot of fun finishing your coming games. I also LOVE the vibe of skate story but i might pass because the controlls sound hardcore.
Keep doing these plz :) they're my favourite indiegame content on ytb atm. Great work Also, make these 35 minutes long maybe :) ? "bonus also" : if i buy you and a friend "Below" would you do a deep dive on it? BELOW is a solitary journey through the haunted depths of a forbidden isle. Explore. Survive. Discover. its Zelda but Tunic but for "adults" and also deaths door :) (play on "explore" not "survive".). its an incredible game and still one of my favourites and i'd love to hear your take/ deepdive on it.
Can very warmly recommend the demos for Magenta Horizon: Neverending Harvest, Decline's Drops, Kraino Rebirth and My Familiar. Magenta Horizon is a phenomenon of an action game but is sadly very much going under the radar despite having been out for a month or two. Decline's Drops is doing better, so i want to emphasize MH but all of them are deserving of more attention. The entire Act 1 of 3 is available as MH's demo. it gets quite tough and also set very colorful, in a near psychedelic, alien interpretation of the afterlife. it's genuiinely a treat of high action gameplay fans.
Hi nocaps. Excellent work you are doing showing these indie games!!! I would like to recommend you these two i have found: "Star Garden" and "The tower of tears" i think these would be your style.
check out dewdrop dynasty. sadly the demo is gone but it will release Q2 of 2025! its a adventure platformer inspired by paper Mario, classic zelda and cavestory!!!

I love the art style of Nowhere Manor!
the dev, Monaramis, has a website with so much more incredible art from the same universe
