Thank you so much for these videos I am currently looking at a 04 STI but the engine has 130,000 on it so I would need to rebuild it. This videos have been really helpful you deserve a lot more recognition for this series!
@Lonnie Brown hey I do have a question! I'm @ ~16:00 and my timing isn't lining up? The passenger side lines up but not the driver side. I shouldn't have to turn them further than the cam allows right?🙃
You need to turn them as far as they need to go to line up with the marks on the timing cover. They probably won't stay in place unless you hold them there with a wrench. There's a tool you can buy that's holds the cam gears in place. Remember to rotate them the right way. You don't want your valves hitting if you're running them both at the same time the wrong way. I have a .PDF file I can email you that covers timing belt installation

You're welcome, and thank you!
I always enjoy your super in depth content. Looks like things are coming along real good.
Thanks. I appreciate your support!
These videos are so damn helpful. Been building a sunwest core coincidentally enough and watching these while doing it! Thank you!👌
I'm glad the videos are helping you with your build. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Thanks for watching and good luck with your engine

@@lonniebrown6678 that would be great! My crank is also not at tdc. Is that okay to turn to? jvbonds5@gmail.com
I assumed that sunwest would have shipped it at tdc but idk 😐
