It was then I realised the world of gold colors. And even the same karat gold can have different materials and treatments to give it different color. That is how we get rose gold and white gold and all. Seriously, we dont have a gold culture here and I kind of feel bad about it for some reason.

Means the whole chain is gold and it’s not just the surface that is gold, which is what you get with plated chains. There are also hollow chains out there means the inside of the chain is empty, therefore not solid. Not that hard to know if you know jewelry. Solid gold and pure gold mean two different things. You can have a bar of 18K gold and it’d still be called solid gold, because it’s gold all throughout, but not pure gold because it’s not 24K.
All my chains are solid 22kt from Kuwait and people automatically think it's fake because the color. I'm ok with them thinking that. Lol.
