    That was great Jon. 👍
Loved the steam train and the fair (typically British affair).
I reckon those youngsters under that tarpaulin were smoking a bit of the naughty stuff 😬

Hi Phil hope you're well and thanks for commenting. We always try and get a ride on the steam train, there's something special the noise and smell of a steam locomotive. I didn't think about the youngsters having a bit of wacky backy, I had other ideas 🤣🤫🤔🫣.
Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen

Cool little fish festival, but lovely pier- Looked after - Not like Teignmouth :( Great views as I enjoyed the pics as well. Ive finally been to the Botanical Gardens in Shaldon today! Hi Bill hope you're well and thanks for the kind comment. We love riding on the steam railway it has more character than modern railways. Many years ago we sponsored a plant on thr pier with a brass plate with our names on. Looking forward to watching the video of your trip to the botanical Gardens, thanks for the mention in your video.

I loved that train. Lucy couldn’t keep away from a gem and stone shop in Swanage where the lady serving ate her sandwiches for lunch and then we saw her eating fish and chips in the cafe half an hour later.
Just had a heart op and boy do I feel more normal now! It hurts like Gtfdfffdxdd but I’m OK. Lovely to see Swanage again. We’re going down to Sandbanks where it’s calm and flat and hopefully quiet for me. Helena thinks she might have to leave me in a chair watching her and Lucy on the beach with a telephoto lens on my camera. No chance. I’ll be running ………
Action 4 arrives on Monday. Bet it’s no better than the GoPro!

Hi Ian, sorry to here that your not feel to well.
First thing first, heart op that sound serious, glad to her that you're feeling a bit more normal, so that explains your absense on YT.
One of the Gem shops has closed down, my Mrs is very big into here Gems so we alway have to visit one of the Gem shops, I think there's 3. We love Swange we've been holidaying & visiting there the best part of 35yrs, planning to move there one day if the pensions & investments work out. The Swanage is great, we've been on all of the special trains - meals - wine tasting - Christmas specials. Sandbanks is a nice place been there many times, I thing Rick Stein has a restaurant there, probably be £100 for fish & Chips.
Looking forward to your thoughts on the Action 4, I'm still on the GP8, thinking of upgrading to the GP12.
Best wishes for a quick recovery, stay safe Jon.

Hey Jon, hope you both are well. 3 times I have tried to get to the fish festival, and 3 times I got side tracked and ended up in the pub. I did find your plaque once, took a while as lots there. So, what are the doing under the blanket? If the Guy had a smile on his face it would be obvious. Thanks for the mention, its always great to catch up with you both when your down - one day we may even get out the coffee shop and do some photography together. lol. Great photos Jon, Stay Safe.

Hi Steve hope you're well and thanks for commenting. The fish festival is OK and great if you like seafood, I did sample some of the food on offer It would be a great place for street photography or pov photography, visiting the pub is also OK, beer or seafood I think beer wins. The photos came from my gopro hero8, they were surprisingly good I thought. We always look forward and enjoy meeting up with you, as you say we might even get to do some photography one day. See you in a month or so for more coffee and a chat.
Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen

Hi Jon, Hope you are both well. lovely vlog and photos, very interesting, I didn't know they had fish festivals, Henry has crabs, made me laugh , which direction was the mic faced? as in was it a shotgun mic on top of the camera? it was rather quiet , I have a Rhode video mic and its the worst mic I have ever used, so always on the look out for a good shotgun mic for my films. I think what was happening under that blanket didn't help with the fish market 😧, when you put the go pro was strapped to your backpack, I had visions of you walking backwards 🤣The food sounded lovely but I must admit I am not a fan of seafood, probably fish cake and cod in batter is my limit. Poor steven not getting the brekky invite.

hi Keith hope you're well and thanks for commenting. The Mic i used was a BOYA BY-MM1 Pro, it's a dual capsule mic, so it has a mic either end that can be switched (Front only/rear only or front & rear) the idea being if your commentating on something in front, ambient sound will be pick up (front Mic) while commentry pick up with rear mic, or that was the plan.I'm not sure if i messed up in sound in the editing or the mic is just crap, i'm going to do more testing, if you check out Ian Craig above, he has so great tips/reviews on mics etc. I love seafood, but Karens not a fan, so it's something we don't have very offen, but there's nothing better than Cod & chips at the seaside, we had some at Finn macols in Teighmouth last year. Whatever went on under that blanket looked rather strange.
We visited Exmouth yesterday (04/08) had a great day walked all along the seafront and the town, had fish & chips, I didn't take a camera/gopro just had a nice chilled out day.
