My young sister (21yo) was just passed away few days ago. Exactly 5 days after my birthday. This is the last song she played... She just finished her essay and thesis defence for her bachelor degree, not having graduation yet. Having her first job a month ago, just received her first salary payroll just few days before she passed away, things are just looked like to be a beginning of her happy life, but it was ended right away. Everytime I listen to this, it crush my heart. a lot.

It occurred to me back in 2019 when neotheater came out that The Good Part and Next Up Forever are two songs that give opposite perspectives of the same situation. One sings of being tired of waiting for something good to happen, and wanting to 'skip to the good part' while the other sings of knowing that once the good part comes, nothing better will come after, and so wanting to be 'next up forever' rather than just hitting their peak and then falling. Two viewpoints, two songs, both very well written!

I’m always thinking about that when I’m listening to either of those songs. Also karma and world’s smallest violin have that similarity in their theme from a different perspective.

This song holds a special place in my heart- it gives me this nostalgia feeling that isnt connected to anything, which is weird but i find myself playing this song over and over again if i can because of it. All in all, i love this song, and im glad that its getting its own music video now.

I really love this song too. I always imagined playing it in a car or cafe while it’s raining and just vibing to it. This song is just so deep and meaningful and it hits all the right things to say in such a powerful and emotional way. I have a lot of these similar thoughts in the song and it helps me cope so much. This is as good as their karma and way less sad song. :)

I am just an internet stranger so take what you want and leave the rest. You don't owe anything to anyone but yourself. If you pay attention, you're doing things for other people. One way or another, you are. I am officially old enough to finally recognize how many things I do just because of my guilt and fear. You are all that matters in your own life. You are allowed to be happy even if you don't have the things other people have. Figure out what your values are and live by them. Seriously embrace who you are and what you want. Living life intentionally is definitely a challenge but it feels so good to participate in life rather than just letting it happen.

It's catchy but I think smoking anything is wrong. Because in the long run it causes addictions and health problems. I still love people though I just don't agree with what they do. But most of their songs do have good morals and they connect with me and my life on a personal level.

This song was my anthem in the beginning of the pandemic. I was in my last semester of my bachelor's degree and was so excited to start my life and spend time with people I love. This song really makes me think about my journey to, at, and from addiction. I was brutally beaten and raped for years by my ex husband. He found me at 17 (he was 45) this is a common occurrence in the 'junkie' world of you are a woman. They get with a man with connects and he traps her with drugs and abuse... I went through more pain suffering and torment than I could even explain in words. I still have issues because of the PTSD. But if I had known back then that I would be where I am now... Clean and Serene since 6/10/17, a certified CDCA, in college to further my education by getting my bachelor's degree in psychological science, in my own home, with my two amazing beautiful children, back in my parents, brothers,( and just family in general) lives ... Healthy, happy, safe and most of all... AWAY FROM MY ABUSER! I would have gladly endured it all knowing it's lead me here! I am even thankful for my hard times because it lead me to where I am and it showed me how to be grateful of what I do have instead of hoping and bitching for more and more.
