Happy to have found your channel! Fellow Southerner here (New Orleans) and SO SO hype to see Americans resuming travelling to Ukraine. How did you like the food? Those sandwiches looked AMAZING! But what can you expext from people who specialize in smoked meat and sausage LOL?

That train is awesome! Does it have a cafe car? You're table looks like a toilet seat cover because of the shape. 😂 Thanks, Davion, an exceptional video once again! Can't wait for the next one!❤📣📣👍🚆
It was comfy, but I will say.. You could end up on one of the older trains that is not updated like the one I was on. Just a fair warning. When we traveled back to lviv, we were on one of the older trains, still comfortable but not as modern. If you want to come see the country, just make sure you do your research and follow Ukrainian social media channels. So you know where to go, and how to be as safe as you can. Ukrainian people are happy to see people coming to see their coutnry, as long as they are respectful.
In Russia in very good train culture so it's very nice to travel in sleeping train of course there some similarities in Ukraine also glad to like this experience to. I definitely for Ukraine in this situation there are my brother's even i am russian.
It's not an "upgraded" train, it's just 1st class (so called "СВ" compartment). These types are expensive, and not every train offers them. Absolutely majority of people travel in 2nd and 3rd class. Me personally when I'm alone, travel in 3rd, since it has the best value for money.
Soon the Russians will start firing missiles at Ukraine's energy system again. This will probably start when the weather gets cold enough. But so far it’s pretty quiet in Ukraine, except for the border regions (and Odessa. The ports are heavily shelled). Russia is probably stockpiling missiles.
Really nice! Well those trains are all over the post-soviet countries, this one is a refurbished soviet train. I took one like this in Belarus and it was also cool and you could also pay with card for your tea etc Ukraine is a nice European country and I can't wait it to join the EU and get rid of the criminal russian invaders for good.
@@DavionWest you will love Belarus. Nice friendly people, feels very European but sadly they live under a terrible oppression. Hopefully they will be able to reunite with Europe too, just like Ukraine.
It's not true. Lviv railway station was built in 1903 in Austria-Hungary by Ukrainian Levinsky. During WWII it was ruined and rebuilt in 1957 in USSR. Then it was reconstructed in 2003 in Ukraine.
We happy to have you in Ukraine!
:)! I am so thankful I got to see yalls country and show the world what is going on here.
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! OUTSTANDING work answered all my questions. I'll book it for my March 2024 return to Ukraine.
I’m glad I could help 💙💛

That train looks better than the US Amtrak system !
Nah Amtrak roomettes and bedrooms are much better. They might not have the TV but they are much more comfortable

It was interesting vlog , thnx :)

How I miss these trains. In Germany, Poland... you have to sit all night. They don't even turn off the lights.
Davion, thanks for the new video! Cool t-shirt, do know what is written there?)

That's train station built in Soviet era in Soviet times railroads are very high priority in logistics. But in USA have some nice looking station too.

You tried one of my favourite chocolate! It actually a healthy choice cuz it doesn’t have any palm oil in it 💖
Wow!! I didn't even knot it was one of the healthy ones. I try to eat as healthy as I can, especially when it comes to desserts.
looks quite comfy! im tempted to visit this May but unsure if its a good idea with the war

9:53 Did I hear an air siren in the background?
You have a really good ear. Yes, the siren stopped once we left the station.
@@DavionWest Lmao I was wondering what is that sound i'm hearing in the background.
@@yianidimitriadis1356Airborne alarm siren is unfortunately very common in our country😔

Any impact from the war? Or nothing in that area?
When we went, there was no impact. But I believe that it can vary due to the war.

It was a really good train for sure :)
Would love for you to just taste simple fruits and veggies. Like Tomatoes. Or just bread. I hear they got some plastic tasting stuff in the USA
Great suggestion! I need to try that! Food in some parts of America have less flavor…. Unless you get them from a farmers market typically.
