The first time I have seen this home video and although I am now in my 70th year and had finished university in 1977, participated in the presentation of colours to our local TA Battalion, 2 MERCIAN by the Queen, and then joined the regular army in September that year, this has brought back so many happy memories of a town that I grew up in and helped to shape me as the person I am now. Of course time does not stand still and the town has changed in the years since.
Fantastic look into the past..I'm a Stourpudlian born and bred on the Walshes but living in exile in Bewdley...love the bit about the Tontine and seeing old Sid Fish brought so many memories..I'm fillin up

Great recording of a snippet in time. I appear in the Burlish Close part as one of the kids in the lineup. I had no recollection of it being filmed.
