That is awesome. My mother-in-law would die for this.
Sweet!
Blueberry is amazing
I was wondering if there was an approved recipe for blueberry floating around lol
Love the preservation of the colour by the lemon, it pops! Once strawberry season rolls in, I will have to try! Thanks for posting!
We will, without a doubt try this soon! You mentioned blueberry lemonade concentrate and the first thing I thought of was that simply running it through the blender (any kind of berry, really) would potentially leave floaties in the lemonade that might be off-putting to some folks (like the ones who don't like pulp in their organge juice) and I think I will try this with thawed frozen fruit run through a food mill/sauce master to make the pulpy bits as small as possible and remove any hard bits. But also I thought of watermelon lemonade and am about to go search for a cannable concentrate using watermelon because that's one of my family's favorite treats in the mid-to-late summer and wouldn't it be AWESOME to have some of that on the shelf? Adding sparkling water to the concentrate sounds like a perfect soda replacer that is better in every possible way (in my opinion). Thanks so much for giving me ideas!
I really do think I am going to call my extension office and ask about the swapping of fruits. I did message the Ball company yesterday to ask. Still waiting to hear back from them though.
I'm definitely doing this!!
Tried this recipe recently and used it to mix with selzer...it is wonderful! So refreshing.
This recipe looks delicious, I would totally add some to sparkling water as a way to help drink more water. Probably not 1:1 too (too sweet). I appreciate you highlighting the difference in the recipe of the lemon juice on the website vs the cookbook as well as calling out good canning practices! Blueberry lemonade would be amazing for sure. 💚🍓🥤🍋💚
1:1 is definitely too sweet for me lol. I emailed Ball and they said there was no approved recipe by them for blueberry lemonade and they suggested I call my local extension office so that’s what I’m gonna do next.
Old Mennonite trick... drop a small tab of butter into your strawberries and the foam will go away on its own! No skimming necessary. :)
Thank you. I have done that before with jam, my brain just thought it might be weird in a drink? LOL Probably not but I am an overthinker lol. 😂
@@letssummondinner Just a tiny bit might do the trick without changing the taste (and definitely unsalted).
Could you make this with Splenda
Honestly, I don’t think so. That being said I know there are a lot of low sugar options circulating the internet. I don’t have a lot of experience with the lower sugar recipes, but I don’t think there are any approved recipes with sugar substitutes.
So can you tell me how I'd turn this into lemonade how much water do you mix to say have a gallon? Or pitcher so what half a gallon?
The book just says mix 1:1. In my brain that seems so excessively sweet. I think you would just need to add some water and taste it. See what your preference is. I don’t like super sweet drinks so a glass of sparkling water with a couple spoon fulls is perfect for me. You might enjoy it super sweet though.
I feel so dumb hahahhaa it was in your description my bad LOL mom brain breakfast prep for 3 days haha! Yea that's old sweet I have 4 girls and I wouldn't give them a one to one I'm with ya there thanks girl!! 🥰🥰🥰
Odly** sweet
@@patriciaellen09 No biggie, we all have those days lol. I hope the kiddos like it!
