What a wonderful great gift it was dicovering Lily Kershaw while watching Criminal Minds
carrarmat How very well-stated! We got a "two-fer." lol. She's brilliant. Her performance in "To Hell and Back" was SO believeable and she sings like an angel. Hope everyong has heard her songs: "As It Seems," (my fav, I think...lol), "Ashes Like Snow," and "We Are the Youth of Today." I Think that's the title. Anyway, What Talent!! Cheers to all! Snowy

Yet Reid, who was just "incredibly lucky" to survive a gunshot in the neck, expressed his faith in life by quoting Joseph Campbell: "We must be willing to get rid of the life we planned, so as to have the life this is waiting for us."
Then season 9 of Criminal Minds ended in the soul touching by Lily Kershaw.

Amazing and beautiful vocals seems to draw one into the lyrics of the song, something only few singer songwriters are able to do is to sing from the heart and to bring others to feel what the artist is feeling through the words of the song.....Hats off star***
I think the Alex Blake character had much more potential than the writers gave her in the scripts they produced. She was just sort of a "stand in" for the departed Emily Prentiss (who was and always will be irreplaceable), and her character was never allowed to grow and expand into her own.
Of course, I think the writers were probably gun shy after they tried to force the "Ashley Seaver" character on fans in Season 6 to replace both JJ and Prentiss. Again, there was nothing wrong with the Seaver character, and I think Rachel Nichols did a fine job with her -- just as Jeanne Tripplehorne did great with Alex Blake -- but most fans were hostile to Nichols simply because the writers and producers used her to replace their favorites. Which was pretty stupid of the writers and producers. They didn't want to "push" the Blake character for that same reason -- and instead UNDER-utilized her.
I don't blame Tripplehorne for leaving -- if indeed she wanted to. Or, it could be the writers and producers felt she wasn't "necessary" to the plot and and the core "team" of the show. She could have been. It was their failure, not Tripplehorne's, that the Blake character wasn't.
Anyway, sad to see her go, and sad to see Reid again dealing with a "loss," even if this one is only a professional, "on the job" loss. I'm sure he will still "guest lecture for Alex on her Linguistics classes at Georgetown -- off script.
This is probably the new song they were talking about for the season nine finale!

I'm way to emotionally attached to this show. I just❤everyone, I feel their pain and it's 2019 and I continue to run reruns on Netflix up until it time to go to bed...I also have seasons 1 thru 6 on DVD that was given to me as a gift...Now this is where I'm going with this story because I don't watch tv. I ran across something to the effect of Spencer and someone on the show as love interests. I don't think I'll be pleased with that. I always loved the show because it was so smart and classy, everybody is family so no to that if it is just so...Ok time for bed and another episode...Thank you with Peace and ❤
