I want to say this is great but I don't know why I need this - is it a solution in want of a problem or are they modeling something used in other animation tools?
Hi @MikeTaylor-uw5zy, The Animation Layers are contained within each motion clip in the timeline, and any edits made in the ""Edit Motion Layer"" will create a key in an Animation Layer. These keys can be copied to other motion clips in the timeline. For example, if you added a lift arm motion edit to a ""Walk01"" motion clip (and stored it on the ""Lift Arm Layer01"" in the Animation Layer dialog), and now you want to apply that same lift arm motion to a different ""Walk02"" motion. You can select the Animation Layer (""Lift Arm"" layer) where the keys are stored, and copy all the keys in the timeline (Right-click > Copy), then paste them to the new clip (""Walk02""). The Animation Layer stores manually edited keys, allowing you to transfer them to another motion clip. Pasting keys to a different motion may lead to unexpected results in how the motion is performed.
now all reallusion needs is an inbuilt render engine that rivals UE5 and physics like cascadeur's autoposing/autophysics and jiggly bones. and i wont need any other software.
I would like to be able to use clips on these layers that I can move around and i can blend in and out. This way, I would use a surprise, anger, etc. clip and blend it in and out right where I need it and use a different animation/pose/etc. clip after it. This would make everything so much easier. I could chose from clips and would not necessarily have to fiddle around with keyframes (unless I create new presets) and second, I do not need so many layers for different things. I simply have clips, just as in video editing software. Blending in and out would simply be using the edges of the clips.
this is a great update. i end up gumming up my animation a lot with the iClone 7's current motion edit layer.
Awesome thanks RL👍
This fantastic!!
how do you turn off auto keyframes does anyone know please? also is it possible to have a separate window/workspace so i can drag to a 2nd monitor?
THANKS!
I need to know how to fix motion popping when using the reach target and edit motion layer.

Love it!
Is there any way to swap the base motion but keep your motion layer edits from the previous motion?

Cant add additional keyframes across looped animations
Super super. iclone-First

Do those also work with expression layers?
@Isaac Lin it would be good if it did.
