As usual a joy to listen to the master of the tenorsax. Dexter has completely his own style which nobody can deney. He was a good a friend and allways an inspiration to be with.

While in Manhattan, I made it a point to take the A train. I was renting a cheap room on 36 & 8th ave. While speeding along to 125th & Lenox, I thought of this tune as i watched the tracks disappear beneath the train. Then we pulled into Harlem. I made this trip every day of a couple of months and thought of this tune each time.

On my first visit to New York in 1962 I also climbed abord the A train and and when I went up the subway stairs there was the Apollo theatre and next door was Small's Paradise.
